Goosebumps

I checked all the posts I have ever made and found out that I've never actually explained what Goosebumps is. Thats why I am going to write about it today.

Goosebumps is a series of horror fiction novels made my the author, R.L Stine. Every single one of his stories involve children taking part in a terrifying situation.  This title has its own television series and merchandise. It even has its own feature film. Black Jack plays R.L Stine in the movie "Goosebumps". Since the title's first novel its sold over 350 million books worldwide, in 32 languages! This book is so good its been listed as a best-seller for kids everywhere.

"Goosebumps" falls under the category children's fiction, if you don't know. Some people call it funny. I don't know why. Goosebumps is supposed to be a scary! Most of the events that make up the whole story start in a house or at a school. Those are the main locations.
It also occurs in remote locations with tons of people like cities and towns. Other areas can be suburban like foreign villages and   campsites.

Every book featuring the series "Goosebumps" has the same structure. They are all Narrative. All of them also end with endings that may dramatize or confuse you. The characters encounter supernatural happenings. R.L Stine has admitted that he doesn't add any situations that may seem to be too serious. He also excludes drugs and violence in his novels. So far all that I've read are true. Never have I seen a single writing thats bad in any of his books.

R.L Stine was born October 8, 1943, in columbus, Ohio. He is the son of Lexis Stine who is a shipping clerk and Anne Feinstein. As he was growing up he moved to Bexley Ohio or there the same place. It doesn't mention. His family was Jewish and began writing at the age nine. He found a typewriter in his attic and started writing joke books and other stories. When he grew up he went to OSU. While he was at OSU  he started writing in the humor part of the magazine. After finishing he went to New York and started pursing his dream to write even more.

After doing some more research O saw something that amazed me. Out of the 40 best paid entertainers since 1996 and 1997 he was placed in the 36th spot. That may not sound amazing but he made 41 million dollars in that one year. Cool write. I can't even imagine how much the number one spot can make in one year!  He was named America's number one best-selling author. Out of all his awards that he received in 2002 he got the champion reading award from the free public library, 3 awards from Nickelodeon kids choice award., and in 2003 got an award in the Guinness World Records for best selling author of all time. Remember that was in 2003 not 2016.
