Another Half a Day.....

So today at school nothing really special happened. However my homeroom teacher told me that what he said was wrong. The first eight people in each class who reached thirty was not correct. Unfortunately he isn't going to tell us what the system is until the end of next week. On Monday we also don't have school because of "Columbus Day". I don't know why America or at least my school still focuses on this holiday. I mean most public schools don't celebrate it at all. Today was also a half a day so we got to leave early. Now lets begin by talking about Homeroom.

As soon as me and my friends entered the class we didn't see a lot of kids. Only about half of the students were there. Apparently my bus was early, which surprises me. I actually got to finish my breakfast and get ready for Science. Since Science started our teacher unexpectedly put on the news for Hurricane "Matthew". Matthew was supposed to be threatening to New Jersey, until the Hurricane center looked at it more carefully. Now Jersey city is not supposed to be hit by this Hurricane. I am really happy for. The hurricane however was drastically affecting Florida's coast lines and beaches.

After Science we had Social Studies. In Social Studies our teacher gave us the study guide that we had to keep for Tuesday in order to go further into the packet. After Social Studies we had Gym, but when we got upstairs to the gym no one was there except for our health teacher. I was about to be super excited because our health teacher this year was my gym teacher last year. Then our assistant teacher Ms. Amiko came into the class and told everyone that our 6th grade gym teacher was in the cafeteria waiting for us.

Now that we finally had our real gym teacher the activity started. He told all of us to set our book packs aside and sit in front of him. The activity for today was to find a group of seven people and sit  back down together. Then each team would go to the end of the pool spots and wait for our teacher to give the signal. The person running had to step on all the polly spots and not touch the ground. At the other side you had to grab a tiny ball and go back to your group. Whoever has the most balls by the time there is no more is the winner. The girls beat everyone two times. I'm just going to get that out of the way.

After gym we had one more period. It was math...... For math our teacher was going to review the questions from the test that we took yesterday. However she didn't have enough time because everyone was talking and the period ended before you know it. It actually felt like half the time we were supposed to get, which is 20 minutes. Each person had a marker and a sock that was used as an eraser. You had to write on your desk with the marker and the sock could easily erase it. Well thats all for today everyone and nice knowing you.
