Magic Tree House #21 Civil War On Sunday
One stormy afternoon in Frog Creek there were two kids named Annie and Jack. Jack was a year older than Annie. About 7 for Jack and 6 for Annie. Anyway they were Master Librarians who protect books in a Magic Tree House. Jack wondered when the Tree house would appear again. Morgan is the enchantress who takes care of the Tree house because it is hers. She makes missions for Jack and Annie to solve and overcome. Some of them are actually real business.
Annie rushed to Jack's room and told him that she thought she saw the Magic Tree house. Jack told her it could've been a flash of lightning but they still went to make sure. In case you didn't know when Jack and Annie go on a mission everything in the real world stops and time slows down. They entered into the Frog Creek Woods where the tree house was. Both of them climbed the wooden ladder and read a note that was on the floor. It said that Camelot was in trouble and it had 4 things that were needed to help. The first one was called "Something to Follow". So they both looked to the nearest book that was open. It was called "The Civil War". Both of them were worried but they had to. Annie said she wished she could go there and suddenly the Tree house started to spin faster and faster until everything was still.
When they opened there eyes they were in different clothing and Jack had his Frog Creek book to go back home and a leather knapsack. The saw wounded soldiers from miles or at least inches. Annie saw one of them fell down and wanted to help. Jack insisted to stay low but she didn't listen. She helped the man up until they saw a lot of tents in one open area of grass. It was a Hospital or at least medical tents with nurses.
Annie wanted to volunteer for helping the people in the first two tents. They were given a list of things to follow. Jack said that they had what they needed and that it was time to go. Annie didn't listen though and still worked. Jack knew there was helping her and so he followed. Jack made a list of things or details in a book to remember what it was like. Soon Annie also agreed it was time to go back when suddenly someone yelled "She's Back". Annie asked who and the patient said Clara Barton!
Clara Barton was a very brave nurse. One day in the battle she rode a horse-Drawn carriage with water to help the soldiers. She was well known as the Angel of the Battlefield.Clara asked if they would help her pick up some soldiers from the battlefield When they arrived they saw a confederate soldier wounded and Clara still picked him up and put him in the hospital. They also rescued a wounded drummer by the name of John. He was teenager just like them. He had heart Stroke .
When they were about to leave Clara came and added one more thing to their follow note. Never forget the ones who love you. When the kids returned home Jack asked if they had any family members in the Civil War. His father said it was his great ,great ,great Grandfather and his name was John. John was the one they rescued in the Mission! THE END
