After Jupiter told Morrigan she'd be safe he told her to jump off the building with him. That's why they were on the windowsill. Morrigan obviously refused but Jupiter told her to trust him. She knew that it was either trusting the mysterious man who wants to save her life or die on Eventide. So Morrigan and Jupiter jumped and miraculously made it safely on top of a strange machine. She respectfully asked Jupiter what they were on and he said, "The Arachnipod". Apparently, it's the only one of it's kind since most people have newer versions but it still does the job. They were able to climb onto the nearest clocktower due to the "Arachnipod's" sticky legs and jumped towards the sky. Morrigan closed her eyes and when she opened them they were surrounded by a weird mist.
A voice suddenly came and asked what business they had there. Jupiter told Morrigan not to worry and did all the talking. Apparently, that was the border control that separated the "Republic" (where Morrigan used to live" to the "Free State" (where Jupiter lived). the voice asked for Jupiter's paperwork but all he showed was a chocolate wrapper. Thankfully, the voice was a friend of Jupiter and didn't need any papers. Jupiter and Morrigan continued moving on top of his Arachnipod. Finally, Morrigan could see something in the distance. It was a sign that read, "Welcome to Nevermore!". And behind that was a massive city filled with all types of colors in the distance. Morrigan was surprised to see something so bright and funky.
Jupiter introduced her to a massive hotel called, "Deucalion". It was Jupiter's most prized possession and he also revealed that Morrigan was going to become his candidate. That's right, she was going to be the sole owner of the "Deucalion" and a member of the "Society". However, before all that, she needs to partake in 4 trials. The first 3 are randomly chosen while the 4th is called the "Show Trial". That is where all the participants who have made it show off their "Knacks" or abilities. Morrigan told Jupiter that she didn't have a knack but he said she did. Morrigan was confused and that her "curse" was the "knack" he was talking about". However, Jupiter assured her that wasn't it. He even promised that when she made it to the "Show Trial" he would take care of everything.
Anyway, while at the hotel Morrigan made some new friends. Chande, a famous singer in Nevermore and also a friend of Jupiter himself (she likes him). Then, there was Martha, she is a maid that cleans up the hotel and notifies Jupiter whenever he is needed. Jake is Jupiter's son and he later comes into the story. His knack is the same as Jupiter, they both can sense the emotions and secrets of other people. However, unlike Jupiter Jake hasn't gone through the intensive training required to handle those secrets. That's why he wears an eyepatch. His knack is automatically activated through his eyes so when one of his eyes are covered it lowers the pain of seeing so many things at once.

This story I read was about "Fortnite" and I think it's really cool. There is a 13-year-old kid named, "Kyle Jackson" that plays Fortnite professionally. Well, technically he hasn't played a professional game yet but the kid has joined an actual team. They started playing for tournaments and Kyle is excited to hopefully win some "cash-prizes". His teammates which he met online and not in real life were surprised to find out he was 13 but still treated him just like everyone else. His parents supported his choice entirely and had no problem with it. Kyle's friends had been jealous of him because of what he has the opportunity to do but he felt no hate. Kyle also says that it's every kid's dream to play video games professionally but sometimes they just can't, that's why he was so happy to do so.
