One day with Dad New York central Park

I usually hate going outside but yesterday wasn’t bad at all. I got a couple of good photos of the animals in the Central Park Zoo and also ate food at the park nearby. But let me give you an in depth summary of everything I did (in detail). After waking up my dad said that he wanted to take us to the Central Park Zoo since yesterday it was raining. We originally had plans before but they were canceled since it was closed. It opens at 10:00 A.M everyday and then closes eventually. For breakfast we decided to eat cereal so that we didn’t pay money for food later. At Journal Square I had to go underneath the machine that lets you use the train since my dad didn’t want to use two trips on his card. I’m already 13 and yet I still have to do it, thankfully my mother lets me use her card so I have nothing to worry about when going with her.

I’m just always scared that the employees will see me not using a card and then we’ll get in trouble. In addition, there are always people who look at me when I go under and think that I’m crazy but don’t say anything. They just “stare” at me for a few seconds and then go about their day. Because my dad ran out of train rides in his card he either had to refill it or get a new one, and because of that we missed the train. However, I’m kind of happy we did because there were just too many people inside (I wanted to have a place to sit). After what seemed like an hour we reached 33rd street and walked all the way to Central Park. My dad never likes to use taxis because he thinks they waste money and I’m afraid that he’ll argue with the taxi driver about a right price if he does. It’s been 5 years since he’s ever been in one.

Yet my mom goes in a taxi basically everyday she’s traveling around New York and Jersey City. She knows how to debate a price and even has multiple taxi driver’s numbers who she considers some of her best friends. Especially this guy named, “Ali” that is always understanding and speaks Indian too. Let me just get to the good part. We walked over to the mall and then bought food at Whole Foods since my dad wanted to meet up with some old friends who I’m pretty sure moved to a different store for higher pay, whereas my father couldn’t since he needed to be able to pick us up from school and it was just a bit too far. At the Zoo we went to the kids one first and then headed to the the main zoo. I saw all different types of animals but was bummed since I didn’t see the Snow Leopard which originated in the mountains of Tibet. That was all I did yesterday.
