Today I just received my honor roll award and I'm super happy! My father said that after finishing this post I can play my game so this is going to be quick. However, that doesn't mean I won't put my "feelings" into it. For one thing, it was raining outside so I didn't want to get my hair wet. However, I couldn't find a jacket so the sweater was my next best option. None of my hair got wet but my face was bombarded with little droplets of water and it even kinda hurt. Once I got on the bus there were a few kids talking about the honor roll ceremony and asking whether or not they were in it. I don't talk to hose students because they almost always get in trouble so instead, the next best thing to do was read my "Guinness World Records Book: Gaming". And to think my father thought this book would be a waste of money.
The first period was Social Studies and my teacher began talking more about Wakanda and Benin. We mainly went into the story about how the warriors that protect the "Black Panther" in the movie were inspired. Apparently, in the 17 century, the African culture of Benin would recruit the most courageous women of their kind to become a warrior and fight on the front lines. I thought this was really cool that back then women used to fight and become stronger than the men. They went through many drills to become insensitive to any kind of pain or sympathy of those they killed. Basically, they weren't supposed to feel bad about murdering their enemies. I'm sure that the training for that probably involved killing captured prisoners and animals.
That's the problem with everything, whenever something like fighting women comes up you think it's cool. But then it has a dark side to it that a lot of people think is scary and frightening. Anyway, now it's time to talk about the Honor Roll ceremony. When I walked with my class into the multi-purpose room I didn't expect to see my dad there. This was because he told me yesterday that he couldn't come because of work. However, he obviously went really early or just skipped work, I don't know either. When the Dean of Students started calling out names one by one to receive their awards I got really scared. It's not like I was afraid of not getting honor roll because otherwise, my dad wouldn't be here, but the fact of whether people who cheer for me or just not celebrate.
Thankfully, when Ms. Daileon called my name I got up and heard about 3 girls just screamed at me. Then, a couple of my classmates (new and old) were congratulating me while I walked to receive the award. It felt so good to know that people were happy for me, I try to build a good reputation in my class but sometimes it's not easy because of my funny attitude. Before I even got up to get the paper I was thinking about which way should I take to make it to the other side and back. Eventually, I just followed the trail of students and which direction they were going through. While walking back accidentally kicked one of the students with my leg, but said sorry and he seemed happy with that response. After me, about 30 other kids got their awards and I clapped for all of them.
I'm not going to do Google News because there is still some more stuff after the ceremony. Once everything was done the teacher said that students who got honor roll were supposed to head towards the right hall and enter one of the 6th-grade classrooms. There, everyone was supposed to take a group picture, I wasn't able to because a bunch of kids was crowding the locker but it was fine with me. Then, all the students that didn't get honor roll left to eat lunch, so I and my friend "Lawrencelie" got the privilege of eating from a buffet. I could tell there wasn't as much food as the last time (term 1) but still tasted good. Anyway, what I can say was that today is obviously the best day ever!
