Male feminism homework

What are the benefits and drawbacks of the feminist movement by having men as feminists? This is the question I bring to you today, and also the one that I will answer. The first feminist movement started in 1848 and began in New York. Women were fighting for their rights and wanted men to recognize that they were just as equal. The woman who started the feminist movement was "Elizabeth Cady Stanton" because she believed that women were just as good as men. Back then feminists wanted the world to know that no gender is greater than the other. Now in this essay, I am going to be mentioning what good and bad effects come from men becoming feminists themselves.

Let me start off with the drawbacks, if men are feminists then it sort of contradicts to the whole purpose of the feminist movement. You see, it was because of men that the whole thing about a woman getting less pay occurred. You think a woman would make her own gender have less income? Also, if men had just treated women more fairly than the feminist movement would never have happened. Everyone would be equal and no gender would get the upper hand over the other. Then again, I guess you could say that this a benefit because then the whole argument about feminism would never have happened in the first place. Also, the stuff that women say about men because they are "feminists" is really mean.

Because men become feminists the woman who started it in the first place start making a bad name for the male feminists that are just trying to support them. They call them names like fake and not worthy to be a feminist. Apparently, there was this one news article that had one of its stories named,  "Are you a man? You're probably a creep".  As you can see this is going a bit too far. And all because certain men are trying to help the women who are being oppressed for their gender. If women keep on doing this then male feminists will start losing interesting in this movement and turn back in sexists who believe that women aren't as good as them. Would you want that?

Now it's time to name some of the benefits of having men as male feminists.  One that is pretty obvious, men are coming to help and get rid of the stereotype of them being better even though they started it. This shows the "enemy" is willing to make a compromise or at least some of them. With this, the feminist movement will grow even stronger until some day females will get the same pay and other stuff that they have the right to obtain. In addition, men have a good reason to join the feminist movement because it benefits themselves as well. Studies have shown that the male suicide rate in the world is growing, it has already surpassed 24%.  Some scientists are saying this is because men are expected to be all manly or muscular than their former counterparts (woman) because of the stereotypes going on around the world.

Like I have already stated that male feminism benefits men as well as women. In case you don't know there are such things as male feminists too and they are at the same time fighting for gender equality. I know this isn't part of the actual essay but why is there a need for male rights? It's not like the women are doing better as of right now in the world. Most of the people in this world are sexists even if they don't try to be. Like saying this, "How come that kid is beating you in the race? It's a girl!" and "Boys can't hit girls" (although women seem to enjoy that law). Anyway, the fact is that male feminists are basically people fighting for male rights because they are at the same time going for gender equality.

So men joining the women feminism movement is certainly beneficial towards the females. We're all fighting for the same thing whether you like it or not. In conclusion today we learned about the benefits and drawbacks of male feminists. In my personal opinion, the benefits greatly overpower the drawbacks which aren't that much. There are many wrong and good things that come out of male feminists. So what do you think?

I'm pretty happy that there was half day because I get to go home early and do my homework fast. There is one thing that I'm pretty mad about but you need to read more of this post to find out what it is. Anyway, during Homeroom, I grabbed some breakfast and then sat down. A bunch of kids was just coming in because their bus was late and my teacher put a movie on the projector while waiting for my Social Studies teacher. Once he finally came we all got silent and waited for him to say "Dilly, Dilly, Long Live Wakanda!". And get this! He didn't say it today! I think that this was probably the first time this has ever happened and to think I just realized this. Because he got to our class late we couldn't switch with another homeroom and watch Black Panther. So instead we talked about the stuff that we were supposed to be doing this year but didn't have enough time for.

This includes Sex Trafficking and more stuff, my teacher said that at the very beginning of the school year when it was open house he had met most of the parents that attended there. Apparently, not all of them were enthusiastic. My dad went to the open house and heard what my Social Studies teacher had to say. I was surprised to see that he never said whether he thought what my teacher wanted to do was good or not since usually he always has something to say. Let me get back on track, according to him (teacher) the goal of this year was to talk about ten present-day events that are happening throughout the world. I guess he had a whole list because my teacher said he was deciding to show us what we were supposed to be learning in the next few Social Studies class es we have left. Besides "Human Sex Trafficking" there seems to be 9 more. I'm curious to see what they are.

