After waking up, my sister and I walked downstairs to the kitchen. Since I had already taken two showers (this week) I put on my school clothes and began to brush my teeth. Then for breakfast the two of us had "Cinnamon, Toast Crunch". For the rest of the time, I just studied for my Math test. In Math, my class is learning about "Pie (3.14.......), angles (advanced version), and the "Diameter, Circumference, and Radius". At first, I had a bit of trouble, but after studying it today I felt pretty well. Anyway, at 7:10 A.M I walked with my sister to her bus stop. There, a bunch of her friends were playing tag and "Hide and Seek". Unfortunately, I had forgotten to bring my "Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard" book with me. So for that whole 15 minutes, I just sat on top of the fire hydrant trying not to fall asleep (wasn't actually falling asleep).
This may be a bit irrelevant but at the bus stop, there is this kid named, "Ronan" that constantly stands next to me or tries to act like me. Whenever I call my sister a butt (joke) he always says, "Yeah Monkyi, you're a butt"! Okay, he's honestly never said those exact words but that is the type of stuff he would say. Basically, Ronan is always agreeing with whatever I say. It was pretty awkward today when I was just looking for the bus and he was just talking to me. This may sound a bit mean but I don't even remember and a matter of fact don't care what he had to say. It's like he's trying to act cool but it is definitely not going. Besides that, he doesn't know how to cross the road and this one parent whose name I forgot helps him every day. Then again, he is only 10 so you shouldn't expect much.
Let me just write about my highlights for today! During Social Studies we had another debate and it just so happened that I and my friend were both picked again (from yesterday). Thankfully, for today's debate, the topic was about something we were already doing for a month, so I had the notes to use and say to my audience. In case you want to know, the topic was about whether teachers should be armed in the classroom. The notes that I wrote were all against it so when my teacher flipped a coin to see what side each group would get I was really scared. However, there was nothing to be scared of because my group got the against. I felt back for the one team who did get the affirmative because it seemed as though they were also against it. My teacher didn't have enough time to see who won the debate but from what I heard my group should have won (because of me and my friend who was on the same team).
The other two highlights for me were Math and Health. The reason I say Math is because I got a 90 on the test! At first I was nervoused because the questions seemed hard but after a few minutes of reading it and looking at the posters on the classroom wall I understood them. Then once I finished the test I found out that one of my friends got a 90 as well. After everyone finished the test my teacher let us talk until the period was over. Now, the the reason I think that Health was another one of my favorite periods of the day was because my class got to watch and finish this movie called, "Food Inc". It was made in 2008 and my class had already watched about 3 days worth of it. Unfortunatley, the snow days made it impossible for us to finish. Actually I just realized, this is the first full Wednesday in 3 weeks! Due to the snow dya and half days as well.

There is this post called, "What The Success of Black Panther Says About The American People". Now I don't really get what this post says even though I read it all because it doesn't say the answer. I guess it wants us to find it out for ourselves. However, the story does say stuff about what some people who watched the movie replied with when asked this question. Some said it was just a better superhero movie all in all. Others replied with, it's cool to see that the "Black Panther" resembles the present day of America. And that is actually pretty close to what the author is saying. In my opinion I feel as though this movie is based on the past, though it does have present day elements. When one of the main characters says he'd rather die then be taken into bondage and have no freedom. This relates to back when slavery was a think. Black people on board would jump off saying they'd rather have a quick death than be brutalized and tied up. What do you think?
