People look at me like I’m some sort of criminal, some sort of scum that should watch where he’s going. That is until they realize I’m a gold medalist who won the 1936 Berlin Olympics with 4 medals, all of them gold. Then, they start wanting to take pictures with me and hug me since I’m so famous. But I know what they really are, and under that mask of happiness and emotion is a soul that hates Black People because their Black. I can’t do that no more, I live and breath the same air as you.

I walk the same way as you, I can eat and run the same way as you, but most importantly. I am biologically the same as you. So by looking at the color of my skin you think you can just harass me or make me feel like I’m not worth anything. If you thought that you were wrong, I was born a natural runner, and I have 3 kids and a lovely wife at home who I love dearly. So ain’t no one gonna tell me I shouldn’t be treated the same way as all of you.

This is the monologue that I wrote and read at my presentation yesterday for my Black History Month project. I had about 8 people come to my presentation and talk to me about my person and all fo them wanted me to read my monologue even though I was just saving it for my teacher to come. Apparently, because there was just too much chaos she started videotaping all of the classrooms and I hope she got me when I did it.

She also said that if you didn't get into the video that she recorded there was still a chance that a teacher came up to you and you presented it to them, and then if that was the case than you were fine because the must've told her. But for that wasn't the case, not a single teacher came over to my presentation but 8 kids did. One kid named, "MKai or "M'Kai" was really chill and nice. I talked to him about my guy and then he asked if I wanted to read it. I told him that I did and he said these exact words, "That's cool, I know how hard it is to present, but you did good (2xs)".

Jesse Owens attended the Olympics in Berlin representing the U.S team. He at the same time was starting a family and dealing with segregation from both Germany and America. This took place in the 1936 olympics and the olympics was recorded for the first time on this day. This was Jesse Owens peak and in this he won 4 gold medals becoming an all around world star.

here are some facts about Jesse Owens so you can get a glimpse of some of the research that I did.

Every single day my dad is yelling and it honestly pisses me off. Every single day do I say anything? No! Because I know that he will just get even more mad at me. Just today, he took my phone because I wasn't finished eating my food and it apparently made him mad. I was literally just about to finish it, I had a half a dumpling left to finish and he just had to get super mad at me for no reason. What difference did it make that he took my phone.

Now he knows that I am and at him and if he doesn't he's dumb because he should. It's not my goddamn fault as to why he has blood pressure. So why is he hating me, He decided to come to America knowing that he won't get a good job and he will struggle. But he did and now 20 years later he's putting all his anger on his wife and two kids because he can't pay the bill and he has high blood pressure. Like, don't blame it on me and your kids. You need to learn how to control it but if you can't even do that then you shouldn't have had kids in the first place.

He threw away my playstation because I spent 4 minutes past 10:00 P.M. You think that's going to make a better bond between you and your child? Well guess what? IT'S NOT! That was a waste of 456 dollars, you could've sold that Playstation for 300 at the very least and not complain about the next rent he has to pay. He goes into the JCPenny store and we get into a disagreement because he doesn't like the color of jeans that I want. Then he talks to me about style and says stuff like how black is the new trend and everyone is wearing black, no one is wearing blue.

If I showed him all the reasons as to why blue denim is still extremely popular he would just brush it off and call me stupid, or say "stop" in a way that makes me want punch him. Then, when I decide to just try the jeans on that he gave me because I don't want to continue pointless argument he goes into the fitting room with me and gets mad at an old woman because she told him that he wasn't supposed to be in the room. He should've been waiting outside and talking to me from there.

He then pulls out the reason that there was no one to tell him he wasn't supposed to be there and the lady apologizes and kindly asks him to move a little bit back, but my dad hates being wrong and starts yelling at her pulling out reasons that literally don't make any sense at all, I'm not even going to go into those. He and my mom both cause a scene almost everywhere we go because they just somehow always start an argument and have literally no sense that they are in a public place.

So I have been watching a bunch of videos on Youtube nowadays about Japan and the channel is called, "Vice Asia". It's really just exploring the things that differentiate asian countries with other countries and the western society. I really like it because it really goes into depth about things like this and I personally enjoy it. The latest videos that I have been watching are about Japan and about how Japan has some were stuff about it that a lot of people may not know it goes pretty in depth. It also talked about how South Korean people really get influenced from k-pop and just stuff like dramas.

Most people in Japan and Korea really don't marry, almost 50% of men and women don't marry when they are still in their 30's and 20's. This is because Japan did the thing where their population was growing so fast that they had to sterilize people so that they could no longer have a huge amount of kids like 4 or 5.

This started what was known as a huge population decline and many people hated this so much. Now the Japanese government is fearing extinction in 2075 or 2275 ('m not sure what), but either way both numbers are extremely close. However, I may only live to witness one, and of course analysis could always be wrong so that is another thought.

But back to the day that I was originally going to write about, so today my ELA teacher said that tomorrow we are going to be presenting our presentations to the class and we have to sort of write everything on an index card and remember it so that we can speak it in front of other people. I definitely do not feel comfortable doing this just because I am not known for my emory, dancing is really just instinct after continuing to do the same thing over again so I can get it.

However, this is using my brain and I don't have that. I already wrote the monologue that I am supposed to read and it is about 1 minute, but that doesn't make me feel any better. Tomorrow I have to wear something that will some sort represent the person that I am pretending to be for my presentation. The person that I am doing is called, "Jesse Owens" and he is known for his running and was sponsored by Adidas so I am going to be wearing a bunch of clothes that are Adidas like the shirt, sweatpants, and windbreaker that I have.

Today I was practicing the dance that I had and I think that I was doing some pretty good work, just kidding I id awful but that was because it was my first day practicing. The group that I'm in are practicing for the dance and the concert is in two months so we have a decent amount of time to practice. I might literally not play my game on the week days anymore just because I need to practice this dance and I don't wanna let me team down. Besides my bedtime Is always 8:30 p.m anyway so it's not like I get a lot of time to play my game, before I know it 1 hour will go back in a flash.