Once Social Studies was finished we were supposed to have Community Circle. However, since there wasn't Scholar of the Month and no guest speaker the school decided not to have it. So instead my teacher continued to play the movie and that was how we spent our time. During Lunch, I had a pretty fun time. I ate Doritos with my friend and then we went outside for recess. The two of us played Soccer in the field and I even scored two goals. It felt super good to play and I had a pretty fun time. Afterward, it was time for Health class and I wasn't that excited. The "special" class that I care about is P.E because it's fun but other than that any grade that I get on those tests (for the special classes) doesn't matter to me.  My teacher just lets the kids who hadn't finished their test from last class do it and told the rest of us to be quiet, that was all.

Finally, it's time to discuss ELA class. First of all, my teacher told everyone that they should head to their Classic Book Clubs and work with your teammates since the presentation is next week. He's giving us as much time as possible and I'm grateful for it. Then, he made some announcements. One was that on the Finance Park trip next week you are supposed to wear your winter uniform which I still have (thankfully). Then, he directed this towards me while saying this to the whole class, that he was going to input the grammar test grades from Monday and Black Ships before Troy. I felt super happy when hearing this and know exactly why he directed this towards me. Because I'm kind of pestering him about putting the test grades in.

Google News,

This going to be about a movie called, "Heredity". It's a really scary movie that I saw the trailer for I think that it's probably freakier than the "Purge" or "JigSaw". And let me tell you both of those movies were a bit too scary for my opinion. Then again, I can't really say anything to those who watched the actual movie. That's right, I only saw the trailers. Anyway, this Heredity movie seems to really give the meaning of "Horror". Apparently, it's about a family who takes part in Satanic rituals and then they stop. But one day one of the family members brings back the rituals and starts a curse where someone dies. In one of the trailers it showed this freaky girl who looks like "Igor" or something. Let me know what you think about it.

The first period was once again Social Studies and my teacher continued watching the movie. I don't think there is anything else to say about this period besides how much I enjoyed watching "Black Panther" and we're at the good part right now, where the fight scenes start popping up. Anyway, let's move on to P.E. The teacher took us outside because she didn't want to stay inside when it was sunny. We did our regular warmups and then got free time. I and a group of other kids played Soccer because that was the most fun sport. Of course, some other students may disagree with me because they were playing Volleyball or just walking around while talking to their friends. I was the goalie for a few times but then got really annoyed at this one kid "Augustin" because he was copying my catchphrases and not blocking any shots (then again I wasn't much better).

The good thing is that I enjoyed being a player because it involved more movement. The only setback is that the goalies would kick the ball far away so someone would have to get it. Then, that person would run back to where the goal was and try to score. Basically, whoever had the ball first got to score. No one could do anything about it because most of the time that person would do a good job of juking other people, or try scoring from far away. Basically, what I'm trying to say was that P.E wasn't that good compared to the other classes. When it was time to go back inside almost everyone was sweating. The only people that weren't were those that just walked and talked to their friends the whole time. In addition, one of the kids threw the Soccer Ball on the other side of the street so we couldn't get it. I don't understand why our teacher didn't go to the other side and get it.

Was she afraid we'd start playing around without her supervision? Or is it against the rules to leave your class without adults around even though you'd be only a few feet apart from them? Either way, the ball landed in a puddle and during recess while I was walking to the field (again) the ball disappeared. Either someone from the school got it or a person from the neighborhood (the other side of the street) stole it. Now it's time to talk about ELA. The grammar teacher came in and said she decided to give us our EOY right now since we have so many other assignments and tests due next week. I honestly thought that this test was really easy. The least I could have gotten was an 85. I heard a lot of students from other students say it was super quick and since we are the advanced class it should be a piece of cake.

After the test, my teacher gave everyone time for our Classic Book Projects and then said we could eat dinner at 1:30 P.M. Soon enough your going to see more of my posts being about Homework because typing on the computer is way faster and it is a good excuse for writing 5 paragraphs. Thankfully, my teacher is totally fine with this, the man even followed me! Probably on next Thursday or Friday I'll be typing some stuff on this book called "The Three Musketeers" because it is 8 paragraphs. I'll do this, one post with 4 paragraphs of the essay and then Google News. Then, I could another post with 4 paragraphs and Google News. Afterward, I'll copy post both of the parts into one writing and show that to my teacher. Hopefully, he'll accept it because it's such a big portion of our grade (8%).

