For this post I was thinking about doing a poem but then later decided that it's really not worth my time and I should just do something else like another 5 paragraphs on what I've been doing. So to begin let's finish talking about that movie that my past couple of posts have been about called, "The boy in the striped pajamas". Basically, the boy's mother finally has had enough and goes to the father and they have a huge fight about how the kids shouldn't be in this environment and the mother questions him to see if he will tel the government that she does not support what they are doing. T
he husband says that he a soldier and because of this he doesn't have control over what's happening. Otherwise everyone will go ahead and criticize him until eventually the government will personally deal with him. So the mother convinces him hat they need to move, but before going he asks the kids if they would like to move away from here. The sister is adamant and persistent in saying yes but Bruno says no as he doesn't want to be separated from his friend, "Shmuel". The father is confused because at the beginning Bruno was so mad that they were moving but yet now he wants to stay.
Either way, it wasn't like he wasn't going to listen to them anyway. The father started to explain that he didn't care what they thought and that he wasn't to move them to the nearby aunt's house somewhere in Berlin because it wasn't good for them as children to be in this area. He would have to stay here and take care of his business but sooner or later come and join them. Because of this Bruno made a sandwich and started to run to the concentration camps where he saw Shmuel just sitting there waiting for him. He gave Shmuel the sandwich and then Bruno gave away the bad news that he had to go. T
his saddened the little boy but then Shmuel asked whether or not Bruno would help find his father. Bruno decided that this was one thing he could do to make up for lying to Kotler about Shmuel. Shmuel grabbed some of the spare uniforms and then a cap so that Bruno could hide his hair. They entered the concentration camp and Bruno got hesitant at first because of how terrifying the place looked with all of the older men all dirty and the place just terrifying in general.
Shmuel made him feel bad though because he knew that Bruno had to make up for what he did and because of this they continued on. The first place that they went to was a camp that had a bunch of different men wearing uniforms. Suddenly, the soldiers started to come and tell everyone to move on to a different building and take off their clothes. It was such a sad scene because I knew this was where they would die because of the gas chamber. I didn't feel like typing after that scene.
