So for my sister's birthday my dad got me this book by "Rick Riordan" called, "The Storm Runner" and from all the books that I've read written by this man they have something to do with mythology. I even used to play a game called, "Smite" on it but of course those days are over because ever since I've been able to play Fortnite there is literally no point in downloading Smite to play it again. None of my friends have it at all except for the ones on Playstation but people from console and computer can't play together anyway because that would be unfair, and it just ins't a really popular game anymore compared to Fortnite, this game is extremely popular and that's exactly why I enjoy it so much. \
Anyways, I was just reading the first couple of pages and the back of the book and I can already tell I will like it. It has something to do with Mayan mythology and that is actually one of the mythologies that I haven't read about as of yet. I've usually stuck to greek and roman gods, once a covered norse gods but that was in a single series. And I don't enjoy the Percy Jackson because I watched the first movie and it wasn't really that cool, either that or I just don't like how it looks. Like, the words are so small that it doesn't look interesting to me. That might make it seem like I just don't want to read too many pages but that is only for if I have a certain time limit.
Nowadays, as long as I read for like 15 minutes or so I'm good, and those are on the days that I even read in the first place. So the book is about this kid named, "Zane" and he has crutches and limps because when he was born one of his legs was shorter than the other. I feel really bad for the kid if he was real but I know that in the story this will eventually lead to some type of interesting plot that I will think, "Really!" or "How did this happen?" or even "Dang this is my type of book!".
He used to be made fun of because of this disability so his mom agreed that he could go and be homeschooled, that way he had a lot more free time on his hand. I wouldn't personally love this alternative just because I wouldn't have much friends to play Fortnite with and it just seems bad being separated from the outside world like that, although it doesn't mean he can't just walk outside.
So apparently, he has been accepted into this new private school as soon as he left his previous school but never knew about it until this year. So that is exactly why I believe that this school is either for disabilities or something related to the Mayan mythology. Like maybe he meets someone at the school that helps him become this savior of the world or whatever, it just sounds kind of stupid because all of this is happening at the same time. All these different mythologies, the Egyptian mythology is happening somewhere in Brooklyn. Then, the greeks are in like New York City unless Brooklyn is in New York, I don't know. Let me know what you think.
