May 31 diary 2017

This morning I woke up at around 6:30 A.M and would have slept even more if my sister hadn't woken me up. I opened my father's door to see if he was there and he was. After that my sister and I headed downstairs to change our clothes. I started getting sleepy again so I rested on the couch, but my sister finished changing her clothes. While I started changing my clothes she got some cereal for herself and started eating. When my dad came downstairs I told him that she didn't brush her teeth. He didn't get angry though. Which is totally not fair because when he saw me still trying to put my shirt on he was stern.

At school my first period was on Art. All I did in Art was continue painting the background of my picture. That way when I finished I could add all sorts of patterns and designs to it. After Art class I had Science. During Science my teacher gave us 5 minutes to study because we had a quiz today. I didn't even know so it must have been a pop quiz. Fortunately I got a hundred on the quiz along with my friends. The quiz was all about inheritance and your genes, what traits you get from your parents and how you appear with those genes. After the quiz I was able to copy the vocab words  on the newest chapter and write the definitions.

My next class after Science was ELA and for ELA we didn't do much. The first thing my class did was a Do Now and since I actually had pencils in my book bag I was able to finish mine. Then one of my teachers pulled me over so that I could do some type of reading test.  I only mis-pronounced one word.  When my reading test was over I went back to the class to see that I missed a few notes, because of that I tried to copy as much notes as I could. By the time my teacher moved on to the next page of notes I was able to copy at least half of them. Then my teacher said that we were supposed to do independent reading for the rest of the period.

During Math class my teacher said that she was going to let us study and work with partners because there was nothing else to review for, she said it was our choice wether or not we wanted to pass the EOY (End of Year). So for the study hall me and my friends made a competition and one of us would put a problem on the board while the others would try and solve it. However that quickly moved into another group because they all left.  Since they all left I worked with someone else on the math problems. It was really fun, but I guess that wasn't good because something bad happened after study hall was finished.

Apparently someone poked holes on my teacher's board eraser. She started to get mad and had a whole lecture about how you shouldn't touch things that aren't yours without permission and to be more respectful. While she was lecturing the teacher for my next class came in and was pretty disappointed because she planned on watching a movie with us, now we couldn't watch it anymore. After my math teacher was finished she made a whole other speech about responsibility. And to make matters worse, when the class ended my assistant teacher came in and was really mad that someone took two of her purple sharpies. It was a pretty bad day at the end.

May 29th 2017 diary

For today's post I am going to write about what I did so far today. Today I woke up at around 6:45 A.M. I heard my mom talking to my sister downstairs so I went down the stairs. When I got into the kitchen my mom was just about to make breakfast and my sister was next to her. I took this opportunity to brush my teeth. Then when my mom finished making breakfast I got milk for me and my sister to drink. For today's breakfast we had egg and bread which is what I usually eat on the weekends. Since today is memorial day I don't have school. After finishing my breakfast my mom left the house for her job.

A few minutes after she left, me and my sister watched some TV. Then she went on my laptop and watched youtube. I didn't get on my Playstation because it was only 9:00 A.M and that was a bit too early for me to get on Overwatch. So I just continued watching TV until 9:30 A.M. Then me and my sister went into the room at the back of our house which we called the "Playroom" and started our homework there. My sister had to read two chapters on the book she was reading while I had to read and type five paragraphs. I get that she is a lot younger than me, but come on!

The both of us finished our reading in the next 60 minutes, but after that my sister went straight to my laptop and started watching youtube again. Something about applying lipstick, when she's only 8. Its crazy right? I know some girls do what she's doing and if your doing it at that age then your crazy. I wouldn't be crazy if you were 11 or even 10, but 8? Yeah, no. Since it was Memorial Day I decided to not do my homework, my father told me a year ago that whenever its a holiday I don't have to do homework. I thought that because I already read 5 chapters I wouldn't need to write on my laptop. Besides that my sister is also using my laptop.

Thats why I just went back to the living room to watch TV. When my dad came home he asked me if I did my homework and I said yes. Apparently he didn't believe me, but my sister told him that I did do it. However he still wanted some more proof so I had to show him the pages I read. Then he wanted to know what I read yesterday to make sure I didn't just lie and tel my sister to help me. I reminded him that yesterday I didn't read the book because he said I only had to write. Thats why all I had o do today was write. I never told him about the Memorial Day thing.

