School ended today and I'm not feeling like writing too much about it. However, that doesn't mean I'll entirely skip it, so here is a recap of today's school day. My first period was actually not Social Studies (usually have), but instead an assembly. Apparently, an author who came to the school wanted to talk to us kids about his career and some interesting facts about acting. You see, he was also an actor long before making books and performed in many movies and plays. If only I could remember his name, he seemed old mostly because of the way he walked and the fact that he had grey hair. The book he wrote was called "A World Without Color". Oh, now I know his name (had to type it).
His name is "John Amos" and as I scrolled through the "images" on Google I saw a lot of them. Apparently, he was a football player and played in a lot of different teams. Then when that career ended he auditioned to be a character in a CBS show called "Good Times". That must've been a great feat for him, being able to star in a show and act for it. He must've had a great time performing because every picture I see of him is when he's smiling. However, he couldn't have always smiled because there was a link that said John Amos was fired from the show because he didn't agree with the way his character was supposed to be in that specific episode.
I'm sorry for saying that this was going to be a recap but then type a whole two paragraphs about a guy who was talking in my school, in the first period! When the assembly was finished and everyone said goodbye to him, my next period was P.E. I assumed that we would stay in the gym for P.E but our teacher took us outside to the field. It was basically a "Do whatever you want" period where our teacher would grab some balls and then let us do whatever we want. She limited the places we could go to from the football field and the basketball court. Since I didn't like basketball I played tag with some of my friends. Then before time was up my friend invited me to play a game of volleyball with a few other kids.
The rest of the day was just classes, after classes, after classes. I wanted the day to end as fast as possible so that I could get home and start my homework. On Google News, I read about 2 stories. One story talked about my favorite game, Destiny 2. Okay, I don't really have Destiny 2, only Destiny 1, but I hope to get it for Christmas so that I can play it. It seems really fun and I really want it, however, I don't want to ask yet because it is not Christmas and I want my parents to not have to worry about me. Besides that, it may just annoy them and make them not get it at all. Anyway, Bungie (creators of the game) was going to live stream (youtube) about the new DLC they would add and I really wanted to see it but I just read that they canceled it so that they could instead talk about more important things.
Now I know what you may be thinking. "What could be more important than adding something new to the game?". Well, "Destiny 2" has been losing its player base my a lot over the past few days ever since Bungie had been exposed from rigging the XP (experience points) system in the game. Besides that players think that Destiny 2 doesn't have nearly as much content as Destiny 1 or at all in general. The game may already be dead but I still want it because it's the second version to one of my favorite games. The second story is about North Korea (totally different topic) and how Kim Jong Un has launched a ballistic missile that appears to have been able to reach Washington D.C. I think that is pretty crazy that North Korea can actually fire missiles that far away but a man by the name of Marcus (specializes in missles) says that it won't be a threat so I'm not as worried.