Google News

So I just saw two posts. One was about a man who kneeled during the national anthem at the White House. Apparently, this has started a lot of controversy considering how the whole reason those people were there was to talk about how you shouldn't be kneeling during the National Anthem, according to Donald Trump. So whoever kneeled down was 2 things. He was 1: "DEFINITELY NOT A DONALD TRUMP SUPPORTER". And 2: "IS A SAVAGE!". Okay, now I want to talk about this other thing I watched. It was a video about a man talking about how the "Philidelphia Eagles" won the Super Bowl. I guess their head guy was wearing some really weird clothes but started saying stuff about how no one besides their fans hoped they won the Super Bowl but yet there they were. The man was like this, "NO ONE LIKES US, NO ONE LIKES US, NO ONE LIKES US, AND WE DON'T CARE! GO EAGLES, GO @#$*% EAGLES!". I thought the speech was really funny.

Monday, June 4, 2018

The first period was Social Studies and my teacher continued the movie that we were supposed to already have finished a long time ago. While the class and I were looking one of the kids came into the room. I know this doesn't seem funny, but to me and my classmates, it was. You see, this kid is always late to school and has this look on his face like he just doesn't care. Anyway, my teacher announced that we were going to have our Social Studies EOY at the end of the year as well. This is including all the other homework assignments that I have due this week and the next. Now after this paragraph I am going to be going in "depth" with my feelings toward each class. Let me start off with Social Studies. I love Social Studies because of the funny teacher but it's honestly a type of "relax" period. Nothing really to do besides watch videos and wait for the teacher to say something.

After Social Studies was Science and my teacher said that he signed my class to go to the college fair that the 5th graders were doing. When we got there it really brought back memories of my 5th-grade experience at the college fair. My grade was the first one to do it since we were the oldest at the time. I really enjoyed it because my group got 3rd place. Of course, I didn't want to do Cornell University. It seems like great college to go to but compared to a lot of the other choices it certainly isn't the bit. I was surprised because I thought you weren't supposed to get to choose the college you chose. Yet, I saw a few of the same people do certain colleges (or at least I think so). Also, I'm surprised that MIT wasn't there, but Cornell University was (it took a bit of searching because the poster the group used was super small).

Soon enough Spanish came. Every time I have Spanish Class I think it is going to be super boring (this is mainly because I don't understand what the woman is saying). But it also comes out better than expected, though not by a lot. For instance, today's period. My teacher came into the room and complained that my classmates were being super loud. I can't blame her because most of the students were being out of control since my regular teacher didn't come to stop us. Thankfully, everyone calmed down after the 3rd or 5th try by my Spanish teacher. She pulled up a slide on the projector that showed our "EOY". In reality, it is a project but my teacher was kind enough to take it as the EOY. I'm really thankful because if it was an actual test I'd fail so hard. Now I have a chance to bring my Spanish grade up enough so I can get an Honor roll.

I doubt my other grades will go below an 80. In case you're lost let me explain, to get honor roll you need an overall GPA of 85 or higher, and all your class grades need to be higher than 80. Right now I am doing really good in all the subjects except Spanish. That I have a 55% on... But, if I can ace this project with a 100% and then get a decent grade on the next and final pop quiz I'll be super happy. That will give me the perfect chance to at least receive an 80. If I get a 79 I'll be super disappointed in myself. Most people wouldn't think that a project and quiz can give you an extra 25 points but in Spanish, the grading system is really weird. My teacher made the tests, quizzes, and projects 55% of the final grade while homework is only 10%. Anyway, wish me good luck on my Spanish grade.

This post is about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Apparently, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will not be able to have any of their daughters to inherit the throne because only men can become heirs. And the chances of them having a boy are very unlikely because both Prince Harry and Meghan are Feminists. Now at first I had a very low understanding of this word but after a while I understood that this meant a person who is focused on making the world recognize women's rights and what needs to be changed in order to improve them. However, that doesn't mean that they can't have a boy, besides it's not like they can choose which gender of a child they get. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Since I still haven't finished books yet for a summary I am going to continue talking about what I did yesterday. Since yesterday I left off at the part where I ate at Wonder Bagel let me begin off that. Once the three of us (dad, me, and sister) were done eating we left the store and headed towards our car. My father lets me sit in the Driver's Seat and told me how to drive the car (or at least the basics). I thought this was really cool and was expecting reactions from the people driving in front of us. Afterward, I went back to the passenger seat and he took my spot so that he could drive us home. At the house, I immediately took off my shoes and started wondering what book I should read. The day before I was reading some boring book called, "A Theif In the Night". I started getting sleepy after the first few pages.