Meanwhile when practicing for a dance it will probably be different because it'll be hard for me and I'm definitely enjoying myself. Meanwhile, I'm debating whether I should even dance because my stomach is quite bloated today and I don't exactly feel the best in my stomach right now, actually I feel like maybe that's the whole point. Anyways, today wasn't a dress down but that's actually good because I wanted to wear the P.E uniform today anyway. I literally don't have any jeans that I want and the ones that I do I didn't buy because my dad didn't like them.

Since I was practicing for dance I didn't eat Lunch and nowadays I feel like maybe I don't need to eat Lunch because there really is no point if I have such a huge dinner. Well, not huge dinner but like today where I just ate a lot of stuff in general, and my parents make Lunch at home as well which is prepared for us. I  usually consider it Dinner though because how can anyone have Lunch at 5 p.m that's not healthy for your body. You're better off just not eating at all then throwing off your schedule. Besides by not eating as much I will bloat less and not feel full when dancing.

I have to use the bathroom after this blog anyway and then I'll dance so that's probably the reason why I'm bloating. Stuff like this is really what makes me conscious and even though I'm worried about what others think about me I never really take any initiative about it. Because in the end I just think, why not just play a couple of minutes on my computer, it won't hurt anyone. And then I stay for like 4 hours which is not what I originally wanted.

Or, how about I just not eat tase last few dumplings, but then devour them anyway because that's just me. And believe me I appreciate my aunt because she bought dumplings and Dunkin donuts for me and my sister. However, my sister literally ate 2 donuts and all the munchkins so I was left with 2 donuts. It's healthier than eating everything because too honest I probably would not have shared with her.

Sunday, February 24, 2019

I am going to be talking about my day yesterday since my dad said that I didn't have to write because when we came back home it was already 3:00m P.M and I usually do my homework early in the morning. So out of nowhere my dad asked my sister and me if we wanted to go to New York even though my sister said she wanted to eat at Wonder Bagels. But my dad said we'd eat at Dunkin Donuts on the way to the train station so my sister agreed. I wasn't too stoked about going outside in the first place but I put aside my negative feelings and got dressed.

The only part about this whole trip that really bothered me was the fact that my phone only had 26 percent battery. So by the time we reached New York it had like 5 percent left. One cool thing that we did was go on a ferry by taking the train to a place near Newport Mall. We had to wait in line for at the very most 10 minutes before entering and it was a great experience. I got to see just how fast the Ferry actually was on Water and believe me I was shocked by it's speed. Soon enough, we got off the dock and walked over to some weird structure that showed us a pretty high view of the ground below us.

It was pretty exciting but guess why I couldn't take a picture, because my goddamn phone was dead. Our next stop was to Barnes and Nobles but we were 15 minutes early and the store wasn't open, so my dad said that we would go to Bed baths and Beyond while we waited for the store to open. Surprisingly, by the time we finished shopping at Bed Baths and beyond there were already like 20 people in the store and it had just opened a couple of minutes before. I immediately searched for the manga section and started running to find a seat at the back of the store.

Eventually, my dad found me and he let me continue reading because he saw how intrigued I was in the book. After finished up my manga (I skipped like 100 pages since I didn't want to keep him waiting) we went back outside and started walking to the train station, we were going to meet my mom in a Tibetan Restaurant and eat food there.

I love Tibetan food and going to an actual restaurant just meant eating dumplings so I had no problem. I even had some bread and was about to order some noodles but decided otherwise because it just didn't seem like I would finish everything, and I'm happy I made the decision because after eating 5 dumplings in 2 minutes my stomach was done for. This was the last thing I did before my whole family went to a weird temple, prayed for a bit, and then took the train back home.

I thought that today was dress down's day and so I continued wear my pink sweater the whole day even though in reality it wasn't. It's just that the teachers will tell you that you're wearing the wrong uniform but they won't take it off of you. All of my special class teachers don't care what uniform I wear and my Math and ELA teacher allow it because they don't mind. The only eprnsont hat actually cares I the science teacher and whenever the principal of the school walks by. I've literally went past the dean of students from both buildings and they didn't say a single word.

Yesterday, I purposely wore the P.E uniform even though it wasn't a gym day because a couple of kids in my class have been wearing the P.E uniform every day or not event he correct clothes at all because no one every says anything to them. And it just so happens that the same exact thing happened to me. I wore the gym uniform and no one told me anything because all the teachers assumed that I had gym or thought that I had accidentally work my gym uniform. One of the girls in my class hasn't worn khakis in 2 weeks because she's been getting away with this. I feel like doing this more but not every day of the week.

The only day I will wear the regular uniform is on Thursday because I don't feel like doing it everyday, soon enough someone will get suspicious anyway. Today during ELA my teacher did another quizlet live and of course my group won twice because they have me. I'm just kidding, it used to be like that back in my other grades but my class has gradually become way smarter than me it's my job to keep up. It's just sad, I used to be so good at so many subjects. My playstation took that away from me but after two years my dad threw it out and now I have bene doing better. Then again, last year I did get honor roll even though I was using my playstation every weekend.

I didn't get accepted into high schools this year so I am going to be staying in Beloved and it just makes me really sad, I just hate that I didn't do good in my first term. I had a 60 in math which was the reason why I didn't make it. I managed to pick up every single one of my grades and my guidance counselor told me that but said that I should've focused more on trimester 1 than the rest because that was the most important.

Still, I can still apply next year to a different high school but I need to keep in mind that it is my responsibility to do my best in the first term so I get picked to one of the schools. Me and my friend who made it into County Prep made a promise that I would get into County Prep next year so that the two of us could talk to each again, although he's not sure if he should leave because his girlfriend is in Beloved. Anyway, I need to study harder and that is my plan.

