So yeah, I actually made the soccer team and believe me I am beyond surprised. I tried to ask the coach today how I got in but he said that when it's on his free time he would talk to me and a couple other kids who were wondering the same thing. One of my friends who didn't make it in wasn't exactly mad but he really wanted to know why he didn't make it and that he was disappointed. I felt super bad for him but he should've joined tryouts on the first day as well as the second day.
Anyway, it seems as though we are going to need shin guards and long socks to play as well, I can understand long socks because you don't want to hurt yourself on the rough turf and in soccer sliding on the ground with your knees on the bottom happens quite a bit and u don't want to burn your knees. I have sweatpants that are literally so bad because when u slide they burn your knees. It's kind of dumb that the only practice we have this week is on Thursday and that's still another 2 days but honestly I would've been even more bummed out if we didn't have practice in the first place.
Apparently there is going to be this meeting at the start before the practice on Thursday where he introduces some rules to us and we do some stuff but honesty I just want it to be over. I need to ask my father to buy me shinguards and long socks for practice because that is what I need for Soccer and if possible completely black shorts because that's something else that is mandatory. Well, it's not mandatory but I'd probably rather wear my own shorts that my dad bought for me than the ones that the school is going to give, and who knows if I got the wrong number size on my short pants.
For my shirt I put large because that is usually what my shirt size is but for the shorts I don't know. Of course the shorts should be able to stretch so maybe if it isn't my size I could still fit inside of it but in the end it's whatever. Hey papa, if your reading this right now tomorrow can we go to the Model Sporting Goods store in Journal Square so I can buy the stuff I need for soccer.
I also really need for my mom to make an appointment for me so I can get my physical done and play soccer because without the proper papers I won't even be able to play the games and that's the whole point. But every time I mention it she just yells at me and says she'll take care of it, which she said 2 days ago but still hasn't even called the doctor's office.
