For today's post I am going to be talking about what I did yesterday during my sister's birthday. It was around 12:00 A.M when my dad came home and started yelling at me to do my homework as usual. I chose not to do my homework because it was her birthday and you should never have to do homework when it's someone birthday but he insisted and we both knew he would just get even worse. I just talked about Fortnite on the Mac and all of the clear disadvantages it has compared to a windows computer. Actually I didn't talk about it at all! I just mentioned my previous difficulties when trying to run Fortnite on my previous computer and how it's really hard and annoying.

This is a quote from a news article that I read, "If you’re buying a computer purely for playing games, a Mac isn’t the best choice. We always recommend building your own PC. Macs are more expensive than a desktop Windows PC, especially when you add on extra storage, memory or a faster GPU, and there’s a far smaller library of games that run natively on OS X, Apple’s desktop operating system, than you’ll find for Windows. And yet, Macs are hugely popular.". I was just reading this a while ago and hope that you will see how it supports my statement. So as you can tell from the little paragraph that I had just wrote it clearly states that there are a lot less variety of games playable on Mac than there are compared to Windows and every game that has ever been made for computers is usually on Windows because its a platform that can download games at a much better pace.

Now, I personally do not understand why when a gaming company creates a game they don't make an entire different version for the Mac. I mean, are you guys really that dumb? sure windows are better optimized but that doesn't mean that with the right settings you can't play the game on Mac as well. It's entirely Apple's fault that they don't add certain hardware into their computers that will allow the user to be on equal footing compared to someone on the windows. Sure they have Metal which is built in already, but that only opens up a few really popular games to be playable. Thankfully, Epic Games is smart and they know what to do with their games.

So they decided to make the Mac compatible as well so that players on the Mac can fight against those that aren't. And you know what the problem is? The fact that building your own PC is like twice as cheap as compared to a Mac and will be really good for gaming. I know that there is this one person from my school that has a gaming setup that's worth like 1000 dollars and he plays Fortnite at like 200 frames so there is absolutely no lag at all. Yet this computer is worth how much money? 1,700 dollars! And I don't get nearly as many frames as that. If I'm lucky I might get like 100 tops but that's it.

In case you don't know what frames are it basically means how many frames you get for every time you move your screen or something in the game is happening. If you have like 10 frames then you won't be able to ever play any game smoothly at all cause you'll be teleporting everywhere. The point is, it's sort of like good internet and slow internet. Though frames and internet are different they were represented the same way. The higher the frames the better your game will run and you won't have any problems, and you already know what will happen if it goes lower.
