Yesterday while playing on my Playstation Four, one of my friends told me that it was going to snow really badly tomorrow (today). I doubted him at first because sometimes the weatherman can be wrong or their predictions aren't always accurate. But I guess he was right! The temperature is actually 24 degrees Fahrenheit which is really cold. It doesn't really affect me because I don't have school for another 4 days unlike him. His school started this Tuesday which was 2 days ago. Anyway, today I finished reading "Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle". Good thing this is the first book because I don't have to read a previous version and have some more background information. Since I left off yesterday's summary of the trees burning let's continue from there.
Apollo was searching for Meg when he realized Nero and his 7-foot tall bodyguards weren't there either. The thought struck him when he knew that Meg had probably disappeared with Nero since he was her stepfather. Suddenly 5 satyrs appeared in the middle of the forest and sucked all the flames out of all the trees. However, with doing that came a terrible cost. All 5 of the satrys turned black and died from the flames. Apollo would not forget their sacrifice. Fortunately, now that all the flames were gone Apollo could easily break the cacoons that were encasing the 5 missing demi-gods from "Camp Half-Blood". Now that all of the demi-gods were free they walked back to camp only to find a monstrous bronze statue trying to break the barrier.
When I say protective barrier I mean the barrier that has been shielding the camp from any type of monster that could bring it harm. If the monstrous bronze statue destroys the barrier then it can enter the camp and wreak havoc among the other demi-gods. Apollo knows from the way the bronze statue looks that it was made by Nero. That is why he must destroy it, this was Nero's plan all along. To destroy "Camp Half-Blood" and build an empire right above it. With the help of the missing demi-gods Apollo is able to destroy the bronze moving statue. Just so you know, this statue is probably the size of 3 trucks horizontally stacked on top of each other, it's pretty big. Besides that, the statue was moving to due to magic. The only reason Apollo "destroyed" was by shooting an arrow into its ear.
Now, this arrow isn't anything close to ordinary. It is a plague arrow, something that the gods used to cause sickness and disease. The particular arrow that Apollo used caused fever. This made the moving bronze statue sneeze, the burst of air it released was so strong that its own head separated from the rest of the body. So technically Apollo did "destroy" it. Unfortunately, even if the moving statue was gone the damage it caused was very severe. One of the cabins got crushed, the holes it made from walking were huge, and the demi-gods themselves were injured. Though even if Apollo saw all this damage, he looked at the positive side. Now the demi-gods know what a true fight is all about, the holes could be used for a pool, and the destroyed cabin was a chance for those demi-gods to interact more with others.

From there the book was finished, nothing else happened. I wonder whether or not I did a good job of summarizing it. Never mind, you don't have to answer that. That question reminded me of something really embarrassing during 5th grade. When finished writing an essay, I wrote on the bottom whether it was good. The next day. I got my grade, it was an F! What really got me embarrassed was how my teacher answered my question, she wrote a big fat "NO" and circled it! It wasn't one of my happiest moments. But now isn't the time to talk about that, its google news! The story I read was about a movie coming out in 2018. Its called, "Black Panther". The trailer for this movie is really cool and I hope that I can watch it once it comes out. The story mainly focuses on the hype for when this movie comes out. It looks really futuristic and the editing is amazing! Fun fact, this movie is bringing way more excitement than any other black superhero movie to ever come out! That is all for today!