While I was writing my dad went on his computer and got on Facebook. My sister apparently did her homework so she just watched my dad. After a few minutes my dad was watching a video on Facebook about how people from the army came back home to their families. It was actually pretty sad and funny too. The reason it was funny was because there were two clips where dogs would see them come home and just run onto them. Another video that my dad watched was about Steve Harvey hosting a show called "Little Big Shots". It was so cool because this one girl had an amazing memory.

PassPort Photos...

Yesterday I woke up at around 6:00 A.M, but went back to sleep because I was really tired from the day before, at Newport Mall. This is because me, my aunt, and sister came back at around 10:30 P.M. Usually I sleep at 9:00 P.M which I think is too early for me to go to bed. Let me know wether or not you think 9:00 P.M is the exceptional time for someone to go to sleep. Then at 8:00 A.M I woke up again to the shining light from outside. I heard my father tell my sister to wake me up and come back down so I pretended to be asleep. It was only after a few minutes that I got up and went downstairs to the kitchen.

When I got to the kitchen the first thing I did was see what breakfast my dad was making. He was just getting ready to make waffles when I asked him if we could have egg and croissant. This was because egg was really easy to make and we had croissant on the kitchen table. My sister was a bit shocked that my dad listened to me and not her so she started getting angry. However my dad shushed her and started making eggs. While he did that I brushed my teeth and did my hair. My hair changes every morning so I had to make the best of it.

Then I changed my clothes and started my homework. I wanted to have as much relaxation time as possible. The good thing was that I was able to finish at least one chapter before my dad called me to eat breakfast. The breakfast was really tasty, especially with milk so I was happy. While I was eating it my sister gave me the look that she didn't like the croissant. She's so picky, thats why my dad gave her regular square shaped bread that she would actually eat. After the breakfast I was able to finish my homework. Then my dad said he was going to take my sister, him, and me to take picture for a passport.

I honestly didn't want to go, but since I couldn't say no I just went along. We got out of the house from the back door and started walking to journal square. While we did that my dad said he wasn't sure that the Shop Rite we were going to took pictures for a passport. Thats when I suggested that we go to the Rite Aid down the block. I didn't know wether or not they even took regular photos, but it was worth a try. Fortunately, once we got there we saw a man that said he would take our picture. While we were there my sister and I got a snack to eat. She got "Nutella" and breadsticks while I got a honey bun.

When we got back to the house my dad said that me and my sister could do whatever we want. Thats why I went to the living room and started my Playstation Four. It automatically went to the account I last used and I started Overwatch. Since this is the first time in a while that I played Overwatch I haven't started the Overwatch anniversary event. So when the game finished updating I immediately went into the arcade mode to get loot boxes (gives free skins, highlight intros, emotes, and sprays). The thing that made my day was that I got my golden gun. This thing takes so long to get so I was super happy when I got it!

May 27 2017 diary

For today's post I want to write about what I did at Newport Mall yesterday. You see, after I came back home from my half day my dad wasn't home yet. However my aunt and sister were. While I was eating some bread she got from a store she asked if we wanted to go to Newport Mall. My sister wanted to go, but was afraid my dad would say no. Fortunately for her my dad said she could go. Only after she finished her homework, I just decided to get on my Playstation Four. However when I started it up, it didn't work. Thats why I just went to Newport Mall with them.

The first thing that we did once we got outside was go to the bus stop. This was because my aunt doesn't have a number of people she can call (taxi) to go to Newport Mall like my mom does. That bus took the three of us to a bus station. There we got on another bus to the mall. Once we arrived at the mall my aunt took us to this little area where they sell fidget spinners. At the store there were these regular fidget spinners with cool decorations, then there was a fidget spinner that felt really light, but span for a long time. It was so cool that the woman let me test the spinners. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any of these.

