While getting up I got pretty grumpy, this is because I know a bunch of kids in my class are going to the Liberty Science Center while i'm not. You see, yesterday my teacher announced that Liberty Science Center asked her if they could borrow some kids for their new Star Trek exhibit. If the kids come and participate (also getting the chance to go on the news) they can have free access to any of the rides and activities that usually involve payment. The only conditions were that you needed to have the full uniform and come at 7:10 A.M for the bus ride. I really wanted to go but couldn't because none of my parents were home during that time and I had to drop my sister to her bus stop at 7:10 anyway.
After dropping off my sister and leaving my house at 8:00 A.M I walked to my bus stop and waited until the bus came. By the time it arrived at the school the time was 8:30 A.M. Once I entered my class I wondered where everyone was, there were a few backpacks but no kids. Then I felt stupid for not realizing that almost every kid came to the school at 7:10 A.M and left for the Science center. There was also a teacher there and she told me that I would have to stay with another class and follow their schedule until mine came back from their little trip. So I stayed with 7B, their were two reasons I picked this class. One was because the principal said any kid who didn't go had to stay with 7B and also because I have a few other friends in this class.
For first and second period in their class I had to endure 2 long periods of Math. The topic they were doing something I already did in my class so I decided to try and not waste any brainpower. Unfortunately for me the teacher picked on me a lot so I didn't really have a choice. After the two periods of Math I had Lunch and Recess. For Recess I just played tag with a smaller group of friends because some of them were at Liberty Science Center and at Lunch I sat with the same table I usually sat in, except with less people because believe it or not, some of them went to Liberty Science Center.
For Lunch I had some chips that I got at the deli grocery store and milk. Once Lunch was over I used the bathroom and walked with 7B back to their class. Then I had to endure another hard two periods of both ELA and Social Studies. For both ELA and Social Studies the classes were review because mine was ahead of every other class in every subject, even Spanish (I am so happy I don't have it today, but I do tomorrow). For Gym it was also a review because I played the same game as I did with my homeroom class last week. Either that or my teacher just couldn't think of another game to play. After Gym I heard kids in my class and that they came back so I said goodbye to 7B and joined 7A!
Before I started typing this post my dad informed me that something happened today in Manhattan. He said it was my job to find out what happened and type about it so here I go. Apparently 8 people were killed and 11 people injured (injured part was from my dad). A man named Sayfullo Saipov was responsible for this deaths. He drove a rented truck through a bike path killing 5 people from Argentina, 2 from America, and one from Belguim. This was a Terrorist attack and Sayfullo said he feels good about what he's done. He asked that a flag of his state be put in the hospital where he is because a Police officer shot him. That is all for today, until next time.