Today I went to the I.T guy because they are the ones that have a tracking device on my Chromebook and I am hoping that one of them knows whether or not my Chromebook is somewhere at home or in the school. I told him my anemia and now he has the Chromebook tracked so if someone ever opens it and turns it on he can tell me where it is. I am really happy about this but I kinda wished that I could get it today. Tomorrow I am probably going to ask everyone if they can check their lockers and see if my Chromebook is there.

My reason behind this is because just today one of my friends found my notebook that I had lost along my Chromebook the day after and he said it was inside of his locker. This gave me some hope that maybe someone accidentally had tow chrome books with them in their locker and that one of them was mine. My Chromebook has my name inside of it and my class's schedule on it so that means a lot of people wouldn't try to steal that. It even has a piece of duct tape on it that I put so that I could identify it even further and I wish I hadn't erased my name on it because that would really narrow the searches.

it should have a number behind it but I have forgotten that because I never thought that I would lose my Chromebook. This is very upsetting, thankfully because of my case one of the two I.T guys has let me use their Chromebook that they gave me for as long as I want until I find my original Chromebook. So that's basically my plan, also I joined a dance performance. I know what you're thinking, oh my god Rinchen, you dancing?

Yes, I want to do something that makes me at the very least active and a motive so dancing in front of the whole school is definitely something that I will practice for because there is no way I am embarrassing myself like that. My friends who having been doing this k-pop dance twice already wanted me to join because I look like a k-pop star with the hair and the fact that I'm Asian.

Also, my friend knows that I like k-pop so this will definitely enjoy it. Every day starting Monday during Lunch we go to the Art room and we practice dancing except for Wednesday. I don't personally like recess anyway because I always either get Turf on my sweaters or I fall down and get hurt. Sometimes even things like my clothing get ripped because that's how rough I play when I'm outside. So dancing is definitely a step down from all the action and I'm actually not going to die every single day.

Wednesday, February 20, 2019

My dad didn't seem to like my post yesterday so I think that I will have to resort to talking about my day. I want to talk about my book on Saturday or Sunday, when I didn't do anything because that way I can use the book to its full usage. Why talk about my day on Wednesday on a Saturday? My hands are also a bit cold so this is going to take longer than usual. I woke up at exactly 6:00 today and turned off the alarm, then headed towards my sister's room so that I could tell her it was time to get up and change her clothes for school.

However, when I saw that my father was here I walked back and continued sleeping. He said that he would tell my sister it was time for her to wake up by himself and wanted her to have some more rest because it looked like she needed it. When I left the house I was pretty sure that I would make it to the bus stop and didn't have any worries. However, when I reached there there was no one there and the traffic guard told me that the bus had already left me a couple of minutes ago, so I headed back home and texted my father to drop me since he was home.

I was so happy that he was here because if he wasn't I would have to call my mom and make her pay money for an uber or stay home since I'm not supposed to walk all the way to the school since it's dangerous. During ELA class my teacher put some questions on the TV and it was our job to get into teams through a random name shuffler and work together to answer all of the questions.

It was pretty fun and afterwards we just took a lit facts quiz where I got a 54 out of 56 on, even though that actually would have been a 90 something if it was out of 100.Only like two kids got a 100 and that was because they guessed or had really good memory, one of them just so happened to be my friend which made me kind of jealous but definitely not mad. During class, the dean of students pulled out about 4 people because those kids had made it into County Prep, the one school that I really wanted to go to.

I can understand why County prep was so hard to get into this year, it was because everyone was thinking that it was such an easy school to get into that they all applied and out of the 3000 students that sent applications they can only accept 200 so it makes sense, still I'm just sad. My friend made me feel better by saying that next year I can still apply to get into so I still have a chance but it probably won't be that high.

BTS inspirational quote

“If you can’t fly, then run.
Today we will survive.
If you can’t run, then walk.
Today we will survive.
If you can’t walk, then crawl.”

This is a combination of lyrics that was sang in BTS's "Not Today" song.

And from this comes a poem that I made myself.

Working hard is something that is not commonly accepted,
People think that if they just don't give it their all and give off some barely accepting work it's okay,
But no, not today,
We as a Nation and world need to know that achieving your dreams takes dedication,

And by slacking off you aren't going to get by any goals,
Because the ones that you think you skipped through not working hard will eventually come back to haunt you,
and I don't care if you can't run, if you can't walk, if you can't crawl!
You will work hard because for those that can't do something that other's who don't try hard can,
that just gives you an even bigger reason to try even harder and surpass even your own expectations,

life isn't going to come easy on you can honestly you can't expect it to,
but by doing stuff that others won't you are once again going above and beyond,
And sure,
the methods that you do in order to reach your goal may not int he very least graceful,

But in the end you'll know that you were the one who did it while others didn't,
And another thing,
Don't create bad goals and use this as an inspiration,
do something that will benefit you as a person either mentally, physically, or financially.

Also at the very top where the quote is from BTS it seems like they must've took inspiration from Martin Luther King Jr. though that is just an inference I had to assume considering how close together they sound like.

As soon as Min left the home so that she could start and find her brother she had to go into the Hongok city and find out some information about where her brother could possibly be, but of course she needed to transform into someone who looked older and more refined. her shapeshifting powers would give her the ability to create accessories and other stuff out of it's own will, that was one thing that was good, as long as she wanted to shape shift the spirit inside of her would do everything for her and she didn't have to go into detail as to what she should wear or turn into.

It made her look like a young woman and she had huge emerald rings which covered one of her fingers and made it difficult for her to not stand out, although that was what she asked for. Some drunk police officers saw her and saw her huge rings. Most of them were men but some were woman and they said that they would love for her to buy them drinks and food since she looked rich in exchange for information to the spaceport where she could go to the space forces. Min didn't want to waste any time but knew things wouldn't be good if she refused.