After testing out a few more fidget spinners the three of us went upstairs to the food court and AMC theater. My aunt wanted us to watch a movie, that was the sole purpose of going to the mall (to have fun and spend time together). She said that since I barely ever go outside with her and my sister did, it was good to spend some time together. The movie that I watched was called, " Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Long Haul". I bet you that when you see the movie your going to love it. At first I didn't even want to watch that movie. I originally wanted to watch "Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2", but since I would have to wait a few hours longer this movie was better.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Right now I want to talk about the new event for "Overwatch". The anniversary event for "Overwatch's" first year out. I really do love the game and think its really cool that "Blizzard" actually made an event for it. In my opinion most of the skins are so cool. I really do love them. Here are some of the new skins that have come out. On the left side is Tracer. Overwatch's lead character, the first one that was introduced. She looks really cool with the graffiti type of look and mask. The one next to her is Zarya and boy is she something. That skin makes her look really alien like. The third one is Symmetra and she looks like a Queen from this angle. The skin really fits her style and is one of the only skins that actually makes sense. The last one is Soldier: 76 and his skin makes ice look really robotic. Something of a robot and a soldier.

Besides all of the new skins that have come out for the characters there is also the loot box. To be honest the loot box isn't really that cool. I think this because whenever you open the loot box the whole background is white. This may not make sense to you, but the loot box is black. However something else that has been added to Overwatch because of the event are dance emotes. Thats right, every character the game gets a dance! Most of them don't really fit the character, but are funny. Anyway thats all for today guys, see you later!

Memorial Day!!!!!!

Today was another half a day for my school, right now it is Friday. I think the reason they made it a half day is because on Monday there is no school, since it is Memorial Day. So thats a plus, we have a whole other day of no school. The thing is, my school is charter school (I don't know if that makes a difference), but because of that my school days last longer. While the public schools I went to before I came to this school ended at 2:30 P.M this school ends at 4:00 P.M. Thats crazy isn't it. When I first came here while it was the summer to check the school out the teacher told my dad that the school days were longer. I tried to not let that bug me because it was a new school. Now it does.

Okay now lets get started with my day, when I got up it was already 6:21 A.M and sister had to get to the bus stop for school at 7:15 A.M. Thats why I got straight up and changed my clothes. When I finished changing I called my sister and she came down. Then while she was changing her clothes I had already brushed my teeth and eaten breakfast. After giving her breakfast the both of went to the living room and watched TV until 7:10 A.M. The both of us put on our socks and shoes in order to go outside. It was raining, but not a lot so I didn't take an umbrella (just put on my sweater hoodie).

After I came back from taking her to the bus stop I waited until 8:00 A.M to go to mine. When I got on the bus I sat in the back because the bus driver wants the girls to sit in the front. He doesn't want us sitting together for some reason. One of the girls got in trouble because she got into a fight with another girl. The bus driver ended the fighting and then told the two girls to separate themselves. That way they wouldn't get in trouble. However like always they are enemies one day and friends the next. Its really confusing, because today the both of them sat together again and were on their phones.

The truth was, I forgot that it was a half day so when my friends told me in my class I was shocked. My first period was Science so we stayed in the class. We were to finish our outlines and then go to a page in our textbook. When we got to the page there were a set of 7 questions that needed to be answered before the class ended. For some reason the class ended with our teacher talking about flamingos and how they changed color whenever they ate something other then their color. Fun Fact: The reason flamingos are usually pink is because they eat lots of red berries in their area.

After Science I had Social Studies. There isn't really much to say except for the fact that we took a test on world religions. The whole test was multiple choice and there were 20 questions. I got a 90 in it and aced the Buddhism part of it (because its my religion). The next period was P.E and while walking to the gym one of the kids from the other class told me that they did volleyball. Turns out the person from the other class was correct and I had a lot of fun. I scored 3 times that game. It was really fun, the good thing is that I wasn't sweating because the next class was Math.

During Math all my class did was review for the EOY (End of Term). There were posters all over the classroom and every kid had to answer the questions on the posters. I was able to finish all the questions in 15 minutes time and had 25 minutes left, because of that me and my friend who also finished worked on the math homework due Tuesday because Memorial day was on Monday (no school). I was able to finish the homework and organize myself before the class ended. When I back to my homeroom the things we did were eat lunch, watch a movie while doing it, and pack up for dismissal. Anyway it turned out to be a great day, see you later!

May 21st 2017 diary

For today's post I just want to talk about what I've been doing lately. Yesterday after I finished my blog post my mom told me that she and my dad had to go somewhere to pick up a free heater one of her friends gave her. I don't know why we need a heater, especially in the burning heat of summer  It seems a bit stupid. For lunch I had pasta that my dad heated up from the day before. Suddenly my sister brought in a fidget spinner that my aunt bought for me, while everyone was cleaning up the table. Fortunately my dad didn't get mad so it was okay. While I was cleaning the dishes my dad told my sister that she had to come with them. He said that I should stay at the house alone.

