Lincoln and his Boys

Today I am going to write a story about Lincoln and his boys. It is a book that is rated for 3rd grade to 6th grade, His two boys are Tad and Willie. In many parts of the story the narrator changes and a new person speaks.

Part 1
Everyday me and my brother run towards my father's work place in Adam's street. Mr.Herodn who is my father's law partner likes quiet things, Whenever me or Tad make trouble my dad doesn't deal with the problem but his partner Mr.Herndon shakes his finger at us. Papa is running election again against or most likely Mr. Douglas. Mr. Douglas was papa's last opponent in his other election. The reason the family doesn't like him is because he made lies and cheated in the election without anybody knowing. Soon me and papa get to go to the courthouse in Chicago in order to find out about the election. A lot of people talk to papa because he was the person who lost in the other election against you know who. Father gets ready to enter the courthouse. When he does they talk a lot about being president t and the responsibilities. After  When they came back from Chicago in the train mom and Tad wait for them.

Part 2

Father is elected president of the U.S now. He has all of the responsibilities in the whole United States of America. While the family get in their car to the white house where they will stay they meet a lot of people  in the closer towns who greet them. One of the bakers there even made them cookies and muffins. Between many stops papa reads his speech to everybody in the neighborhood around him. In the train ride Willie and Tad ask papa for many piggy back rides and wet willies.  Willie asked father the one question that makes him wonder. What is he going to to do in order to stop the civil war for slavery in the U.S.

Part 3

Wille dies in the middle of the morning the next day. People from everywhere come to the white house in honor for all of the soldiers and Willie who have died there. They cry so much but now Tad is all grown up to the age of nine years old so he can ride a horse and carry mother to the ceremony. One night Tad asks papa if the cicil war is going to end and if they win. The next couple of day news has been received that the U.S won the war and that Lincoln was right after all. He met with all the negros in the war. The all cheered for dada to congratulate them for freeing them and to be grateful and to this day you can still here the shouts and cheers of those people.