The only problem was that she didn't have much money and of course the disguise only made her look rich. She asked to use the bathroom but then ran away, however halfway when running to the spaceport with only her money and fake idea she realized she had left the her backpack filled with her jades and a portrait of her family. But she knew that if she went back she would definitely be caught and then have to deal with the drunk guards being mad at her, so she  continued running to the spaceport until she saw the Red Azalea. It's the ship that she thought was not popular enough that it would cause attention but was good and wouldn't kill her, the only problem was that the captain was gambling at a parlor called, "Nari's".

She saw a sign when she first walked into Hongok that she don't play dice at sari's and it had some blood at the bottom of the words to underline them. Sure enough, Captain Hye was there and Min or like her fake name Bora says walked over to the captain. however, a woman who looked like she wanted to eat her came and said they needed to talk. Min knew that there was something fishy about her and now realized that from the scent she was a fox as well. The two of them knew each other were foxes and of the same family.

Apparently, her name was Nari and she was Min's mother's sister which is strange because Min's mom never said anything about another sister after the other 4 already living with them. But Nari said it was because her mother probably that she would be a bad influence on Min with gambling and that Min would probably shapeshift and use charm more than ever. Nari asked Min to work for her and that she would definitely get paid, especially since she had charm to make the customers want to keep playing even if they lost, which just gave Nari more money.

Like I promised today I am going to continue talking about the book which is called, "The Dragon Pearl". I have decided to start writing before reading just because reading is easier while writing takes up more time and usually it's better to just do the harder works first so you can knock of the easier ones later.
So because Min is a fox spirit and the rest of her family is too one of the investigators comes into their house because he needs to speak with them about Jun which is Min's brother who had apparently deserted the Space Forces where he had dreamed of going his whole life.

I don't know whether or not he told everyone that he was a fox spirit but either way he had worked there and trained as a cadet for a pretty reasonable amount of time. Then, as time went on he was reported as missing and the people reported him as a deserter. The investigator came to show the family the last letter he was going to send before he left and he told the family of foxes that Jun is believed to have gone and get the Dragon Pearl. Of course, everyone was astounded by this and Min knew that this was of course a definite possibility because Jun had always said that he wanted to restore Jinju to a place where the people there could leave in peace and in decent living conditions.

The letter that the investigator showed them was definitely from Jun but it didn't seem like something he would do. it talked about him going to a mission with some friends and that at the space forces there were definitely a ton of chores to be done. Min found this suspicious because Jun never complained about chores even as a child, it wasn't like him. The investigator wanted to have a private conversation with Min's mother, but min used her shapeshifting powers to try into a table and pretend as though she wasn't anything else. They were talking to each other and Min was afraid that the Investigator would know about Min.

Then, the investigator was again talking bad about Jun and Min got pissed, she turned out of the table form back into human form and then yelled at the man. The investigator then said that he knew they were foxes after all and said something about knowing why the captain wanted the cadet, Min assumed he was referring to Jun as the cadet.

Then, he was about to pull something from his pocket which Min could only assume was a gun and attacked him making the man unconcious and then the whole family was notified that now the space forces would know that there was a family of fox spirits living on Jingu if the man went back. But Min couldn't stay any longer, she got supplies and clothes, then ran outside and away from her house with looking back, she would find Jun and she would bring him back home safely.

my dad said that I could write about anything today so I am just going to be talking about Fortnite's new update because It is honestly amazing. I love the update because it adds a ton of new things. And I'm sorry if you don't like reading this stuff Papa but tomorrow I promise tow rite about the book because I am almost done. In almost all of these fiction mythology books I am always surprised why towards the end of the book when there are only like 100 pages left they seem like it's still in its middle stage. I just don't understand, I feel like they are always rushing to end the book so it isn't too long yet the ending always feels so incomplete or fast.

Maybe it's just me but I am just always getting this feeling. There are only 100 pages left of this book yet Min still hasn't found her brother and get the Dragon Pearl so that it can save the world and get away from the evil people of the thousand worlds. Yet, somehow I know they will find some type of dastardly explanation that shows where the Dragon Pearl is and then how Min finds her brother. Or even that Min doesn't find her brother at all and that the book ends with a sad note. That yet would be extremely bad and I would have nightmares in my sleep about how sad Min couldn't find her brother.

Maybe he died? And the reason I'm even mentioning this is because this book, "The Dragon Pearl" isn't a series. It's literally just one book which makes me very sad but at the same time gives me the beginning and ending in one book which many books fail to a accomplish. Anyways, let's go ahead and talk about Fortine because that was the orginally plan of the post int he firs talc and I am very happy to write about this. So in the 7.40 update that Fortnite just released they fixed a lot of things that will hopefully bring more players back into the game.

Right now about 40 percent of the Fortnite player base has literally changed and switched over to Apex Legends because that game is really doing good and getting a lot of attention. I really want to just say starting off that Fortnite has done a great job with getting the player base to sky rocket over the past 2 days. Now, Hand Cannons which were originally considered the most overpowered weapons in the game got a nerf or made them weaker. Now, they cannot break walls immediately unless they get some type of damage to the walls.

They basically buffed the hand cannon and then made it go back to it's originally state, though I would gladly take this gun over any other weapon besides a sub machine gun because those things are godly. Now airplanes cannot break buildings anymore unless you shoot which still makes them terrifying cause the weapon on the plane wasn't nerfed. And building rates are 40 percent faster which means you can get mats much faster and the building cap is much lower, or players will have to conserve their mats much more.

Happy Valentines Day to everyone who is reading this post which is probably just me checking for spelling mistakes or my dad. I remember when I used to get like 10 views on every post because I would talk about things that actually matter like information on Dinosaurs and about famous people. I remember in 4th grade I had 400 views on my Blog and I was so happy that that many people read at least one of my posts. But now I have about 3,395 views on my blog even though I haven't been writing about interesting things. My highest views in a single day is about 200 because I wrote about a book which I think was a Wrinkle of Time, and at the time the movie was just coming out so of course people were going to search it up.