Before the three of them left I asked my mom how long it would take to get the heater and come back, she told me about 30 minutes. Then I added another half an hour because I knew with my mom sometimes things could go really late. After they got in the car and left I went to the living room and turned on my Playstation Four so that I could use it. Once I got on it I took out my charged controller and plugged my headset into it so I wouldn't make loud noise all around me (don't want the neighbors to complain). The first thing I did once I logged into my account is get on Overwatch (PC and Xbox One/PS4 game). Then I started "Competitive".

Competitive is a mode in Overwatch that is to be taken very seriously, or at least I do. If you live the "Competitive" game you will get suspended, have a penalty, or banned for the entire season (that only happens if you leave too many times). Remember when I talked about skill rating yesterday? Well, that is related to "Competitive". If you lose the game you drop in SR (Skill Rating). If you win you get SR. It sounds pretty easy, but is actually really difficult to fully comprehend. The creators of "Overwatch" have created a very complex math equation that shows wether or not you lose or win more SR every time.

Anyway now I want to talk about the book I continued reading today, "TombQuest, The Final Kingdom". Today I read another 5 chapters and I want write about what the chapters were talking about. You should already know that this book is kind of solely on Egypt because of yesterday so I just wanted to give you a heads up. Okay here it goes! Luke, Alex, and Ren have entered the afterlife and now need to grab the Lost Spells and get out of the place. While they are thinking about ways to do that a large black scorpion comes right behind Ren. "Ren, look out!" Alex screams, as the large scorpion is ready to jab Ray with its stinger.

Ren quickly dodges and starts running along with Luke and Alex. "Wait a minute if there is a scorpion does that mean that the Stung Man (evil Death Walker Alex banished to the afterlife) is near?" asked Alex. Ren replied, "Hopefully not, or else we are in big trouble. Maybe its just a regular scorpion (the Stung Man always has scorpions near him)?". Before Ren could say anything else the Stung Man came out of nowhere and started chasing them.  We have to run before he captures us. While they do that Alex, Ren, and Luke find the building that holds the Lost spells and were able to retrieve them. Unfortunately while they walk back to the portal that had taken them to the afterlife a large amount of Death Walkers chase them, will they survive and escape?

TombQuest Book 5!

For today's post I am going to be typing about what I did today so far. Just so you know right now it is 9:29 A.M for me. Thats means I am going to have to write lots of details about certain things, more than I usually do. Anyway I woke up at 6:49 A.M and went to my dad's room. There he was on his phone with my sister. The two of them were probably watching some videos on Facebook or something. Thats when I decided to go downstairs to the kitchen.

When I got to the kitchen there were some school supplies on the table. I guess my aunt must've gotten them while she was outside yesterday. I never even asked her for them, but now that I think about it this is really useful  because I am running out pencils to use at my school. The school supplies were mechanical pencils, ball point pens, and a notebook. I don't really need the notebook so if my sister wants it she can have it.

After looking at all the school supplies one more time I headed straight for the bathroom to brush my teeth. The toothpaste I use is Colgate and it is really good. It took my 2 minutes to brush my teeth and when I finished I brushed my hair. When that was over I headed back upstairs so that my father knows that I brushed my teeth already. However he just told me to take a shower. Knowing that I can't disobey my father intentionally I just went back downstairs to the bathroom and got ready for the shower. Before I even started it though the water was so cold so I had to wait 30 seconds for it to heat up.

When I finished it I brushed my hair while it was wet so that when it tried it would stay that way. I don't really know if my plan is full proof, but at least it works most of the time. As I changed my clothes my sister and father came down and started to make breakfast. Since i was already finished and waiting for the breakfast I started a book called "TombQuest". It is about the world's most powerful Egyptian spells being in the hands of world's most dangerous organization called "The Order". The Order uses this power to make an evil legion of squires.

Besides making an evil undead arm of mummies and stone warriors they also break the borders between the world of the living and the world of the dead. Alex and Res (the two main characters) must find a way to stop this organization and their army before its too late and the world they know is gone forever, but as the gate between the living and the dead fall  Alex and Red have no choice, but to enter the land of the dead if they want a chance at saving their world as they know it.

