Since today was Halloween and the teachers said that you can wear your Halloween costume if you wanted to I improvised, since I'm not going trick or treating anyway. So, my outfit was called, "Athletic Dude", I just needed to come up with a random name in case one of teh teacher's asked me what I was supposed to be. I wore my regular Adidas shoes with some Adidas sweatpants and then wore an Adidas shirt. My sweater wasn't Adidas but that didn't matter because all I had to do was take it off. I was pretty excited because we were supposed to do some type of Hockey Championship but it all went to waste because since it was a half day he wouldn't have time to do everyone in the school in one day (that was what he was hoping to do). So instead we played an alternate version of Dodgeball where we could only aim at someone's knees and below, in addition it was a free for all, yet people were acting like there were two teams.

When I say this, I mean that as soon as the game started everyone would, go to one side of the gym. It was my job to tell the other students that you could go anywhere before they started realizing it, but some of them just stayed to one side because they didn't want to get hit. After about 20 minutes I started to get realy annoyed because it looked just like the way it started. Eventually, teh only thing that I got out of that was some nice cardio. There wasn't any warm-up but that just made up for everything. During ELA we were supposed to go outside because the little kids were doing a Halloween march and I saw two asians kids right next to each other wearing a Gengi costume and a Ninja costume. Now in case you don't know, Overwatch used to be my favorite game, and in being my favorite game I obviously would play it a lot, so Genji is one of the characters in the game that you're able to play.

I always loved the way the robotic ninja looked even though I wasn't good at him because all his skins made him look super dope. I even used some Overwatch League tokens to buy a skin for him that I personally really enjoyed. Back then, in the Overwatch league, they're were teams from different countries and states (America) that came together to play against each other. Well, my favorite team was the Shanghai dragons (they were a Chinese team), the reason they were my favorite was because they were actually the worst team. You might eb thinking, why would you favor the worst team over the ones that are doing better? Well, the Shanghai dragons had like a 10 losing streak and then they beat the best team in the league in one of the matches (they still lost since they're were 4 matches), but whenever they won anything it made me feel so happy. Anyway, that's it for today's post.

Nothing really good happened today, so it's going to be pretty boring, although I do want to talk about this one thing that happened yesterday during Physical Education. Basically, in P.E were going to stop Soccer for the time being and begin Floor Hockey. I wasn't really optimistic about this sport mainly because it's not my favorite sport (I haven't played it for at least a year). Like I have stated and will continue to state Soccer is the only sport that I love and it will continue to be my favorite sport. Anyways, once we were done with our two song run (warmup) my teacher began explaining the rules of Floor Hockey and that on Wednesday (tomorrow) we will begin a sort of championship. Yesterday we picked teams and at first I was going to sit in the sidelines and just wait but this one girl's group needed one more group adn she saw me patiently waiting, after inviting me I felt it was rude to reject her offer, although she was pretty persistent.

The only bad part of that decision was that everyone in that group was lazy, I must've been the only person that wanted to actually win this thing, everyone else was thinking about talking to thier friends or just how much they were going to be sweating. Apparently, there were 6 teams and a tournament would begin, afterwards, whoever won would have to face of against the winner of another class. Then, the winner of those two classes would be against each other until the actual winner would emerge. I would assume that something great or good would happen to whoever won the finals. Maybe we would get to keep a Soccer Ball for free. I thought that it was really cool but with the team that I had we weren't going to win anything. I bet that in the first match we would lose like 0 to 3. And the match was only 3 min anyway, because they need to fit all the matches in one class.

