After Uniqlo it was time to go back home. we went to the Path station and caught the train back to Journal Square. It was getting pretty cold so we rushed to the taxi stand, however their were no taxi's to be found. I guess all of them were most likely spending time with their families or already had customers waiting for them. So we continued walking home and I showed my aunt the place where my dad got me my Christmas gift from him. She was surprised because to her it always seemed closed but inside they were actually open for everyone.
It just didn't look that appealing at first, inside of the store there are two women and one man. One of the women is younger than the other (around her 30s) and seems to run the cash register. Meanwhile, at least while my dad and I were there the other lady (who is much older) was just sitting down on a chair helping us. But to be honest the person that was helping us the most was the guy and he looked younger than the two of them (in his 20s) most likely. He was really persistent in showing us which shoes we should get, although when someone's tarted to call him he wasn't trying as hard.
Either way, my father and my agreed on a show that we though looked really cool because of the design on the top and I liked the way that it matches with my sweatpants. In the end, we got Nike Jump Force High's that were a size 9 and Navy Blue. I told all of this to my aunt as we were continuing walking home but that was when we noticed a barbershop that I was going to go to the day before schools tarted back in September. The only barber seemed to be someone who is Arabic and then I knew why it was open, because Arabic people don't celebrate Christmas like Christian, Catholics, and just other's in general. So we entered the barbershop and the last customer had just finished getting his haircut.
It was basically just him getting a bull cut (bald) so of course I didn't approve but that was his style so I wasn't going to say anything. I told the barber that my aunt and sister were going to pay when they came back from the store and he didn't mind. I showed him a video of the haircut that I wanted, basically a South Korean thing, although I didn't say those exact words. On the video that I watched it said that for American barbers all you need to do is ask for a disconnected undercut and leave the top long so it flows with the side part. Now those were the exact words from the comment that I read.
I literally said those exact words and he immediately started to go to work. The barber started with my back and it off, I made sure that there wasn't going to be a fade because for the haircut there can only be two layers of hair. The sides and the top, in the end he did it exactly the way I wanted to. Now obviously I wished he made the lines on the sides a little sharper but when I grow my hair you aren't going to see that anyway. That's it for today's post, see you next time!
