Facts About The Spinosaurus

The Spinosaurus is in the top ten list for most deadliest prehistoric species in the world. It is said to be even larger than the T-Rex itself even though it is not as popular as the Triceratops or the Ceratosaurs. It is still the one of the most deadliest land dinosaurs ever to exist. Soon people discovered or paleontologists discovered that the Spinosaurus is even taller then the T-Rex by height. Now I will discriminate three facts about the Spinosaurs.

Spinosaurus is a theropod that lived in what we now call North Africa during the Cretaceous period about 112 to 97 million years ago. The best estimate is around 100 million years ago. Its name means Spine Lizard and fossils of this dinosaur were found in Egypt in 1910. It could have been the largest carnivore dinosaur ever.

Some studies estimate that the Spinosaurus was around 15 meters length and 7 to 20 tons each.It had distinctive spines that grew on its back  that grew about 1.5 meters long.It had a thick long skull. It usually walked on 2 legs but it may have occasionally crouched on 4. Also that it could use its long arms to kill any other dinosaur. Since its bite force is average. If a Spinosaurs was against a T-Rex it would win because this dinosaur had strength and power on it's side while the T-Rex had Extreme Bite force with it.

Spinosaurus is also identified as the world's first Swimming dinosaur ever! The sails on its back supported by neutral spines. You may not have known this but Spinosaur's type fossils were destroyed in world war 11. This dinosaur was not technically the only dinosaur with a sail on its back there is another dinosaur called the Dimetrodon or a Ouranosaurus. Suchomimus  and the Irritator both resembled scaled dinosand they both had crocodile like jaws.

In conclusion the Spinosaurus was a very deadly dinosaur with massive possibility of being more popular than the T-Rex. It is also the one of the coolest looking mammals or theropods ever to be existed.
