Field Day today

Today is June 5th

Friday.

weather out side is cloudy and windy. Even though we had some sun middle of day. The best thing was it didn't rain.

Today is class Field Day. Field Day is when all the students show their athletic ability and sportsmanship. Let me start from the beginning.

When I woke up I brushed my teeth and combed my hair. Then I watched TV and played with my iPad until 7:08 so I can start getting ready to go to the bus stop. When we got their I saw my other friends in the Field Day T-Shirts. Mine was yellow while my other friends had green and red. Their were more colors like blue and purple plus orange. When we got on the bus my friend and me talked about how Field day was the whole Day.

When I got to my class I saw the schedule and it said that we had to learn. My teacher told me that was for yesterday and she didn't fix the schedule. My teacher got a rainbow T-Shirt. Everybody in my class said that she was so lucky for getting a rainbow shirt. When we got outside we were put into groups. My class won so many times that we couldn't say anything. Each class was put with a Field Day volunteer. 

The first event was the potato sack race. We had to put on a potato sack and hop all the way to a cone and go over it ,then we had to come back. When we did this in the gym I was slow but now that we are in the grass I went so much faster. I was second place. Then we had to go backwards I was really good at that. For that one it was for fun.

The next event was the running event. In the running event we had to run 50 yards and come back. I was 3rd place when we were running. It was so fun. I don't know why people like this but I am just going to say it Pear in my Square and I am never giving a dare to a bare bear !!!!!!!

The third event was the sponge race. There was a big pool of water where we had to use a sponge and  soak up all the water and then come back and fill our bucket. My team won easily. In the Fourth even we had to grab a bucket and run in a circle back to your team and if you won you get 10 points. The second time we did it I fell down! My team had an outrage.

When we got back to the school we had a two hour dance party where the whole school gets to dance in the cafeteria. I was doing a little street dancing and then some cha cha. We even got free pizza. When school as done and I went to aftercare we got to go outside and play.

It was the best time ever!!!

My day wasn't end here yet. I came home read a book titled Who was Franklin Roosevelt.

I learnt that he was elected four times and total served twelve years as president.  I learnt that he was one the best American president and people loved him so much. While he was 39 years old he was struck with a disease called polio. He never walked again but he fought hard to stay strong and healthy. He never gave up. That spirit was really amazing.
