my diary August 15th 2018

I just finished reading “Spirit Animals: Tales of the Fallen Beasts”. For some reason it didn’t show all of the Great Beasts. But then I realized that it was because the rest of the beasts hadn’t been captured by Zerif in the series. He wasn’t able to get all of them, though most of the kids still felt the pain of his actions. Anyway, I want to finish talking about the last two Great Beasts and these two are 2 of the three beasts that wanted to conquer the world in the previous war. First off: Kovo, the chapter starts off with Tadoka in a temple high up in the mountains. He was in a punishment because he got in a fight with one of the other kids. And although he’s known for starting fights this time it really wasn’t him, however he knew that there was no point in trying to prove that it wasn’t fair. Anyway, for his punishment Tadoka was supposed to go to the bell tower and ring it three times.

However, he was expecting to summon a spirit animal while doing it! That’s right, Tadoka summoned the great beast Kovo! Unfortunately, at first Tadoka was extremely scared and was about to fall off the tower. Thankfully, before doing so he realized that the ape was his spirit animal, and a great beast too! Everyone at the temple was filled with curiosity and caution. They put Kovo in a net and gently led him inside a cage. For some reason, the ape decided not to resist but Tadoka could hear him banging against the wall. After what seemed like an eternity Tadoka checked on why the ape was making all of the racket and saw the the walls were covered in blood! He was too caught off guard at first but then noticed that the blood prints on the wall resembled a picture of three eyes.

The kid was deciding what to make of this when one of the women at the temple handed him some winter clothes. He was confused but then saw Conor, one of the humans that saved Erdas from Kovo, Gerathon, and Halawar. Conor told him that he would have to hurry with him because Zerif would be coming soon. Obviously Tadoka didn’t know who Zerif was but felt like he heard the word before. However, his thoughts were put on hold because he and Conor both heard loud screeching coming from outside of the temple. It was Halawar, and Zerif was close behind! Tadoka said goodbye to the woman before running away from the temple that brought him hospitality and food. He hoped the Greencloacks would be better. As Zerif was catching up to them Conor told one of the other Greencloacks to start the boat. There were heading back to “Greenhaven”. But, before they made their escape Zerif threw a parasite at Conor and the little worm made a hole inside his skin, in which it could enter through.
