For today’s post I’ve decided not to continue the summary about “Galactic Hot Dogs”, but only because yesterday I read a whole new book. The book was called “School of the Dead”. I’m starting to like all these horror and scary books. Unfortunately the book didn’t have pictures, but I didn’t mind because the story was so interesting. Today I’ll just give a tiny summary and then start going into detail about everything. So lets start with a tiny summary about the whole story. Before I start I just want to say that I’ll probably be talking about this book for the next 3 posts so that will give you time to catch up if you missed anything.
The “School of the Dead”, by “AVI” (can’t fid the real name), is about a boy named Tony who doesn’t believe in ghosts. However before his uncle died the guy suggested Tony go to a school called “Penda” that is in San Francisco. While there Tony gets suspicious about many things and that’ll get him into trouble. Along the way he meets new friends, however is this school normal or a plan to trap Tony all together (the reason I say “together” is because he makes more than just one enemy and the students are just as bad). Just wait to find out!
Now I’ll begin the whole story.
One day a boy named Tony has his Uncle Charlie invited to his house. Reason being, the man is growing old and needed to spend more time with people then by himself. Uncle Charlie seemed like a really nice person and fun when he joined the family. However he always talked about ghosts and that got Tony a bit curious. Unfortunately Tony wasn’t able to find anything out because Uncle Charlie died a few days later. The last thing Uncle Charlie told Tony was that he wishes Tony and him could go to the other side forever.
Then Tony’s mother remembered something. Uncle Charlie wanted Tony to go to a school in San Francisco called “Penda” for some reason. The reasons as to why Tony’s mom, dad, and even himself went there was because Tony had no more friends because of Uncle Charlie (everyone was spooked by him) ,and his parents wanted more challenging work. Thats why when his parents found jobs they left their house and got an apartment in San Francisco. Tony was going to be the new kid at his school and a part of something much bigger. He was still confused as to why his Uncle Charlie wanted him to go there.
When the three of them finally arrived at San Francisco they headed to their apartment and unpacked. All except for Tony. He was too focused on his slackline. Then Tony remembered something. His Uncle Charlie said the number 7 was supposed to be the most important number in the universe. Suddenly Uncle Charlie appeared right in front of Tony. It was a memory of him. Then he vanished, but Tony had a feeling he’d come back.
While visiting the school and looking around before his first day Tony saw something inside the school. Since the school used to be a mansion it had many towers and small rooms. In one of the tower windows stood a boy. It was a Sunday too! Then the boy vanished and a girl took his place. Something weird was going on Tony and to get to the bottom of things. When Tony got home he went on his slackline, but kept on falling because he wasn’t concentrating. The last thing Tony remembered before falling asleep was when Uncle Charlie told him the slack line is like two sides, life and death!
