This post is going to be about how I got rejected from two high schools already. okay, so at the beginning of the year I remember everyone telling me, you kids need to realize that high school is right around the corner and if you feel like you want to leave this high school that we are building for something new then that is on you because its your choice. I am pretty sure that at least 80 percent of the kids who heard that anyone who is here in 8th grade has automatic access to the new school decided to stay and not try to get into a better high school. The teachers have been a bit too many things about how good the high school is and it's actually starting to piss me off.
My Math teacher said that for him he is going to the doing an Algebra 2 class in Beloved since he is going to be the leading Math teacher there and anyone who passes the Math end of year test that all students are supposed to take if you are in the advanced class gets automatic access to the Algebra 2 course in the school. I was pretty happy in hearing this because that means that if I don't make it anywhere else than this is a pretty good alternative for me. I will have connections with a ton of teachers who I have known for quite a while. But when I got rejected from the two leading schools that I applied for I almost started crying.
Now obviously I can still go to a different school if I get accepted into the other two schools but the chances of that are extremely low and I'm not even sure that I put the right zip code for them. I know now that my zip code is 07306 but I may have put 070736 for one of them and know that I think about it that number does seem super long. Anyways, if I made this mistake when applying to the high schools that I got rejected from then there doesn't seem to be a problem with this.
It would be really good if I got into County Prep or High Tech because those are the schools that I actually have classes that I want to study, this may seem really stupid but for County Prep I picked exercise science and for High Tech I am pretty sure that I picked something to do with Technology and my second class was culinary arts because why not?
The only real reason I applied for high schools is because of my dad, the fact that I have been in this school for about 5 years now and I can't deal with another 4, and for the main fact, which is that most of my friends are applying for high schools as well and I don't want to be that one person who just stays here while most of them have high goals and are working hard. I want to work just as hard or even more to achieve the things that I want to achieve.
