For today's post, I'm going to talk about my book called, "Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard". I think that this book is really interesting and totally worth $20. I just hate that my father wrote my name in the book. He could have done it on the inside of the book but not on the side of the pages! To be honest, whenever I have one of the hardcover books written by "Rick Riordan" the first thing I try to do is take off the cover. Because without it the front of the book just has a symbol, but it looks way better in my opinion then the paper cover. In case you don't know about "Rick Riordan" he is famous for making books about gods. So far he's done "Greek Mythology, Egyptian Mythology, Norse Mythology, Korean Mythology, and Mayan Mythology". Unfortunately, the man hasn't done Chinese or Japenese Mythology because that's what I really want to see. I'm not that interested in Korean gods.

Anyway, now I'm going to summarize this book. Magnus Chase is the protagonist and is met with a task to end "Ragnorak". In case you don't know what that word means, the definition of "Ragnorak" is the final battle in which the all of the Norse gods fight against Loki who is teamed up with Hel (Goddess of the Underworld) and the undead, giants and other deadly beasts. Apparently, Ragnorak is supposed to happen but Odin (all father or creator) and his team of gods delay it. However, this time the job was passed onto "Magus Chase", the son of Frey and Freya. Thankfully, Magnus has a team of his own which include, Mallory, Alex, Sam, HearthStone, T.J, and Blitzen. On the journey for this book, they found out that in order to beat Loki they need to defeat him in a flyting. Back in those days, a flying meant a competition of insults.

There is a mead (an alcoholic drink made of fermented honey and water) made by Kvasir (god) that has the power to grant it's user a boost in the poetry unit.  Magnus and his crew set out to find this mead and find Loki's ship before it gets close to Ragnorak. Then they fight and whoever wins either saves the world from chaos and destruction or the 9 cosmos will be disintegrated into nothingness. The one thing I always about these type of story plots (the one where the evil guess wants to destroy the world) is that there is literally nothing you can do then. Now, if they wanted to conquer the world that is a different story. Let me explain, destroying the world would put the evil guy with no one if he even survives at that point. It's basically a lose-lose situation. You're killing everyone including yourself! Someone besides me needs to recognize this...

That is pretty much the summary of the book. I didn't want to literally go by what happens one event after another because then I wouldn't have enough space to put everything into one post. Then, whenever I say I'm going to write about it next time I never do. However, I will give some spoilers before moving onto Google News. For one thing, HearthStone meets his father (who was turned into a dragon) who had the mead and kills him. Then roasts his heart and eats it to apparently gain his wisdom, Spoiler 2: Magnus Chase doesn't insult Loki because he knows it isn't going to work and instead talks about how good he and his team are. Spoiler 3: Alex and Sam were children of Loki but hated him, which was why they joined Magnus Chase's group. Spoiler 4: Alex has the powers to swt=itch genders and is basically dating Magnus, the two of them open a mansion where homeless kids can come by and have a good sleep and food to eat.

Google News

Okay, I just forgot that today was the first day of "Spring Break"! The story that I'm going to be talking about is mainly Fortnite and my thoughts on Donald Trump. So as you should already know "Fortnite" is America's number one game in the world and just added a new weapon. This new weapon is called, "The Guided Missile" and apparently you get to control where the missile goes. I thought it was going to be where you could pick a landmark and the missile would come raining down but apparently not. Still, it looks really cool and I hope to get it soon. Now my thoughts on Donald Trump, he is the most disgusting, uncompassionate, untruthful president in the United States (jk there is probably a worse president). These are my thoughts mainly because of his immigration law. There are children who's parents are being taken away for not being illegal and he's isn't recognizing it. The man has good intents but is obviously not doing it right.
