I didn't want to have to do this but writing five paragraphs worth of Google News would take too long. Instead, I'm going to summarize this book called, "Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry". The book also has a "Newbery Medal" so it must be pretty good. The "New York Times Book Review" has written, "Mildred D. Taylor writes not with rancor or bitterness of indignities, but with pride, strength, and a respect for humanity". There are many other reviews from websites like "Booklist" and "Kirkus Reviews" but this was the shortest one. Mildred D. Taylor has made other books such as "The Friendship" and "The Gold Cadillac" as well.  The introduction was made by "Jacqueline Woodson" who is another one of my beloved authors, who talks about how this book reminds her of her childhood. Anyway, lets start summarizing the book!

Cassie (the main character) and her brothers are heading towards school, which is an hour long walk from their house. However, they don't get very far with one of the brothers (Nickname: Little Man) not wanting to get his shoes dirty on the dirt road. You see, Cassie and her brothers are black and this story takes place in a time where white people were treated superior and black people were apparently, not even human. While walking 2 boys join the little group, "T.G." and "Jeremy". Unlike the rest of them, Jeremy is white but still wants to hang out. He doesn't have any friends in his own school and hates his two brothers. His sister isn't that bad treats black people like trash. Once Cassie, Stacy (brother), Little Man, and Christopher (brother) get to school they say bye and head to their specific classes.

Stacy has his mother as his teacher so he feels like school isn't going to be the best year. Once school is finally over their mother starts getting mad about the textbooks given to their black school from the "Board of Education" and how they're ruined. She decides to fix them for her students but is warned by one of her fellow teachers at the all-black school. Back home Cassie and her brother complain about the all-white school bus and how they get their clothes dirty. Little Man angrily asks why they don't have a school bus for their school and the mother simply answers, "There isn't enough money". The next day Harlan Granger (owner of the land they have) talks about how he wants it back. Unfortunately for him, the family refuses to sell it and he leaves.

Google News

I have decided to stop here and continue whenever I feel like it. However, I want to talk about Google News right now. I want to talk about Overwatch and Fortnite because they have the most interesting "stories" in the "suggested for you" column. Overwatch's story is about the upset from fans who support the "best" teams. So far, "Seuol Dynasty"
, "New York Excelsior", and "London Spitfire" are the best teams or on the top of the leaderboards. Just yesterday, Shanghai Dragons (my favorite team) did not win but they did get one point of the four matches. This shows a massive improvement from my favorite team and I hope they can get at least in the top five of the teams. That way I won't feel like I wasted points on them.

Now, this other story is about Fortnite. Fortnite has been having many issues with getting into the game and inviting your friends. Which leads me back to yesterday's story about Paragon. They are going to shut down Paragon when the reason they're doing it doesn't even work that way. In my opinion, it doesn't make sense shutting down one game for another game that is still in beta! Its honestly really weird and I don't think what they did was smart. Fortnite is an amazing game but if it continues having issues with logging in then it won't be great for long. Though yesterday they added a new update! The new item is called, "Chug Jug" and it is a consumable. That means you have to drink it. The "Chug Jug" takes 15 seconds to use but restores full health and full shields! Today's post is finished, see you next time!
