Guess what day it is today? Friday, the last day of the week! But that doesn't mean the start of these days is great. I woke up at 6:00 A.M because of the alarm clock but quietly turned it off. Then headed back to my bed and slept for another 10 minutes. Right before I was going to get up my aunt came upstairs. She walked back downstairs with my sister so I relaxed in bed for 5 more minutes. At that point, I wasn't tired anymore so I went downstairs and grabbed my Winter uniform for school. Today was the day I got to go on the field trip! My teacher explained to me that I needed to wear my Winter uniform in order to go. I figured this was because it had the school logo on it. But for some reason, when I got on the bus the kids I knew who were going had on the P.E uniform.
Apparently, they didn't know we had to wear the Winter uniform and got scared. Fortunately, my teacher still lets them come with the rest of the kids. I forgot where the field trip was so when I asked my teacher he said it was the food bank. I've heard about this place before back in 6th grade and was even supposed to get a permission slip. But when my 6th-grade teacher was handing out the slips most of the other kids were being loud and obnoxious. For this reason, he took back the papers and gave them to another class. It seemed like a good opportunity to experience helping people. So when the time had come I grabbed my permission slip and walked towards the school bus that was taking my classmates and me to the food bank.
After 20 to 30 minutes of waiting on the bus, we reached the food bank! I kind of did expect the food bank to look like that. It was called, "The Community Food Bank of New Jersey". Once inside a nice lady greeted me and my classmates. She took us to a man whose name I forgot. However, the nice guy showed us what we had to do. Basically, there were groups of boxes separated from each other. Each group was for a type of food, like "Poultry", or "Beef", even "Ice Cream". In the middle of the circle of groups was a bunch of boxes just filled with good food or expired food. The good ones were taken to whatever group of boxes they belonged in. The bad ones had to be thrown in a big box called, "Frozen Garbage".
While doing this a woman asked me if I wanted to help her tape some boxes. I kindly accepted and she told me to follow her. I was still in the same room as the other kids but a long steel table was separating us. Apparently, the reason they needed to tape the boxes was so in case all of the boxes in the groups were full we could use these and have more room to fit the good foods. I was able to tape 10 boxes before heading back and sorting the foods. It felt really good to help the "community" like that knowing some people who need are going to have it because I sorted it into the right group. After saying goodbye to the nice woman and man my teacher wanted to take a picture, that was all for today!

Just in case you want to check out their food bank the link is: http://www.cfbnj.org. Anyway, after a few minutes of trying to find a story, I got one about Fortnite! My second favorite game in the history of my life. Fortnite is apparently getting a new map update. That means new locations on the western side of the map. I really feel like this is going to be a good thing because as of now Fortnite hasn't changed its map at all. Well, I mean "permanent" changes. The Christmas Tree was technically part of the map but it isn't going to last forever. That's why I think this is great, the developers are working their hardest to match the in-game loot with holidays and special events along the way. I'm really excited to see the new changes coming to Fortnite and I hope you are too!
