Yesterday my classmate's birthday finally came. Actually it was Friday, but who's gonna complain. Anyway she gave everyone in the class three items. A cupcake, chips, and drink. I told you all of these "treats" that she was supposed to give yesterday. My friend and me were really excited and pumped fists. Apparently when we fist bumped the guy fell down. Then we did it again only this time he faked the fall. However I know the first one was real because he actually fell down and wasn't laughing. The second time he laughed before he fell down. At our afternoon bus the both of us watched some youtube on his phone and drank juice.
Another satisfying event that happened today was that I got a 92.5 on my Social Studies test. My actual score was supposed to be 87.5 and my friend noticed it. Thats why he told me to tell the teacher because he was jealous. When he said that everyone in my group was laughing about him being jealous that I got a better score. It was really funny. So funny that the teacher realized I was laughing and gave me a warning. When I told the teacher the mistake he made grading the man said that I could keep my score due to the fact that I showed integrity. If you want to know what integrity means I dare you to read one of my first posts that I ever made.
After him telling me I could keep my score I headed up to my friends and told them the news. Apparently my friend, John, got really mad and his face got all red. Everyone was laughing and when he heard us laugh there was just no way he could be angry anymore. At recess I did play soccer with my friends and scored a goal. I was also able to hit the ball with my head while it was in the air! Thats a really big accomplishment for me. Umm, I did learn more about Singular Possessive and finished my Math homework. That is all I can really say about school for today.
Today at home I did finish the book I talked about called " The Girl Who Chased Away Sorrow. The Diary of a Navajo Girl.". Last time I told you guys that I wasn't able to finish the book and know I did so I'm going to summarize the book in my way. This book is about a girl named Sarah Nita who's family was overrun by white people. The white people decided to travel all the way to a fort and by doing this forced the Navajos into a long journey. This journey was called "The Long Walk". I certainly can't imagine being in this girl's position.
When the Navajo people reached the fort Sarah Nita and her sister decided to look for their mother and father since the two were separated form them. In the end Sarah Nita made new friends and family. While on the fort the white people were informed to take some of the Navajo people to another fort called "Fort Summer". While on this second journey the two of them and their family saw many people left behind or dead. Other people escaped or drowned while passing rivers. It was completely uncivilized. When the two kids reached "Fort Summer" they found their parents. The End
