The Kane Chronicles is a book that I haven’t read for very long (one day), and in reality it’s only been for about a few chapters. But I can already sense how much this book will go to reach it’s full potential, and when I say that I mean how it will develop until the ending. The only problem is that I’ve read another book extremely similar to this called, “Tombquest”. It is also for one about Egyptian Mythology but not made by the same author (Rick Riordan). In this book the two children have amulets that grant them powers from different Egyptian Gods. In this book the father of the siblings (one and girl and boy, same as in Tombquest), gives the children two amulets to keep and at one point the boy is able to unleash it’s power.
Another reason why they are so similar is the fact that in both books, the children’s parents get taken away or disappear. And it’s up to them to save them. The only differences (so far) are that the children in “The Kane Chronicles” don’t know how to use their amulets powers as of yet, and they can somehow read Egyptian symbols like it’s nothing. Anyway, now I going to give you a summary of the book (The Kane Chronicles). So apparently, the two children have already been through everything and are retelling the story to us readers. They have a father that is a famed archeologist and he carries a workshop bad that always seems to be good luck whenever they are in a troublesome situation.
However, one today they enter a museum and Carter (one of the main characters along with Sadie) starts getting nervous because he knows the only reason his father would clutch his bag like that was if he got scared. And to think that his father, the most famed archeologist in all of the world getting scared was a bit worrisome. Inside they met the curator (owner) of the museum and the man led them toward the Rosetta stone. There, Carter’s father marveled at it and asked the curator if he could let him have a moment with the artifact by himself. Once the man left his father told Carter and Sadie to lock the curator in a room and then leave the museum. A few minutes later, the museum exploded and his father’s body was not found (I’ll give you more information next time).