Let me explain all of my team members, now they're all my friends but that's mainly only because we talk to each other often. They're aptitude to do anything athletic except for one of them is really getting me nervous. This is one girl doesn't like sports at all and prefers to just relax but I talk to her about stuff like K-Pop and on the bus so we're cool. This other girl (the one that wanted me to join) is extremely energetic when talking to friends or hearing music like "BTS" but I haven't seen her "shine" in sports just yet, when we were doing soccer she seemed pretty reluctant to run unless the ball was like right next to her. And finally, this one boy who has done cross-country this year (cross country is about to end in like the next week) but for some reason whenever we do a race or something realted to running he just never seems to "surprise me". I mean, he's probably just trying not to waste energy for Cross Country but I mean, seriously?

MONDAY...

I just finished studying for a Math test that I have tomorrow and reading a new book that I got from the book fair back in 7th grade. Now from what you just heard technically the book isn't new because I got it almost a year ago but I haven't read it yet so that's what I'm calling it. The book is the second one of the series and about a boy named, "Devin" that has to endur his cousin's constant yapping about the new neighbor being some sort of magical creature, in the first book it was a warlock (male magician), now it's a family of Vampires. Some evidence that his cousin provides is that the girl who he likes is actually part of the same family of supposed Vampries and suddenly invited Devin to a dance, secondly, the mother died from a rare blood disorder (thats what the girl told Devin's mom) and since Vampires drink blood "Tommy" (the cousin) was starting to get pretty anxious, finally, on the day the movers were bringing stuff inside Devin and Tommy say one of the workers bringing a coffin inside of the house. Although they did specify that the father was apparently some sort of actor.

That's just a little bit of what I've read over the past 25 minutes of my life, by the end of this week I should've have finished at least enough pages to write about another 1 or 2 times. Now, onto what I did at school. After locking the door of my house I walked to my bus stop and sat in the cold weather for about 20 minutes before the school bus came. It wasn't jam-packed with kids and everyone was silent so I did my best to stay the same way and not stand out, no matter how awkward it was. At class a bunch of kids were eating breakfast and chatting about the homework that was due today. One kid was making a funny face, I thought it was pretty funny but some of them were just dying, like they fell down crying! One of them even pushed another student onto the floor by accident because she couldn't contain herself! Thankfully, I was able to leave the room in time before things got chaotic.

Since I got my new schedule last Tuesday I wasn't able to full experience Monday, now I understood how it was like. The first half of the day was just as boring as Friday, but thankfully, Lunch and the periods afterwards were extremely splendid. One of the kids during Social Studies was in trouble because he was talking too much and the teacher called his mom, it was pretty funny during the middle of it because he was making faces, like this, "WHAT DID I DO?". Then at the end when the teacher hung off the phone he started crying and I had no sympathy, along with one of my friends. One of the boys friends was saying stuff like, "Oh, he's parents are gonna beat him, you guys don't understand!". And I was so pissed because they're is literally nothing special about Child Abuse and parents hitting their children. To be honest, I wanted to hit that girl so hard but since, 1: I can't hit a girl and 2: I wasn't going to go to the dean for something the boy started, I calmly relaxed and kept my mouse shut. Also, this kid is pretty weird, he has no problem dissing other people and making them feel bad but when it's his time to get in trouble he cries, everyone in my class is so hypocritical and I hate it, but it's whatever.

High School

So far I've been checking my email multiple times but their haven't been any notifications about my acceptance or denial, other than the one about my teacher submitting the recommendation letter that he wrote for me to go to high school. I feel bad because for one of my applications I needed to delete it since I accidently put the same essay from High School for County Prep, even they they have different academic classes for me to take. I'm really interested in County Prep because they have more choices to choose from but are like two blocks down to the school that I'm in right now, and it would be good to have a better difference in area. High Tech clearly offers that because even though they are in New Jersey it's like a 20 minute drive from here, I don't expect that to take long because as long as my father signs up for a bus then we're still good. I mean, how much farther could they really be?

