I thought today was going to be the worst day of the week because I had Health (boring) but it went by fast! I don't mean just the Health period. The whole day, in general, seemed shorter than usual. Unfortunately, some bad stuff happened today. Only one of them affected me. Anyway, let's get started. I woke up to the sound of the annoying alarm clock making its repetitive noises. After a few failed attempts I was able to get out of bed and turn of the alarm. However, my sister had her own alarm clock (for some unknown reason) and it was making an even worse sound! Eventually, she turned it off, but not for long. After she walked downstairs the alarm started ringing again. And she didn't even come back upstairs to stop it! Besides that, she knew I was sleeping but turned on the light before going downstairs.

That's why when I walked downstairs my body was physically and mentally not well. Trust me, I was not in a good mood. My dad didn't even let me take a shower because he says it wastes too much water! Like, he's the person that's been pressuring me to take more showers and then when I want to take one his whole opinion changes! By the way, this is not one of the bad things that happened today. Once I changed all my clothes and ate breakfast the rest of my time was spent on the computer trying to find videos on youtube for my new Math lesson. At 8:00 A.M I walked outside without saying goodbye to my aunt. This was because I, unfortunately, locked the door when I closed it (didn't want to waste time opening the door again).

My first period of school was Social Studies (like yesterday). My teacher talked about all the racial slurs for black people and Martin Luther King Jr. We even discussed something that happened at H&M. In case you don't know H&M is a clothing company and a few days ago they were called out by the media. You see, they made a new shirt called "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle" and the model for the clothing was a black boy. People started saying H&M were racists because "monkey" was something black people were called. So to suddenly have a black model is really confusing. Our class was a bit behind the rest of the classes so he tried to get through everything today. However, the time did not work in his favor so we need to continue our lesson tomorrow.

I guess I'll just talk about the "bad stuff" for the last paragraph on school. I don't know the whole story about this because my bus was late. However, I'll let you in on what I do know for sure. Apparently, a girl in my class called, "Makiyah" is being transferred to 7B because her grades weren't sufficient enough to meet the standards of the advanced class (one I'm in). The girl that replaced her was doing really good in her non-advanced class so the teachers decided to move her to my class. I haven't really gotten to know her like I do with everyone else in my class because she seems really shy and quiet. But I can see that she's smart because every time I see her she's either taking notes or going on the board to answer a question. Now moving on to the other "bad" thing, the whole Math period was spent arguing with the teacher about how she's teaching the class (my classmates).

Google News

When I say that I mean my classmates were arguing with the teacher about how fast she's moving from lesson to lesson and what we need to review on. The one subject my class struggles on is Math so we take to the teacher about it and she for most of the time don't listen. Fortunately, today she promised that we would do something different. The only reason I counted this as "bad" is that we didn't learn anything, it was an unproductive day. The story for today is called, "The Olympics in the Korean Crisis". It basically talks about how the Olympics could be a way for North Korea and South Korea to unify and become one, building better relationships between the two. However, America is really not helping them as the Olympics should not be taken seriously!