My father that in New York there was a girl who was selling a bunch of library books for $1 each. And I guess that out of all the choices this one seemed the most compelling. He said he got it 2 days ago but I countered back asking why it was on the bookshelf. Then he responded with, "I put it there since you were still reading something else". I still don't believe him but decided not to push any further than I need to. So instead of reading, "A Theif In the Dark" I started looking at better options. That was when I came across, "Navigating Early". It's this book about a boy whose mother dies the day he was supposed to meet his father come back from the Navy. I thought that this story was really sad because the mother was planning to take everyone out to dinner, basically, it was supposed to be a happy moment.

But it turned completely on itself. I remember my dad buying this book from the book fair that took place at my school. It just so happened that I made a decision to read this one last out of all the books I got. After finishing both my reading and writing I walked upstairs and kindly asked my father whether or not I could use my Playstation Four. He said yes mainly because he didn't want me disturbing him but I didn't really care. The first and pretty much only game I played that day was "Fortnite" because of how fun it is. My friends helped me complete some of the "challenges" required to get points. And for this I thanked them. While playing, my dad told me that I needed to get some food from the Chinese place near Aqua Market.

It took about 15 minutes but eventually, I got the food and returned home to find out my mother was in the basement. Apparently, she was only staying for a few minutes and asked if I wanted to go out wither and my sister to a prayer for her mom. I kindly said no because whenever she does things like this we stay until eleven or twelve o'clock. And I've seen what happens to my sister when she doesn't get sleep. Once, my mom was working at this Tibetan birthday party and said we could stay and just wait until the party was over. Well, the "party" was over at 2:00 A.M! Thankfully, it was Saturday so I wouldn't have to worry about waking up late for school. Let me just sum it up for you, MY SISTER WAS CRYING THE WHOLE RIDE HOME AND I HATED IT SO MUCH!

Chapter Summary

Chapter 41

D'Artagnan was taking a stroll to think about his life and all his mistakes when suddenly he saw two guns pointing straight at him. The man ran and ran all the way back to the base before making sure he was safe. Afterwards, D'Artagnan needed to find out who was the person that sent these men to shoot him? He thought that it could have been the Cardinal but then finally decided Milady must have been behind it. The next day one of the superior men at the base sent D'Artagnan on a mission to recover a "bastion" with 3 other men. While they were walking two of the men disappeared while only one of them stayed. The two were confused until the shooting started happening again. The other man with D'Artagnan was wounded and died. D'Artagnan was able to fight of the two other men who disappeared since in reality they were assassins. One of the men begged for mercy and D'Artagnan let him live.

I'm just going to talk about my morning so far and then whatever paragraphs are left fill them up with Google News. So I woke up to the sound of my dad and sister in the bathroom washing their faces and going downstairs. Of course, I didn't feel like going downstairs but at that point, I didn't have a choice. For breakfast, my father said he wanted to take us outside, and because of this, I hurried to brush my teeth and wash my face. While I was brushing my teeth I saw a little spider that was unfortunately really close to the faucet and since I turned on the faucet the water was running. It was about 2 inches away from the water and whenever it got to the edge the spider just fell down and almost died. I could tell it was a "baby" because it wasn't as huge as the other spiders I've seen in my house but it still was pretty terrifying.

But because I was a Buddhist I tried to save it, or at least I attempted to. Every time it was close to reaching the edge or top of the sink I put my finger behind it to give it a little boost. And although I tried to help it I can't tell with being scared of little insects or insects as a whole. So as soon as it fell down and reached my finger and I got extremely scared and flicked it! After making sure the spider still wasn't on my finger I ran the water again knowing I probably just dropped it into the water (that means death). Please, Buddha, I did not mean to kill this insect, it's not my fault I have a Spider phobia (scared of spiders). You know that I tried to save its life. Soon enough, I got over the loss of the insect and put on my shoes (without socks because I didn't want my feet to get dirty).

My dad took us in the car and asked where we wanted to go for breakfast. He gave us two choices, either Wonder Bagel or Dunkin Donuts. I wanted to go to Dunkin Donuts because it has the "Texas Grilled Cheese Sandwich" but my sister wanted to go to Wonder Bagels. I don't even know why my father asked the question because he drove us to Wonder Bagels either way. I guess he thought it would be funny to see me by myself against him and my sister. I was pretty confused why there were 3 different stores in one building. There was Wonder Bagels, a pizza store, and then a deli-grocery store. I'm pretty sure that the reason the parking lot was full is that of Wonder Bagels. That just seems like a dumb spot to put a pizza or deli-grocery store. To be honest, I wasn't impressed at first with the whole look of the place.