The point is, when I re apply for Country Prep my teacher may most likely have to resend the recommendation letter and I feel like I'm being too much of a burden to him, or wasting his time because he has a life too (In China). In addition to that, when my Health Teacher first gave me my teacher's email he wouldn't let me have it unless I had Mr. Correa's permission. Unfortunately, once I told one of my friends that I had Mr. Correa's email 2 other kids asked it from me instead of the Health teacher (they were in the same class as me last year). And knowing how nice I am at school it was too hard for me to say no. Thankfully, Mr. Correa doesn't seem to have a problem cause he never emailed me about it, and to the first person that I told his email to they said he was happy to write them a letter of recommendation as well! But going back to what I said before it would just eb better to go to High Tech since I'd "kinda" have more freedom and they have visual Arts.

Okay, so right before continuing to write this 3rd paragraph I remember one of the classes that I saw was avaliable in County Prep. It was "Excercise Science". The first thing I saw was "Excercise" and that immediately got me intrigued. But I for some reason I wasn't true that it would actually mean something to do with "Excercise" and lost interest. So instead I just picked "Science" (the last option). But since I just happened remember the class I went on google and found out that it literally means "Health", and learning about what excericse can do to your body physically, meantally, and health wise. I started to catch on and decided that when I re-do my application I pick Excercise Science because that will really be cool. From there, you can become an Orthepedic surgeon, health and physical education teacher, and trainer. That would be so cool, anyway that's it for today's post.

Poem

I literally just finished doing my school homework and I honestly feel so happy. Now I don't need to do anymore, if cause I haven't already told you this but ELA has really been stressing a lot of the kids in my class because of all the assignment my teacher gave to us, all of the mw assignments are easy but they take a lot of time because we had to do like 11 of them in 3 days. You might just think I'm complaining but believe me when I say this a complete pain in the butt, I don't have to any free time to myself because my bedtime is literally 8:30 P.M. Everyone else in my class goes to sleep at like 9:30 P.M and 10:00 p.m so no wonder they finish their homework faster than me, it's expected! Anyways, outside it's pretty wet and they're definitely is no way that anyone can outside and have fun, unless your just really dedicated. I would go to Lincoln park but the weather is just really bad so I'm staying home, warm and cozy.

I also want to walk about my High Tech thing, so yesterday I just finished my application and throughout the whole week I was so worried about having to finish my essay and my ELA Homeowork because that would just be treacherous. Thankfully, I was able to finish all of my homework and the application on the same date, mainly because I started writing my essay the day before. I thought that I was going to take like 2 hours but reailty the essay for me was like 20 minutes. One of my friends told me for him it was like a whole hour but if that's true he probably just can't type at all, because after 2,500 characters you can't go past and believe me, I did 2700 words so I had to take away the part about me praising the school for how good they are. I don't think that would've worked anyway ebcause they don't fall for a trick like that. I heard that they're are so many applications that sometimes they just take a quick look and if your application doesn't look good enough (visually) then you aren't allowed in.

Now I'm going to put up a little poem that I made about my school because it was for my homework, the words are actually the words I needed to use for my homework.

Persevere, contradict, vital, imperative

Our School:
At Belovedccs we strive to be the best,
Never let those other schools make us second best,
We persevere and work hard to become what we want,
And also focus hard and listen to what we’re taught,
It’s imperative that our students stay up get A’s,
Cause we’re not like other schools we don’t like to play games,
If you ever contradict one of our core values,
Just know that means your getting kicked out this school, shall you?
One more time let’s hear it again,
Our grades are vital to become what we want,
We also persevere and and work hard to listen to what we’re taught,
If you can’t do homework or follow the rules too,

Then maybe that means you belong to another school dude,

You wanna know what happened today? The school literally gave the kids another schedule! And tomorrow they're gonna do it a 3rd time because the periods still aren't all completely filled in. I just can't believe that after a whole month the school still hasn't got itself figured out? I mean sure its a big school but managing a schedule and proof checking it should've been something done before school even started. Yet, for some reason it's still beat 98% of New Jersey in terms of the pace of children learning because apparently we are one of the highest. Yet from my perspective I would say that most of the kids definitely don't look like they're learning at a good pace, I mean someone of them still don't even wash their hands!

