Today is Friday the best day of the week for school. Fortunately even if its the best day in the week we don’t have school. You want to know why? Because of Thanksgiving! The one out of 2 holidays my family doesn’t celebrate. The other holiday is Easter. I mean what’s so special about Easter? I was supposed to write yesterday (Thanksgiving), but didn’t have enough time to. Another reason why is because I accidentally didn’t save the page and everything was deleted. Silly old me, I guess my mind didn’t pay attention. Anyway lets talk about everything i’ve been doing since Thanksgiving started.
Well for starters, yesterday in the morning, while my sister and I were doing our homework my dad called us into the living room. Primarily he was asking my sister to come, but I decided to join in. The reason he called us was because he wanted us to see the Thanksgiving parade in New York. Another celebration that was happening in New York was Macy’s 90th anniversary parade for Thanksgiving. They must have really wanted to “wow” their audience because the people who were watching or seeing it in person got to look at the Broadway musicals and performances by famous singers and bands.
For the parades my sister and I got to see Charlie Brown, Thomas, and many other giant balloons. Some of them were very old and from the first Thanksgiving parade ever made some time in the 1900s. Some other balloons were Felix the Cat and the red ranger from “ Power Rangers”. One of my favorite bands in the parade that I saw was called “Sting”. Mostly because they were the only band that I got to see play. The lead singer was in his 40s, but acting young and loud. They must have been pretty popular. I mean of course I’m the only one who doesn’t know who they are so I would think that.
After watching some of the parades me and my sister thought it would be a great idea to go to Lincoln park. Last reason why I couldn’t finish the previous post. The thing that made me so upset was that my dad didn’t want me to wear shorts and I had to find some long pants. The “ not wearing shorts “ thing was bothering me, but trying to find long pants was. I could only find one pair and it was already in the laundry. That mean that all the other laundry inside got their smells init too. Including my dad’s stinky underwear. You probably should get that image off your mind.
When my sister and I got to the park with my father she grabbed the ball while I got the water. Even though it would have been much more convenient if he put the water in his worn out book bag. Okay now that I say it, I kind of feel bad. Either way he could have held his own water bottle. At park we found a large patch of grass with two soccer field unused and decided to play with it. My sister was the kicker and I was the goalie. Since she was only 7 my father let her really close to the goal. Another nice thing I did was pretend to not catch the ball when she kicked it. While pretending my dad was laughing at me. Anyway have a nice day reading!