I am just happy that I was able to accomplish such a feat even though it isn't exactly that amazing. This month I have about 41 people who have read my post although about 35 of those are just my father making sure that I wrote for the day since I have to write 5 paragraphs everyday. I remember when there was this period where I would write 4 paragraphs everyday and my dad was okay with it. I'm deciding that I am going to do that for today's post and just have those paragraphs be much thicker than my posts with 5 paragraphs.

Valentines Day wasn't exactly the best because I didn't really have someone to give a gift to. There are 2 girls who like me but I don't like them so I try to ignore them but sometimes it's just not possible and things will get awkward, especially today. One of the girls gave me 3 photo cards with BTS's pictures on them since the both of us like BTS a lot and I really appreciated. I am going to give my sister one of them and then put the other 2 on my Chromebook and behind my phone case as a sort of reminder about how BTS changed my life because of their powerful music and great personalities.

First period my teacher gave everyone gifts and my ELA teacher had candies which she gave to everyone. My Spanish teacher did the same thing and both of those candies combined I gave to my friend because he loves them and I don't want my sister to eat too many sweets so I didn't give it to her. We were talking about monologues in ELA class and I decided to do Jesse Owens because he is my favorite African American start, I watched the movie and it really is just empowering. He was the fastest man during his time and he set multiple records, as well as won 4 gold medals it he 1936 olympics at Berlin. This was held in a time where Nazi supremacy was definitely a thing and Adolf Hitler wanted to prove that Germany had the best athletes out there. Obviously this idea backfired since U.S.A won everything but the movie also talks about stuff like racism and how Jesse Owens paved the way for other African American athletes to stand their ground and set records as well.

Today's post is going to be about the dragon pearl which is this book that my dad got me for my birthday and that I have been dying to read. The reason that I have been dying to read this book is because it is about Asian mythology, what I don't know is whether it's Japanese or Chinese, I'm pretty sure it's not South Korean but who knows. Anyways the protagonist of this story is Min and she lives with her family on a planet called, "Jinju" which is definitely small and not widely habited. Her whole family are fox spirits and in the society around them most people think that the foxes have disappeared and went missing long ago. Although it's not like if you see one you'll be surprised.

Probably shocked is the better word, since they have been known in society as tricksters and bad people, although unlike other spirits they can use charm and change the way people's motion feel and shape shift into different animate or inanimate objects. Dragons are the ones that actually create the worlds in which people live but it takes many years for a group of them to make one from scratch, goblins are known for strong magical power and the ability to have wands that can do many important things, including an invisibility cap.

Tigers are ferocious and are extremely vicious but they can have temper issues. And finally there are humans who are just humans and nothing more, the society all thought that it was just better if the creatures all just shape shift into humans that way giant dragons wouldn't overload the cities, and tigers wouldn't scare the humans. The goblins just have little horns on their foreheads to indicate they were indeed goblin. I don't know about dragons but Tigers have amber eyes that can be sometimes be a dead goodbye.

In all of these creatures they can only shape shift into humans and back, foxes are the only ones that can change into anything with he right amount of strength and manipulate emotions into things you wouldn't believes. For Min and her family they all live in Jinju so that o one can find out about where they are, since Jinju isn't exactly the most popular space to live. One day, an investigator comes into the house and talks with his mom not knowing that she and the rest of the family are foxes.

Apparently, Min's brother who had joined the elite space forces had deserted the place with a group of other people in search of the Dragon Pearl. Min knew this was probably because Jun wanted to restore Jinju into a great place that everyone could enjoy and this would be the starting point. The Dragon Pearl can make a whole planet with trees and air in just one day which is a huge feat and the dragon community would personally pay a heavy sum for it. Mercenaries everywhere are trying to find this pearl and wiling to give it up for the highest bidder. But something doesn't seem right, why would Jun leave the place where he had dreamed of going to as a little kid?

I haven't done my writing in quite a while because it was either Tibetan New Year, or my birthday which was yesterday. During Tibetan New Year I spent three days not doing any homework and just relaxing playing video games because my dad let me, and I'm happy considering I could take a break from all of the school pressure. During the weekends I went to New York with my dad and sister and it was really fun. I had already talked about most of it but let me finish. So after eating at the Subway we headed towards the Macy's and just walked around looking at all of the stores.

I begged my dad to take my sister and me to Gucci because even though I knew we couldn't buy anything I wanted to see the inside of the store. I had never ever been to a Gucci Store in my entire life so it was a good chance to see it not through a phone screen. We also could've gone to the Loui Vuitton store but honestly there was no point. Both brands are extremely expensive but it seems as though most women prefer Loui Vuitton bags compared to Gucci, it's honestly just the price difference (still expensive).

There was an actual dog that was in the next floor that we visited and it was growling everywhere. I guess they allow animals to come in as long as they have an owner, and honestly those people do look rich. We even visited the bottom of the whole mall which was actually just a giant Levi store. While we were at the make up section some guy apparently walked up to my dad and sister and asked if they wanted to try any samples.

My sister being the girl that she is said yes and she headed towards the man as he held her hand. The man was a salesmen and was doing a really good job of making us buy the store's product. He gave monkyi a little stick and put some perfume on it so she could smell it. Afterwards, she gave my dad some men's perfume and me something which smelled really good. We were trying to leave but this man was making it so we couldn't.

He was telling us all types of facts and was right behind us as we discussed the product. I am going to be honest, when my dad said that we would do a circle and come to buy the product I knew he was lying but the man finally let us go saying that we should really think about it. We walked really fast and sat on a couch near the stairs where we just used our phones. But the lesson is, don't let people fitness you like that. This guys honestly a legend, and once you say yes he won't stop. Anyway, that was the end of our trip to New York, afterwards we just went to H&M to buy some clothes like a sweater and outfit for my sister.

