The first period was Science and honestly, my class didn't do much. You see, my teacher handed everyone a paper that is filled with instructions for our "Science Fair". The idea isn't original at all and having a science fair is not what I'm talking about. It's the fact that they want us to create a device that can make an egg not crack from 2 feet above the ground, then if that works you have to drop it from 4 feet and then 6 feet. When I said non-original I meant that everyone has done it before, like it's nothing new. You're telling me you've never had to do a project involving an egg (papa you're excluded)? Anyway, the class spent most of the time just asking questions about the project. My teacher planned on giving us some time to pick a partner if you wanted and start brainstorming. Unfortunately, because I don't live close to my friend I have to work by myself.
It's not like I'm gonna work with someone I barely talk to because then it would be weird. During P.E my class walked to the gym and then waited for our teacher. An adult nearby came over to us and said we were being too loud and the kids next door were taking their PARCC. I tried to tell everyone to calm down but of course, they were too busy talking about drama and whatnot. Thankfully, once the teacher actually did come she took us outside to the field and we played "Soccer". It wasn't actually Soccer but more like drills. Since I thought this was pointless my teacher let me be a goalie. The other kids each had to get into two lines with their partners and wait for their turn. Basically, they needed to pass the ball to every three times and whoever got it at the 3rd pass would kick it into the goal.
That was where I came, now you can't expect me to block ever shot but I definitely did better than the previous person. Let me explain before I got to go my teacher picked another student who she thought would lie to be a goalie and not move as much. However, the plan backfired because the student actually wasn't trying to block the ball as well. Eventually, when it was me and my partner's turn to go we passed the ball to one another until he scored. Then, before leaving I kindly asked to be a goalie and she said it was fine as long as I moved way more. I'm pretty sure that I didn't disappoint her. Out of the 10 people that shot the ball to score I was able to stop 6 of them (approximately).
Now, this is going to be talking about what happened during Social Studies and Lunch. During Lunch one of the girls wouldn't go to detention because she didn't think she deserved it. Now because of this the rest of my classmates had to stay inside while got to be outside. I thought it wasn't fair that because of one student the whole class needs to be punished. It honestly really annoys me, now that doesn't mean she didn't have a good reason to think she shouldn't have detention. I wasn't paying attention when she and my teacher were yelling at each other but it didn't look good. However, she seemed to put up a convincing argument. Convincing enough that it's a possibility she's not wrong. What I'm saying is that although she may not be wrong the reason we were silently eating in the classroom is that of her.
During Social Studies we had a sub and I thought he was really cool. Apparently, the guy is also going to be our school's 8th-grade middle school teacher. I was pretty happy at first and so were most of the students. The only one was Hamzah because he thinks that Ms. Yuhas (current teacher) is great, the thing is she's only nice to him. Anyway, the principal of the school pulled me and the 6 other kids going on the field trip out the classroom to hand us our permission slips. I was so happy and asked her whether or not the bus was leaving at 7:30 and she said that the very most it would wait until 7:45 A.M for any late students participating on the field trip. I'm planning on either taking a taxi or walking, hoepfully taking a taxi. Anyway, that is it for today's post.