It had a bunch of tables on the sides and tons of different options to choose from (food wise). But for some reason, it didn't appeal to me. And my dad kept asking me what I wanted to eat since I just came here I didn't know what they offered. The good thing is that they (dad and sister) ordered before me so I just had what they got. We bought 3 cream cheese bagels with a coffee (no sugar, just cream). Let me just tell you right now, I was expected greatness from the cream cheese bagel because I've even those before but this one was "especially" toasted to add that right amount of crunchiness. That was the amazing factor, everything else made it seem ordinary. Although, the guy at the cash register did give my dad, sister, and I plates to eat on (real generous). And those plates weren't paper, they were like plates you would use in family dinner.

Anyway, this was a great place after leaving and I hope you would try it too. Now there is this story about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Apparently, the wife actually helped Prince Harry with his diet and living a healthier lifestyle. It seems that because of Meghan Markle she was able to persuade Prince Harry to stop smoking and go to a nutrition advisor. That seems like a great wife to me! Also, there was this other post I saw a while ago about how Prince Harry invited his ex-girlfriend to the wedding. Someone made a funny meme showing the look on her ex-girlfriend when the two to of them were waving to the fans. According to the custom although you can invite the ex-girlfriends to the wedding they cannot be in the hall where Meghan Markle said her vows to Prince Harry. This is very intruiging, let me know what you think.

The first period was Technology since it was Friday and I happily walked to the lab. There, my teacher put up a Kahoot for my class to play because he thought it was a good way to end the school year with only a few days left. In case you don't know what a Kahoot is it is a type of program that you can put up on a projector for everyone to use, most people use it for schools. Basically, you can start up a game and then wait for people to join by typing in your code. I used to do this with my friends and it was pretty fun. Especially, when I found out a type of hack to the game. You are supposed to download on Google Chrome Web Store "Kahoot Smasher". Then when you activate it all you need to do is type in the code for the game and press on the little symbol in the middle of the screen. Every time you click on it a bot or fake player will appear in the game, it's really cool but unfortunately, the school banned it.

After Technology was Dance and my teacher took everyone into the classroom. We were supposed to write down notes for the EOY in Dance. I think that this is really not needed because Dance isn't even worth an actual grade. There is only S, P, I if you fail the class you can still go on to the next grade. Anyway, there are two parts to this EOY. In fact, it's not even an actual test, more like a project. The only reason I I actually care about doing it is that I hate the look on a teacher's face whenever you don't do something they ask you to. It's kind of like they're disappointed in you. The first part of the EOY is for you to pick a partner and make a one minute dance with them, afterward the goal is to have the video recorded and sent to your teacher. The second step is to make a self-critique of your dance.

Once the first two periods of school were over I got ready for Lunch and got in line. At first, I thought that the rain was still pouring but after close inspection, it seemed to not be true. So that's why I grabbed my sweater and started running outside to the courtyard. my friends and I played Soccer together while waiting for recess to be over. Then, during Lunch, I ate my Doritos and then helped with the garbage. Soon enough, Spanish came and I got a bit bored. We were told to take a pop quiz that I absolutely had no idea how to do. I should probably be in like 1st grade Spanish because of how bad I am at it. I know that if I actually paid attention it would be a lot easier but for some reason, my mind always drifts whenever class (Only Spanish) starts.

ELA was pretty productive, I didn't have any problem with it at all. I took another two quizzes during these two periods but had no difficulty with it. These quizzes were based on the book "Fever 1793". I thought that I would have problems with it because the last time I read Fever 1793 was about a month ago, thankfully my brain juices started working and I remembered enough to answer the questions with evidence. It took me about 15 minutes to finish each one and then I started skimming through my Math workbook to "study". Honestly, I just had nothing else to do because my book was in my locker and my teacher doesn't want anyone to go to their lockers during class.

Today the new "Blitz" mode came out in Fortnite. I am going to try to do good in this mode because the top 100 players get about 7,500 v-bucks. That right there is literally $80 worth of in-game currency. I know I'm not allowed to use real money to buy stuff so winning stuff like this is probably my best bet. Anyway, hopefully, I get some good luck and so do you! Also, I want to describe the Fortnite Shopping Cart. Apparetnly, 2 people can ride on it, one person drives while the other shoots. And the cool part is that you can actually dance on top of the shopping cart while the other person is driving! I can't wait to test try it after finishing this post, let me know what you think!

This weekend was like an epic study moment session where I just spent all of my time just practicing for the ELA EOY, the Math EOY, and the...