Sunday, February 10, 2019

Yesterday my dad decided that me and my sister would go with him to New York and so the two of us took showers and changed our clothes so that it would fit the cold weather. For some reason, while we were walking from our house to the train station it was extremely chilly but in New York it was warmer or the wind had definitely died down because I didn't feel anything. My dad said that he wanted to go and shop jeans for me and we went to two stores. One was JcPenny while the other was Uniqlo.

The both of them had the same exact jeans and colors but we just couldn't agree on a color, my dad wanted black while I liked the light blue because I personally like lighter colors that stand out more. Uniqlo actually had sweatpants that looked like jeans and they were extremely comfy. However, because he wanted the black and I liked the light blue we just left the store. It wasn't going to work anyway, I can pretty much never go shopping with my parents because the both of them can be exact opposites.

My dad likes the lower prices like 5 dollars or below but makes sure that they have good quality. Meanwhile, my mom prefers the higher prices and the way that they look, although she does care about quality it isn't as precise compared to my father. Soon enough, we saw an amazon books store and I was not in the mood to go shopping after that, but my dad was interested and since he's the adult we don't really have a choice.

So entering inside its was nice and quiet with a stack of computers lining the middle of the rooms so that you could read from there and a medium sized TV playing the Black Panther. Then, I headed to the back and saw that they had actual books, although not manga I was still very interested and so I saw that there was the one book that I had asked my father to get me from Barnes and Nobles a week ago for my birthday. The book was called, "The Dragon Peal" and it is about the mythology of an Asian girl or in reality fox sprit that has to save her brother.

It's amazing and at the same time I saw another book presented by Rick Riordan himself so I grabbed the two of them asked my father if I could get them. Well, actually I didn't ask him he told me that I needed to get a book from here so it blended in nice with each other. For Lunch we found the nearest Subway and got custom sandwiches that fit into our liking, my sister and me like the same thing so it was easier and required less time. Finally, all three of us were walking when we headed into Macy's and visited a bunch of different types of stores that I was very fond of and wanted to look at, but that's a story for another time.

Propaganda Explained

Propaganda Unveiled
The history behind Propaganda

Introduction 1

The spreading of ideas, information or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person, is the definition of propaganda according to the Webster dictionary. The definition of the word Propaganda has always been a part of the dictionary and it has a long history in the world. As you can see for the most part it means ideas, information, or a rumor that can either help a cause or lessen it. Possibly lying to people and creating the wrong idea that people do not need to hear. Usually it is used in the negative sense but alas it also has the same effect for the good side of things and people may use it in many varying ways. In one article is says that Propaganda is biased or misleading information circulated via some form of mass media with the intent of promoting a political agenda or viewpoint. Propaganda affects social change because people are controlling how the information the media conveys is interpreted.
Introduction 2
“Modern propaganda uses all the media available to spread its message, including: press, radio, television, film, computers, fax machines, posters, meetings, door-to-door canvassing, handbills, buttons, billboards, speeches, flags, street names, monuments, coins, stamps, books, plays, comic strips, poetry, music, sporting events, cultural events, company reports, libraries, and awards and prizes”, says one article. “While propaganda has been around for almost a thousand years, only recently (last 100 years) with the advent of technologies that allow us to spread information to a mass group has it evolved to a scientific process capable of influencing a whole nation of people.”, states the same article. Propaganda impacted the following social changes, the Holocaust, the 2016 American election for presidency, and the dispute between Tibet and China (I’m Tibetan).
 First Body paragraph Holocaust
To commence, propaganda made it so the U.S and other countries would not know of the horrors that occured in Germany. To summarize, the article I read about was talking about the situation between the Germans and Nazis and how Hitler was saying all types of stuff about the Jews to make the people hate them and consider them not human. Furthermore, Throughout the 1930s, Hitler portrayed Germany as a victimized nation, held by the embarrassing loss of World War 1. “The radios and newspapers made the Jews and outside world believe that nothing was going to happen to the Jews and that in Germany it was peaceful and prosperous.”, this is what the author says. This is when they realized that they were going to be taken to concentration and camps where they would be enslaved and murdered in mass killings. In short, hitler was very smart and took advantage of the German’s poor economic status. To continue, he had to put the blame on someone else, whether it was for religious reasons or just lack of options he chose the Jews to be the ones that were picked as the targets.“Some things that the Nazi’s said the Jews did was spread disease and that they were all filthy. This of course was not true because I can assure there were some Jews that could have been way cleaner than Germans. But the germans become gullible or were just so moved that they didn’t see what lies beneath Adolf Hitler’s speeches.”, the article clearly states. This has been stated by the Nazi party multiple times and like stated the Germans decided that whatever Hitler said was true and believe every word of it, even though Hitler’s speeches were just made up and not in any way reasonable. To bring this all into light, these two sources will both suggest that propaganda did make it so that the U.S and other countries would not know of the discrimination between Jews and Germans. By taking control over the media Hitler was able to not only send messages to Germans in America about the acts but to also change a whole set of people who were not previously on his side to convert. To synthesize, this made made the Jewish population be portrayed as weak and disgusting people. Many of them did not know what to do and where to go after the war and knew that they definitely could not stay in Germany. Thus, propaganda has definitely created a hysteria in not only Germany but other places as well, it creates a sort of emotion that gives us fear, anxiety, or joy depending on the situation, now the question is, what will you do about it?
Second Body paragraph TIbetans vs Chinese
The debate between the Chinese and Tibetan has been going on for many years and it goes to show that although many people do not know what Tibet is, it still matters that we work to help Tibetans reclaim their country. The United Nations has gone against China for abusing human rights after the country was exposed for their cruelty towards the Tibetans. Tibet has long been the homeland of the Tibetans but the Chinese had decided take over long ago and now claim it as theirs. “China’s propaganda images are designed to show how happy Tibetans are. This couldn't be further from the truth, with Tibetans left disadvantaged in their own country.”, this goes to show that they will do whatever it takes to take control of Tibet. In China the main language taught is of course Chinese but this makes it so that Tibetans are not able to learn their mother tongue unless their parents know it. This is probably to make it so that eventually people can’t even speak the language. The Dalai Lama is right now Tibet’s thirteen political and spiritual leader. He has met with people such as Barack Obama, the Pope himself, and many other famous people who have made a difference. This makes Westerners support the movement because they as well can tell that what China is doing isn’t right. “Free Tibet supporters have no argument with the Chinese people. They support Free Tibet because they see Tibetans as victims of the undemocratic Chinese government and see Tibetans’ unwavering struggle for freedom as a just cause.”, the Americans indeed support the movement, “Free Tibet”. “The Free Tibet movement is supported by Western anti-China forces. Human rights are China’s internal affair and Westerners who have never been to Tibet have no right to speak against China’s policies.”, what China says. Specifically, both the Westerners, Dalai Lama, and author of the article himself both strongly believe that we as a whole need to stand up to China. There have been many fearless Tibetans who have taken it upon themselves to go against China but in return have faced harsh punishment since China as of right now technically controls the whole plateau. To synthesize, this all goes back to the fact that Tibet and China have been at this debate for quite a while. Did you know that Tibetans aren’t even allowed to go to China? In short, we Tibetans still go at it because of the countless people that have sacrificed their own lives just because they couldn’t live in oppression anymore. Are you with “Free Tibet”?

