The first period started with Social Studies and my teacher told us to get into a single file line along the lockers. We were headed into another classroom to watch the movie "Black Panther". Apparently, a lot of kids didn't see the movie in the first place and my teacher wants to point out the symbolism in the movie (what it is hinting at in the present day). I hated the fact that the room that we went to didn't have a curtain for their windows so the light was shining on the board while the projector was playing the movie. My classmates and I couldn't see a thing. Especially since the introduction of the movie took place in the night time. Anyway, afterward, I headed back to my homeroom and got ready for Lunch. But before that, we were going to have a "Community Circle". I hoped that my regular teacher would announce the Student of the Month but that wasn't the case.
Instead, we had a guest speaker who spoke in front of me and a bunch of other kids last year. I saw no point in this because it was the same presentation as last year as well. She just added a few more slides about the new "trend" that's been going on with teenagers called, "Juuling". Apparently, it looks like a USB drive and you supposed to smoke it. This has a lot of nicotine in it so most people won't even realize what they're putting inside their body. And because it isn't smoking a cigarette kids my age can buy it. Fortunately, at the deli-grocery store that I go to they don't have that type of stuff. Just a regular pack of cigarettes which I don't normally see people buying. The slideshow the woman made also talked about "vaping" and a very "vivid" image of "tar" being inside of healthy lungs to make them not so "healthy".
Once Community Circle was finished me and my friends headed outside to play some Volleyball. Some of the kids would play this before me and I always thought it was a dumb sport. But after a while, I decided that it was worth a try and turned out to be pretty fun. I scored about 5 goals before the recess ended and felt pretty satisfied. For Lunch, we weren't allowed to eat in the cafeteria because they were having a Science Fair there for all the projects. That's why I headed back to my classroom and ate there. Sooner or later Lunch had to finish and my Health teacher came in and was ready to continue reviewing for the quiz we were having. I don't take classes like Health, Dance, Physical Education, and Technology that seriously because if you fail them you can still pass on to the next grade, this also includes Spanish.
During Health we talked about Fiber, the best sources for fiber and why they are so important, Proteins, how many grams of Proteins you need, the reason why most people in America are dehydrated (me), fat, the best sources of fat, and much more. I kept on asking questions about milk and whatever slide we were on because I enjoy it very much. My teacher and classmates thought it was pretty funny and laughed whenever I talked about it. I asked questions like, "Does Milk have lot's of fat?" and "If I drink 6 cups of Milk a day will I have enough proteins?". Finally, before I finish this paragraph let me talk about this demo lesson. There was an adult that tried out to be a candidate for next year as a Health teacher and I thought she was really nice. She gave choices of meals from Big Macs to Salad (you should know which one I picked).
Just like in Health class my classmates laughed at my jokes. Let me explain, so when my teacher asked who picked Big Macs as their favorite food I was the only one (that got a lot of laughs). Then, my teacher asked which category would a Big Mac be in? Industrial (that's the actual answer), Industrial Organic, Local, and Hunter and Gathering. Everyone laughed when I said that Big Macs should be in the Hunting and Gathering section. This was my reasoning, "Imagine just walked through the woods when you come across a Big Mac on the floor?". Anyway, let me talk about the "news". The new Overwatch anniversery just came out yesterday and I am really excited about it. I was hoping that my father would let me play today because it came out but obviously he won't. Well, hope you enjoy all the new skins.