My Ranking

For today's post I just want to write about what I did yesterday and today. I know its not about a book, but right now I told my dad that I would type 10 paragraphs instead of 5 in exchange for no reading. This is because I want to finish my homework as fast as I can. Then I will be able to get on my ps4 and reach platinum. I know you probably don't know what I'm talking about so I will explain. You see my favorite game on my Playstation 4 is "Overwatch". Right now I am at 1800 for my skill rating. That places me in gold. If I really win a lot of the games that I play I can maybe get to platinum which is 2500.

Anyway now lets start with my day yesterday. Yesterday was Wednesday and it was also a half day. Since it was a half day I would get home at 1:00 P.M instead of the usual 4:50 P.M. This is really great news because I have more time to finish my homework and relax. Besides that I had to go and return some books to the library. When I was done with that I could go watch some TV and eat ice cream. So at the start of the day the first period I had was Drama. During drama we rehearsed our parts in the play so we could get ready for the show when it starts.

While I was sitting at the table waiting for my turn to practice suddenly all of the girls started arguing. They were all so mad at each other for no apparent reason. This is one of the reasons why I hate my class so much.  While they were all arguing two teachers from 2nd or 3rd grade came in the room and saw how the girls were acting. And in case you didn't already know, they were all sent to the dean. All of the trouble and arguing led to me not being able to practice my part. The truth is though, I don't really want to practice my part because it involves getting my clothes dirty and me screaming with everyone else with the same part.

After Drama my next class was Science and for Science the only thing we did was take a test. It was based on Plant life which by the way was our topic. I finished the test in the first 20 minutes and while I was waiting I asked my teacher if I could get my Social Studies textbook and read it. This is because the textbook it filled with all sorts of cool tales and stories that are really fun. After another ten minutes my teacher was collecting the tests of those that already finished. At the end of class the grade I got was what I expected. However I wasn't sad, nor happy either.

My next class ELA and for ELA we had to start the class with a do now. Unfortunately we weren't able to read our do nows to our partners because our class was so bad. I really hate them sometimes, because of the girls we aren't bale to work in groups. The only good thing that comes out of this is that everyday form on on. They all get an email sent home to their parents about their day and how they did. After the do now we headed straight to the book called "I am Malala". It is a really good book and the woman who is talked about is still alive to this day. She fights for the right for all kids to get an education and woman to be treated equally.

When ELA was over (and boy did that take a long time) my class had Math. For Math we had another test that was going to be taken on the computer. This  assessment is worth a large sum of points. This was also practice for the end of year test that we have coming up. I really hope that I do good on this test because it is really important for me. If I do good I can raise my grade by a lot of points. So when I finished the assessment my final grade was an 86. I really didn't like my grade because I felt like I really tried. Literally I made the silliest mistakes. That should be partial credit.

One more thing that was really exciting for me yesterday was that my dad let me keep his laptop. Now that I actually have some type of electronic device that I can own I wanted to do something cool. That is why I got a picture from the internet and then made it into my wallpaper. This is based on the "Overwatch" character Lucio. He is a DJ who uses his music to speed and heal his allies.

Today during gym we were playing this game with the paddles where we had to grab a ball with the paddles and hit the person below their waist. If we hit them they were out and had to sit on the floor. However each time had two doctors so if you were out they get you back in the game by tapping on you. The thing is though, if a doctor is it below the waist he is out for the entire game. The other doctor can't get him back in. This game is really competitive and the first time we played it I was already sweating like crazy. Thats how fun it was.

Another thing that got me really excited was that my aunt got me and my sister fidget spinners. My sister and me were really excited, but wanted to wait until we finished our homework so we wouldn't get in trouble in case we opened them during lunch. After homework I rushed to get the fidget spinners and brung them to the room where my dad and sister were. Then the both of us opened the boxes and were really happy. One of them had the American Flag on it. Another one was made to look like a one dollar bill. The last one was just a regular green one, but I liked it the most because it span the longest.

After opening all the spinners I just had to see what each spinner's longest time was (how long it could spin). The longest out of the three was the regular green one, you should never underestimate the power of a regular looking spinner because the regular ones usually spin the longest. That wasn't actually a complete surprise to me. For the rest of the day I just watched youtube. On youtube I was watching a video about "Overwatch" and the craziest play of the games. Thats all.