Third Body Paragraph (Recent Times)
When Donald Trump won the 2016 election, the reason that there is propaganda related to this is election is because when it happened there were many people who didn’t vote for Hillary Clinton because everyone was saying that she was going to win by unanimous vote. And the folks who supported Trump rapidly voted for him. In other words, fake news really is the reason the Donald Trump won the 2016 election. Moreover, he himself admits that media played a huge part in him winning the election.“Clinton does herself no favors when she suggests that criticism of the paid speeches she gave to Goldman Sachs was motivated by sexism, however sexism did definitely play a part in her election”, says the article. Sexism played a huge part in the election because a lot of people did not think that a woman was capable of running the country, at least not yet. Although, to be honest Hillary Clinton did take part in a ton of scandals that many people pointed out. The FBI found out about a fake email she made and this made the citizens of America consider her untrustworthy. It was either woman or an actor with wrote a book and was full of money. “Anyone who thinks sexism isn’t a force in American politics should have a good answer to the question of why, in a country that’s more than half women, there has never been a female president and, aside from Clinton, no woman has ever come close to winning a major party’s nomination.”, shows that sexism did indeed prove to be an effective reason. Hillary Clinton said that although she accepts every decision that she makes she knows that the news, media, and James Comey incident all played a huge role in her loss. To enumerate, Donald Trump won the presidential election due to propaganda from the media. Hillary Clinton also faced sexism from numerous voters but was a respectable candidate in the end that gave Trump a run for his money. To synthesize, Hillary Clinton was the first woman to win the popular vote in any presidential election since many woman did not run for president. She made faulty mistakes that helped result to her end. Thus, fake news did play a dramatic effect in the victory for Mr. Trump.
Conclusion
In final analysis, propaganda is a type of information that is used to confuse or wrongfully control people. Propaganda affects social change by controlling the media to convey a negative or positive message (mainly negative). Propaganda has affected social change through many historic and ongoing events such as the Holocaust, the debate between both Tibetans and Chinese, and the 2016 presidential election. So now the question stands, what will you do in the face of propaganda?

You may not be happy with this but I am going to do it anyway, when my bus dropped me and the rest of the kids off at the school I ran to the school because I wanted to have as much time eating Breakfast and getting time to put my stuff in my backpack inside of my locker and getting organized. Two things happened, one I had finished getting ready for ELA class 5 minutes before I had to go to the class and two: the breakfast didn't come so I was hungry for the first 30 minutes of class.

Thankfully, someone delivered breakfast to our class and everyone who wanted to eat got to, there wasn't even milk but just cereal and orange juice. I being me, put the orange juice inside of the cereal and tried to eat it as if it was cereal. Believe me, it definitely did not taste good, but while my teacher wasn't paying attention my friend and I grabbed two cereals and quietly walked to our seats. Some of the kids who were across from us started laughing because they saw us and I would've laughed too, but I tried to pretend like nothing happened in a funny way and made it to my seat.

Of course, the plan backfired because my teacher apparently had just pretended that she didn't see us take the cereal. She said it in a very general sense, "Guys, if you are going to take cereal at least make sure that everyone else had cereal before you get seconds", but my friend and I felt as though she was targeting us. We didn't get in trouble though and we just laughed it off, and before you say why I was stealing breakfast it wasn't like I was in any real trouble and if I actually did cause a serious mistake she would've told me to put it back until I had permission.

To make for this I got another hundred on my test like usual and just finessed my grades. Right now, somehow my lost grade is a 76 and my highest grade is still thankfully a 100. You might think, why is having a 76 as your lowest grade an accomplishment to you? Believe me, that grade is Social Studies and I had just had a 70 like 3 days ago. Also, compared to term 1 grades you can definitely see improvement.

In reality my lowest grad in term 1 was a 40 something but my teacher said that he wouldn't let anyone fail Math because we were the first class in the whole school to take an Algebra 1 course and he kept his promise. So my grade was a 60 since that is the last number you can have before failing. I literally have 2 A+, 2 C+, and one C. If my teacher had put my grades that I have right now for Math I should have an 84 because ever 100 adds an extra 4 points to your grade for the most part. Unless, you had a 75 before and then turned it into a 100, that would just leave it to only a 1+ point increase.

