I (Dad) was born in a small village in Tibet. Since he was young he loves to study learn things. my dad family was poor and they have no money to support him to go to school. My grand father wants to keep my father home to work with family’s sheep, goats and yaks they have. But my father goal wasn’t work with animal, he wants to go to school and learn things. After 8th grade, My grandfather refused to pay school fee, so my father has no choice stay home.
But he alway look for new opportunity to learn anything. One day my father found out if he join the monastery(where young people can learn Buddhist philosophy, art, language, literature , history and traditional medicine and much more) he can learn Tibetan buddhist philosophy, and Tibetan litracture and so much more. he stayed 8 years in monastery he learnt so anythings there.
Then my father went to a pravite to for two years to became teacher. However, my father’s goal wasn’t just became a teacher. He heard from people saying that there are free Tibetan schools for Tibetans in India. He gave up his job and walked all most three months crossed so many mountains and rivers including world’s most highest Himalayan snow mountains, slept in the forest, river banks and ate grass and raw corns and eventually caught by Nepalese boarder Police put him in jail tortured and treated so bad. He was rescued by Tibetan refugee receptionist in Nepal. My father didn’t give up his goal and dream to go to school and learn more.
In India, my father went Tibetan Transit school for 4 years, then he studied in Tibetan teacher’s training school. Then he went to Tibetan college in North india.
After college, my father worked as a teacher in Tibetan Institute of higher Studies north india. Then my father voted for President of Tibetan national democratic party in India. After three years in office. My father travelled to Italy studied in Bologna University for two years and he also founded “Tibetana Communita nel Italy” during staying there. He was the President of the organization and helped so many Tibetan refugees in Italy.
1999, my father worked as interpertor for centers of “Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition” in Europe.
2002, my father came to USA worked in a company named “Body of Truth”.
2005, My dad started work in Whole Foods Market. He moved from Cashier to Supervisor to buyer and now he is ATL Associate Team Leader.