P.S. Longer Letter Later

Yesterday I started reading a book called "P.S. Longer Letter Later". It is a novel that is based on letters. The people in the letters are Paula Danziger and Ann M. Martin. I am going to give a summary about the whole book because I was able to finish it yesterday. Before I get started I want to say that during this post I won't be talking about anything else except for the book because yesterday all I did was stay home and watch TV with my sister after my homework. The movie we watched on the TV was called "Wolves". It is about how a kid finds out that he comes from a long line of werewolves and must protect the people he loves with his "werewolf" form. However I don't want to get too far from the main reason I'm writing so lets start.

P.S. Longer Letter Later is book about two friends who were separated from one another because one of the parents wanted to move to a new place. That means that the only way they can communicate is through letters. The names of the two kids are Elizabeth and TaraStarr. While they are separated Elizabeth's family starts doing bad while TaraStarr's family is getting better. The girls write to each other about stuff they won't even tell their parents and are the best of friends. The show each other that they can depend on one another. It really is something worth reading. Now that they are older they combine their stories and letters to turn it into a book.

Well here goes nothing, the book starts off with Elizabeth writing a letter asking TaraStarr why she left. She seems to get all mad, but then says she's kidding. Its the beginning of seventh grade for both of these girls and they want to know all about how they each are doing.  After that Elizabeth just starts gossiping about stuff around the school she's in (and the one TaraStarr used to go to) like how one of the kids puked in the water fountain and how one of the teachers grew a mustache and it looks nice. Besides that she ends the letter saying that her sister (Emma) started PreSchool and hated it because she said she learned everything on "Sesame Street".

After this the whole story starts off in a good note and then goes to a bad note. Then it goes back to a good one later on, typical order of events of a book. After this letter TaraStarr's parents start to get better from their financial interests and Elizabeth's parents's financial interest starts to get a lot worse. Mostly because her father lost his jobbed all he has during this time is a bit of money for being fired. TaraStarr then starts talking about her school dramas while Elizabeth mostly talks about how bad things are going for her family. Her father starts to a bit drunk and seemingly sad. The same thing goes for her mother, except without the drunk part.

Then TaraStarr starts wishing Elizabeth the best of luck. She only says this because Elizabeth mentioned that during Christmas her father bought her a diamond necklace and her mother emerald jewelry. After wondering how he had the money to afford this she realized that he took a large sum of money from the bank to pay for all of this, way more than he could pay back. Apparently the father wants everyone to think that his family is doing well so with the little money they have he uses it to make them look happy and good. The good part is that later on Elizabeth's family sells their house and some of the stuff in it. Then with the money they buy an apartment and pay off the stuff they owe to the banks and companies.

With this ending everyone is happy. Elizabeth helps start a poetry club in her school because it is her passion and TaraStarr performs in a play and does really well. Right before the book ends it talks about how TaraStarr's family has been doing so good that they can afford for Elizabeth to come and visit them. This makes the both of them really happy. Especially since Elizabeth lives in Florida and that is however near TaraStarr. The tow of them can't wait to meet each other and talk about everything between them. This really shows that when you have someone by your side that you can trust the both of you will always have each other's back.

There seems to be lots of different versions of this, but here is the one that I read. I remember that in the book one of the two girls said the title when writing their letter.

Finally!

Remeber when I told you that I was reading this book called "I Will Always Write Back". I really did like this book and would give it a 5 star rating if I could. Anyway I am going to give a summary about the whole book (a few sentences). Basically this book starts off in the classroom of an American school in Pennyslyvania. One of the main characters is called, "Caitlan" and she is given an assignment by her teacher in which she has to write a letter to a random kid in some country other than America and become pen pals with them. However Caitlan doesn't realize that this assignment will change her whole life for the better. On the other side oft the world is a kid named Martin who will recieve this letter for being the best in his class.

I know that it doesn't seem like a good summary, but if you actuallly read the whole book you will understand. Now I am going to talk about what I did yesterday (Friday). Yesterdya was the day we finished the last PARCC test. I've been waiting so long for this. I thought that working on a computer would be fun, but its actually a lot worse. I'm not going to say why because I don't want to talk about the PARCC, its over. I want to forget about those long hours just waiting for the test to finish and not being able to do anything while waiting. Also do you remember the "terra nova" and what it used to be like. Its just like the test but for the younger grades, I know because I took it when I was little.