Tibet

I love Bhuddism,
and Bhuddism loves me,
we each share compassion,
and love each other dearly,
the monks are all bald,
and the temples are small,
the animals are hungry,
and the flowers are drought,
We talk about peace and compassion,
we have non-violence and peace treaties,
but what we don't talk about are our struggles,
China kills us day by day,
they say they're peaceful,
yet haunt us like prey,
they killed our people,
and made us weak,
Tibet isn't a country,
says the Chinese,
we are kind and have no hate,
We chant, "Free Tibet",
we need to fight for our country,
Peace doesn't solve all problems,
then again,
what did Martin Luther Kind Jr. Do?,
faced the whites with no hate,
and made great speeches towards his fellow negroes,
but in the end he died,
and Mahatma Ghandi did too,
Tibet is need of assistance,
and so we ask you to come,
and our pleading call that you hear,
"Free Tibet" is near,

I've been reading this book called, "Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: 9 from the nine worlds". And it's basically telling a story about the other characters who were in the main story, the ones that helped Magnus Chase save Asgard. It's been about 3 months since I read that book but I have weird feeling that I remember some of the characters. And you can probably guess the book is by, "Rick Riordan" because he is just an amazing author. I wish that he would produce more books about Asian Mythology because I've never read one of those before. I just searched up this book called, "Dragon Pearl" and it's about Korean mythology.

Well, not necessarily all of Korean mythology but the fox spirits which I think are really cool. Back when I used to play this mythology game called, "Smite" I would always pick the characters that had something to with asian mythology and one of them was a Chinese fox spirit called, "Da Ji" that had nine tails. Papa, if you are reading this I would hope that for my birthday you could get me this book from Barnes and Nobles since your work is right next to it. You usually get me books anyway, so this would be an amazing addition to my mythology collection. My first book about asian gods, let me give you a little summary about it from Rick Riordan himself.

"Min is just your regular teenaged fox spirit, living with her family on the dusty backwater world of Jinju. Oh, sure, like all fox spirits, she can change shape into whatever she wants: human, fox, even a dining table. And, yes, she has the power to Charm -- to manipulate human emotions and make people see things that aren’t there. But that’s not very exciting when you’re stuck on the family farm, sleeping every night in a crowded common room with your snoring cousins, spending every day fixing condensers in the hydroponics dome. Min yearns to join the Space Forces like her older brother Jun did – to see the galaxy and have marvelous adventures!

That’s not easy for fox spirits, though. When humans colonized the galaxy, they brought all the supernatural races with them: dragons, tigers, goblins, you name it. But fox spirits? They have a bad reputation as unreliable tricksters. Nobody wants them around. Even now, when humans have spread across the Thousand Worlds, there doesn’t seem to be any place for foxes. Min has to hide her true nature. There’s little chance she’ll be as lucky as her brother and escape her dull existence." The only weird thing about most mythology books is that although you might think most of these books take place in ancient times they really are in the present or future and that may not make sense to you.

I just found out that all of these books that say Rick Riordan aren't actually written by him, maybe some of them are but a couple of them are from other authors that he had decided publish because he liked them. Of course, this doesn't make him a liar, because he does put the author's name at the bottom. I just always assumed that when it said, "Rick Riordan Presents" it meant he wrote it. He uses his fame to bring small time authors with good writing skills more popularity and eventually they can write their own books. Unfortunately, the Dragon Pearl book isn't a series but that won't stop me from reading it.

Today was a half day and I made sure to check in my Chromebook whether or not today was a dress down because like I stated in a previous post I'm pretty sure that every week there is either a dress down or half day, one of those two. And it just so happened that there was a free sports dress down and a half day at the same time. This wasn't surprising although its not as common. I don't really like sports and to be honest I have started to not fall in love with sports anymore, although soccer does still have a special place in my heart. So since I love k-pop and I just so happened to have bought a BTS hoodie I decided to wear that and some black pants because they match.

I wasn't about to wear this black hoodie with grey and yellow sweatpants. That just doesn't make sense. It seems as though the bus comes earlier now, I guess the bus driver has finally decided to wake up earlier, or maybe traffic has just been really good, the morning is rush hour after all. I barely made it to the bus, it had just closed its doors and was beginning to drive off. I turned the corner and started to wave my hands signaling the driver that I was there. I gave me relief and I was happy to have made it to school, otherwise I would have had to stay home since my dad said that walking to school is not an option.

Apparently, my class was the best for the month of January and the school gave our class donuts, one for everyone. I don't know whether I was just hungry, I ate too much, or I needed to use the bathroom because the whole day my stomach wasn't exactly in the best shape. The first class of the day was Music and my teacher was going to give anyone who got bingo first 5 dojo points. At first I didn't win, but the second time I did. Everyone was to supposed to clear their papers but since I used pen I couldn't get it off.

So I just continued and not surprisingly I was the first person to get Bingo. My friends accused me of cheating playfully but my teacher knew that she had no more copies and didn't want to do another round so she declared me the winner either way. Now, for ELA my teacher put up a movie on Amazon Prime about why Donald Trump won the 2016 election and this movie was called, "Fahrenheit 11/9".  it had a few curse words in actually those were the funny aspects about it.

Then it showed how Donald Trump was indeed a sexual predator by him making remarks about his daughters and other woman/children. One of the boys in my class started yelling about how the Holocaust was taking place in America and we all said that definitely was not the case but in a couple of years that may indeed happen. Donald Trump said stuff like how if his daughter was't his daughter he'd definitely go out with her because that's just how "beautiful" she was. We all found these remarks disturbing and he said in the Trump building when looking at a little 10 year old girl that in ten years she's be dating him! A 72 year old mean dating a 20 year old, lol.

Dream shoes

This weekend was like an epic study moment session where I just spent all of my time just practicing for the ELA EOY, the Math EOY, and the...
