Finally, it was time for the final battle to begin. Zia and Carter had just finished fighting the giant hippo and had barely an energy left. Setne was doing his best to be quiet but asked Carter if he could tell the “Driver” (Bloodstained-Blade, demon), to start heading to their next destination. However, while Carter was caring for Zia (who was half-unconscious because she used the power of Ra) he heard a knock on the door and assumed it was Setne. And since he was mad at Setne he left off a few curse words at what he thought was him. However, when Carter turned around he realized that it was “Bloodstained-blade”, and the demon looked like it was about to kill him. Thankfully for him, Zia left off a blinding flash of light that made the demon fall off the ship. And to Carter she looked perfectly fine while doing it.
Zia Rashid and Carter were now in the land of the demons since that was what Setne had told the demon to go to. By the time the two of them realized that Setne left the ship, the ghost magician was making his way up the shore (trying to escape with the Book of Thoth). Good thing he still had his ribbons on him, so with one word, “TAS”, Setne was once again tied up and Carter knew that he couldn’t move anymore. Together, they had a little picnic while watching Setne try to escape (they didn’t need to worry since he was tied up). Meanwhile, Walt and Sadie had just finished beating Neith in the game they were playing. The goddess showed them where Bes’s shadow was, and with Walt’s expertise enchanting they were able to make the shadow head back to it’s former body.
Unfortunately, Sadie knew that this was probably going to be Walt’s last spell. The kid fell down and was breathing hard. Sadie was crying even though she was prepared for this. Suddenly, Walt burst with energy and told Sadie the enchantment that was needed to capture Apophis and put the snake’s shadow in their handmade statue. Sadie was confused as to how Walt wasn’t dead and then realized that if she looked into the Duat, that Anubis was actually with Walt. Then, everything came in on her, Walt’s specialty of Death Magic, Anubis being the god of the death, Walt supposedly having to die today. Walt had chosen the Path of the Gods, and his god was Anubis! And because he was able to channel Anubis’s power, he could somehow continue living. Sadie didn’t know what to think because she really liked both Anubis and Walt but know that they were combined it was sort of weird.