Besides the test I also did a lot of other stuff during school. At the beginning of school I had Science in which we watched a movie called, "Plant Life". I really liked that movie a lot. Actually now that I think about it. Its more of a documentary and has a time lapse of all types of plants and how they grow and reproduce. Its pretty cool and I consider all teachers who want their students to see this watch it. After Science I had Social Studies where my class was copying down some notes on China's old history. Such as all of thier dynasties and whatnot. It am actually really intrigued in these stories.

During lunch time we had pizza, but I already told you that my school's pizza is horrible so you should know I didn't ahve it. Although I did have milk and one of friends gave me an oreo. For recess I played soccer and one of the kids accidently kicked it onto onto the roof of the school. When he did this everyone playing cornered him and start pushing him into the corner. Everyone calles this corner the rape corner because when someone has the ball and is in the corner everyone pushes themselves into him. It is so funny. The thing is though, that happened to me a lot of times. The only way I was able to get out of it was grab the ball and throw it.

The last period I had before dismissal was Gym. However since the Gym teacher knows about how we finished the tests he let us go outside to the field and play with the football and soccer balls. I played soccer and it was really fun. We all tried to kick it into the goal and it was so epic. I did pretty good I have to say. Although I missed all my shots. I stole the ball a lot and passed it to my teamates. When we went back to teh calssrooms everyone in mny calss was using their fidget spinners nad seeing which one lasted the most. I won like 3 times in a row and everyone was a bit angry, but before they chased me my bus was called so I left.

I Will Always Write Back

For today's post I want to talk about this book I'm reading called, "I Will Always Write Back". When I first saw the book I really doubted that I would like it because when I scanned through it there were no pictures. I still felt this way when I read the first chapter, but as the story progressed I started find myself being more and more intrigued in it. This book basically talks about the lives of two kids who wrote letters back and forth to each other from opposite sides of the world. The two main characters were Caitlan Alifirenka and Martin Ganda. Now I am going to write about how this story starts and what continues the story.

Before I start writing I found and image that supposedly shows Martin and Caitlan in real life. I don't know wether these are the actually people, but just by looking at the picture I can imagine the two being them. "I Will Always Write Back" is a very emotional story about two kids who grow up writing letters to each other from halfway across the world. It is an amazing story that really shows how different and similar the two are. It all started with a school assignment that Caitlan was given by her teacher. She was told to pick any place around the world and write a letter to an unknown pen pal. This start changed the lives of two people for the better.

Caitlan

An ordinary American girl was sitting in seat as she raised her hand. On the board in front of her there was a list of countries that she had never heard of. She was told to pick one and write a letter to an unknown pen pal. Then after a few weeks she would recieve another letter written back to her. Out of all the names on the board she picked one that was called "Zimbabwe". At that moment she didn't know it, but her decision would change her entire life. The name Zimbabwe sounded exotic, because of that she asked her teacher where it was. Mrs. Miller (teacher) said that it was in Africa. Before this Caitlan didn't really know much about Africa. Sure she saw videos and such but that was about it.

Martin

The teacher entered the class saying that he had pen pal letters from America, these letters were only fr the top students in the class (including Martin). For all Martin and his classmates knew, America was the land of Coco Cola and Wrestling. Everyone in Zimbabwe knew about wrestling and it was very rare to get just a poster or picture of Hulk Hogan. For Martin he wasn't living the greatest life. Sure there were always troubles based on money and food, but in the end his family always got through. Martin was the number one in his class for most of his school years. Only once was he second place and was surprised and happy for the kid in first.

However when he got home his mother heard the news and was very angry. She was overwhelmed by the fact that her son had not gotten first place in this class. She had a serious talk with Martin about school and how if he didn't do perfect he would not get into a university and would have to stay in Zimbabwe barely living off food and hard work. Once he got into a university and graduated he would be able to do whatever he wanted, she said. Martin knew his mother wasn't trying to be mean. She just wanted him to be happy in life and not  have to drop out of school like her. That night Martin started working on a reply for Caitlan..........
