I was snowing for the first time in a while here in New Jersey and my friends and I were extremely surprised. Sure the news articles and weather reporter already said it was going to be snowing but I didn't know it would be this much. In addition, apparently the snow was supposed to stack up to 5-10 inches of snow. However, I find that hard to believe since it is raining as we speak and that will most likely cancel any chance of having no school tomorrow. But imagine there was no school! Maybe when we wake up the snow is going to be piling all over the place. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem likely because when checking the weather on my phone it said it was going to be snowing for the rest of the night. I just don't know whether it also means snowing because I don't remember ever seeing the snow icon on the weather app before. That's what makes me curious if there is going to be no school. Either way, I am happy to see it snow for the first time in a while, what I'm not enjoying is the fact that there is no recess so we most likely won't be going outside for quite a while.
Anyways, the rest of this post is going to be a rant about the snow because I've only been saying the good things. Now, today when I was heading towards Math class everyone in the school was saying it was snowing and I rushed over to the window to see it for myself. Believe me, when I first looked there was only like half an inch of snow, but over the course of like an hour it came up to 2 inches. And by dismissal it was like 2 and a half inches. Finally, when it was time to head towards bus rooms my teacher was telling us that we were going to be expecting the buses to have a slight delay. However, after 10 minutes I knew it was going to be a while before the bus came. After another hour of my friends dancing in the middle of the room and me wishing I could record them if only my dad didn't take my phone, the bus coordinator said our bus was here. And the sad thing was that one of the other buses had already left 30 minutes before, we were the second bus to leave.
Or so we thought, but in reality we needed to wait another 15 minutes because they were just transferring the students into the multi-purpose room. I was hoping my friend was going to be there but then I remembered he was on the bus that left 30 minutes earlier than everyone else. Finally, the bus came but wanna know what happened while I was getting out. I was trying to close my bookrack and broke the zipper so it wasn't closing correctly and there were two different gaps where snow could fall in. So I had to grip the hole closed tightly and then get my whole face wet since if I let go of the hole then my face would get wet.
