Today was a half day so I'm pretty sure I can fit in all of the periods. During Homeroom I ate breakfast and then and then asked if I could be excused to go to the bathroom. My, teacher signed the bathroom pass and I left the room, only to come back 5 minutes later. Afterward, the first period started and for some reason, almost half of the class had just come. That meant that they wouldn't be able to eat the breakfast. Social Studies went by pretty fast but I thought it was boring at the same time. You see, the teacher was told by my classmates to give feedback for the 6 students that were chosen to represent the class in a debate. I didn't want to go because I just personally don't enjoy speaking in front of other people, but that didn't mean I did not want to hear my feedback. It just wasn't fair that out of all the students only the 6 who got picked would hear the teacher's comments.
Something that I thought was just sad is when my teacher said that one of the students who got picked had a voice crack while presenting in the first debate. Then, that kid goes ahead and says, "I never did that". Even though I myself heard his voice crack during the speech. His voice would go from high to low, and he even said that it was intentionally! He was like, "I did it to emphasize my point". Like no you didn't! And to think this kid was Hamzah really surprised me. Well, actually it didn't. Hamzah isn't exactly the nicest person even though he tries to act like it. In reality, I think that spot goes to either Daphne or Nabeel. Sure he's probably the smartest kid in the school but his nice behavior is just an act towards the teachers. The "scholar" actually is sometimes a bit mean towards "Mousa" (another kid in my class).
I remember yesterday it was the end of Technology and a few kids like me had Gifted and Talented instead of ELA. Well, Hamzah here wanted to go back into the classroom because he thought that we were already finished. So he kept on telling Ahmad who is basically his only friend (he talks to a lot) that they should go back to class. See, Ahmad didn't want to go because like me and the other groupmates we wanted to actually code the robot itself. However, Hamzah thought it wasn't necessary and kept saying "We're done Ahmad, Let's go!". Like he was acting like he was Ahmad's boss. I thought this really wasn't cool at all because friends shouldn't try and peer pressure others, which is exactly what Hamzah was doing. In the end, Hamzah got irritated and left which I had no problem with. I wouldn't want to be with someone that acts fake in front of the teachers (personality-wise).
Man, I still haven't talked about the rest of my day. I guess I'll skip to ELA since that was the only "amazing" part of today. The first thing my class did in ELA was our Classic Book Clubs. I conversed with Nabeel, Elisha, Daphne, and aA'Blessin on what we had so far. I already had done my reading and summarizing part. Just, had to shorten the work that Daphne did on Characters so that it would be much easier to read in the presentation. Finally, my teacher handed everyone their grades from the second literacy term test. I honestly thought I would get like a 70 or less because I only had a few minutes to study before the test actually happened. But I guess the luck was in my favor because I got away with a 92. And the funny thing was that I expected myself to get a 70 so much that when I got a 92% I thought it said 72%...

I just want to let anyone who's reading this know that Hamzah isn't "mean" to me at all because I don't like him myself. We haven't ever talked at all this year besides a "thank you" or "your welcome" every now and then. Anyway, today's story is going to be about the new assault rifle that came to Fortnite! For some reason, there wasn't any actual news story for this but technically it's still "new" so I can talk about it. I'm going to name this Youtube News because I found it on Youtube instead of Google. PC players have already gotten this update two days ago but Playstation Four and XBox One users are getting it today. Since I don't play Fortnite that much nowadays it's cool but the weapon doesn't seem necessary at all. Let me know what you think.
