For today's post, I'm going to be talking about this new book my father brought from the library called, "The Fault In Our Stars", by John Green. Just by looking from the back there are many comments from famous newsletters and other authors as well. John Green (author) is a "#1 New York Times Bestseller". He was born on August 24, 1977, and is right now the age of 40. One of his books was turned into a movie! It was called, "Paper Towns". And the funny thing is that I watched the movie a year ago. Paper Towns is based on a book John Green made in 2008. The man even made "Vidcon"! In case you don't know "Vidcon" is a "multi-genre online video conference" (cited from Wikipedia). I was researching John Green and found out he had his own Youtube channel! Anyway, let's begin with the book!
The book starts off mentioning the main character and shows she has cancer. Her name is "Hazel Grace" and she carries the heavy burden of depression. Hazel's mother takes her to their regular doctor and he himself agrees that she has depression. The doctor suggested changing her medications and attending a daily support group. Of course Hazel didn't want to go because she didn't think she had depression in the first place. However, her mother argued about it. In the end, Hazel decided to go because she felt bad for her mother. The "Support Group" was taking place under the church or more formally called, "The Basement". The leader of this group was recounting the tales of how he lost part of his genitalia to cancer.
While at the support group Hazel finds a "hot" (from her perspective) guy on the other side of the room listening. The guy starts staring at her and doesn't stop until Patrick (leader of the group) tells everyone to introduce themselves. Most people have cancer in the support group and one of the kids will soon lose his eyesight. Once the support group is over Hazel and the "hot" guy start talking. They become friends and Hazel introduces herself one more time to him. She explains how she has Lung Cancer and has to carry an oxygen tank wherever she goes. The only reason she's still alive is due to this pill that dramatically slows the process of her tumor growing. The guy is named, "Augustus Waters" and lost one of his legs to cancer. However, it was replaced with a fake one so you can barely see the difference.
Augustus even starts to flirt with Hazel calling her beautiful and he invites her over to his house. Before saying yes Hazel kindly asks her mother if she can go. Her mother was pretty excited that Hazel was making some new friends so she happily replied yes. At his house, both of them watch a movie called, "Natalia Portman". The reason behind this is because Augustus thinks the main character of the movie looks like Hazel. Then once the movie is over both of them show their favorite books. Augustus even offers to read it because he's so interested. They both talk about it so much and wonder what happens to the characters in the end since the novel series as already ended.

I know way more about the book, (approximately 150 pages more) but couldn't put it all in four paragraphs. Next time I will, anyway, for now, I was on google news and found a story on a bear and a tiger fighting. The tiger was just a regular tiger but the bear was a "Sloth Bear". Those types aren't necessarily aggressive as you could have already guessed from the name of the bear. I saw the whole video of the bear and the tiger fighting and unfortunately, the tiger won the fight. Apparently, what happened was that the zookeepers were trying to lead the bear and her cub to a pond for the tourists to take pictures. However, the tiger was already in the pond of water and wouldn't give up very easily. I guess the zookeepers were just too scared to fight the tiger and let the bears depend on themselves. This is why I don't like zoos, anyway, that is it for today's post.
