I actually took the PSAT 8/9 yesterday and it definitely wasn't as hard as I expected. But before I get to that let's start from the very beginning. So my father got mad at me because I wasn't wearing the school uniform even though my guidance counselor clearly explained that we could wear whatever we wanted. However, he had veins starting to show on his head and his face was just getting really red, so I felt bad and did as he said while knowing how uncomfortable my day was going to be. When we were in the car midway my father asked me which school we were going to, and I was astonished because why were we even driving in the first place? Anyways, I told him the address and in 5 minutes time we had reached our destination. To the proud school of "Franklin L Williams School". There were a couple of kids who were already there but for the most part I was probably the first 20% who entered the giant room first.
I was honestly baffled by the huge amount of kids that came in one by one as I was sitting in my seat. Most of the kids to my left were other folks from Beloved but this one girl to my right was from another school. And let me tell you she was extremely annoying. I think she almost tried to flirt with one of the boys next to her, which I know for a fact wasn't in her school because he asked whether he knew her. It was kind of funny but of course if I started laughing it would be rude, and considering the nice Asian Bhuddist that I am I simply turned to my left and started talking to this other girl about Anime. Don't worry, she wasn't from another school so it wasn't a complete stranger that I just turned around and was like, "What up! I like Anime, do you?". Finally, a really old woman with tons of dots and wrinkles on her face came up to the front and asked everyone to get ready for when your number was called. And belive me I came in contact with this woman more than once.
When my number was called we entered the room and started getting our scamtrons filled out. Remember that one old woman that I was talking about? Well, she basically just stood next to me for the entire portion of the first section so I couldn't stretch my arms or look around the room cause then she'd think I was cheating. Eventually, she went away to torture another student with her constant staring so I was saved. After the 4 sections my brain was done for the day and I was just putting my calculator and pencil case inside of my bookpack. And to think my dad bought a 120 dollar calculator at Staples the day before the test just so that I couldn't use it, believe me, I was extremely pissed. But I can understand this calculator could in someway be considered unfair cause of how "new" and advanced it was. After the test, I talked to a couple of kids for maybe 2 minutes before walking to my dad's car and driving home. That's it for today's post!
