After leaving my house at 8:00 A.M I walked to my bus stop and waited until the bus came (was around 8:30 A.M). Once getting on the bus I sat next to my friend and we started talking about school and homework. When the bus got to the school I got out and entered the building. Then I walked up the stairs to my class. By the time I got to my class it was already 8:50 A.M and I didn't have a lot of time to get ready for first period. My first class of the day was Social Studies and my teacher played a movie or documentary on the Cherokee. He wanted us to know about how the Native Americans were being treated by the "White" Americans.
Once Social Studies was done the 7th grade had Community Circle. For Community Circle there was a performance from the chorus or band (only singing, no instruments) that was really good. In the front was about 20 kids standing in rows who were the chorus. Then on the side were the singers and what I assumed as the "best" singers. Now don't get me wrong, the were all "singers" and really good. It's just that the four peopele on the side seemed to be the ones with the best singing capability. Apparently this performance was supposed to happen so that the people listening know what is happening. It is about suicide and there is a very popular song going around that I forgot the name of but thye sang that.
Now I am going to skip lunch and recess because there was an assembly that happened in school today that I really want to talk about. The assembly was about anti-bullying and the speakers were actual police who had a lot of experience working with these type of cases. One of them actually worked as a police officer in the train station called "Journal Square" that I always go to. That specific police officer had been a police for 9 and a half years. That must be a really long time so I respect someone that spends that much time on a job. However there was another man who worked for 10 and a half years. The other two people were both women who had worked for only 3 and a half years.
Basically they started by saying that cyber bulying is the most common in the age group that I'm in but I don't have a phone that I can text someone so I'm good. I mean my game counts because you talk to people and message if you want. However all you have to is press the "block" button and that's it. Problem solved, its that easy! Anyway, he wanted to talk about pornography and how its illegal to send pictures to people about that or you get jail time. Then he mentioned that we should be mature enough to talk about that kind of stuff but never actually do them. Before they left they talked about ways people have been cyber bullying and ways to deal with it.
I have to talk about the news right now so lets begin. Papa if your reading this I am kind of interested to do the piano, like an electronic one though. I mean if that is okay with you, just saying. Anyway, on the news there is a story about Albert Einstein leaving a tip that has the theory of happiness on it and right now it is being sold for about 1.3 million dollars. I figure that something like that would be 1.3 million dollars if its written by Albert Einstein himself. It seems like something really inspirational. I hope the person who buys it will actually post it on the internat what the tip says so we would all get a taste of that theory of happiness. Anyway see you later.
