Here are some reasons why I think that Fortnite is at a stage of dying. Yes, unfortunately at this moment Fortnite is indefinitely through a stage where the player base has slowly started to drop. The amount of ridiculous stuff that they add into the game that make it unfair and pointless. Fortnite added additions to the game that in no way we’re needed and seen as a way to hype players up for nothing. The planes are one example for this, they do offer a great deal of transportation and viability but to the other play in turn it is overpowered and unfair. 

If an airplane rams into you and shoots you twice you will indefinitely die. But to the most beloved weapons of the game like drum guns they were complete vaulted and removed from the entire game itself. Like when Fortnite removed double pumping the community was full of rage and thought that the drum gun was a great addition to the game and the way it sounded was extremely satisfying, but the developers thought it was “too” good and had it removed. Apex legends which is a new game has taken the gaming world by storm and many people are feeling the affects of this situation as of this moment. 

It takes references from both Fortnite and Overwatch, along with one of their own titles, “Titanfall”. Whenever you win a game in Apex it says “You are the Champion” which is extremely similar to Fortnite “Victory Royale”. 

In addition it gives all the characters their own abilities and gadgets that derive from Overwatch. Apex Legends developers paid lots of money to Fortnite Twitch Streamers so that they could play their game. This in turn became the turning point of Apex and now tons of people are playing the game because they’re favorite streamers are streaming it, this was a smart marketing plan on EA’s part, using Fortnite success to its own advantage. 

Fortnite is not fully optimized for macs.This really sucks because Mac players automatically have to wait longer than people who play Fortnite on the Windows. and for lower end macs sometimes the game won’t even run in general. Macs actually suck and honestly you can’t even reach above 80 frames at times. People who play on Mac can’t play on stretched resolution without having to watch some step by step tutorial that always has a few bugs and issues with it.

We deserve to be able to configure our game settings so that we can play the game the way we want to play it. Games always come to an end, even Fortnite. Video games can’t always continue to be popular and through the course of the generations to come everyone is always interested in the new thing, no matter whether or not they’re actually good at that game. One example is Minecraft, now minecraft isn’t that popular except to youtubers who still play it because that’s the only game their good at, or it just has good content to make videos about.