How can you teach people that refuse to do something as simple as rubbing they're hands against water? I'd rather have someone who at least uses only water instead of someone who doesn't even go near the bathroom sink. Anyway, today we started with ELA once again and it seems as though we students aren't even going to use the notebooks anymore. I can support this with the fact that my teacher was super happy when they finally gave the chromebooks. At the start of the year she clearly stated that she hated having to use paper and then waste it because she doesn't know how to keep her papers in check. So using the Chromebooks to her was much needed and to be honest now I don't need to carry as many books because everything is packing into one medium sized piece of technology.

Now it's time to talk about recess because I didn't enjoy teh rest of the day (it was just boring). After eating lunch we went outside and played Soccer but that was before the attendents were making us really confused. Since there were little kids on the field we were going to go to the playground but then another group of kids headed in that direction and they they didn't know where to take us. Eventually, it was just to go teh field and seperate the little kids from us teenagers. I actually came up witht eh idea and the attendent just told everyone else, then we played a regular game of soccer and I enjoyed it a lot because I megged a couple of little kids and then got a good work of cardio so no one can complain about that.

Monday, October 22, 2018

I was expecting big changes today because my teachers said that after 4 weeks we should be getting our chromebooks and a new schedule since the old one seems to not fit well with the classes. However, the new schedule was even worse because they made it so that in one of our periods there were three different classes supposed to go there. I'll talk more about that specific incident later. Anyways, at the beginning of homeroom one of my friends brought me over to the teacher's desk where they're were about 26 chromebooks just sitting there with chargers. I was excited as well because the chromebooks had a special protected case that made them look even cooler, but the point was that after waiting almost a month we were finally getting it! I felt pretty good but had sympathy for the kids who didn't get their chromebooks for not turning their own papers.

The only part that would prevent me from being even more symathetic was the fact that it was because of them that my class just got their chromebooks. We would've gotten them like 2 or three days ago but nooo, some of the students didn't bring their's in because it was "lost". And the sad thing was that one of those students was sitting right next to me, but since he was my friend I decided it would be pretty harsh to say that. Once we got the chromebooks and had a couple of minutes to put our emails adn logins into it the first period started, they are giving us students an extra 20 to 30 minutes for the homeroom because of this new schedule so I'm pretty happy in that sense. In English Language Arts and Mathematics we got to use chromebooks both of the times and are basically expected to have it with you in any class besides P.E or Lunch (which technically isn't even a class).

Here is where things get rough for the new schedule, and props to the new chromebooks as well! You see, that one period was actually science and after lunch we were supposed to go to that cass according to the paper. But when we reached there the teacher said that we must've had the wrong number. And then one of the kids from the other advanced class told us we were supposed to go to Math since our classes are together for math and ela. So we went back upstairs and turns out that was the period we were supposed to have. Then, once Math was over my class assumed we were supposed to have Science and went downstairs. But the teacher said that she was already deciding whether to take another 2 classes. So we went to the Music Room which was free and sat down to do Khanacademy. I would've bene pretty bored if we didn't have the laptops so thanks Beloved!

After finishing my homework and going on the computer for a little while I heard my sister calling me from my phone. She and my father had just reached Journal Sqaure where i suspected they would start coming home. However, my dad said that he wanted to go to McDonalds that way he wouldn't have to make lunch home and could relax. I didn't really have a problem with this so I put on my sweater, plugged in my earphones, and started running to McDonalds. There, they had just finished ordering and were comtemplating and where to sit. We were originally going to sit on the those high tables with high chairs but there were people surrounding us, and my father doesn't like other people with us. So we found another spot on the opposite side that had a small table and small chairs. This is time there was like one less person but an annoying kid with this mother, but I didn't feel like moving anymore and neither did my dad.

It took only 5 minutes and eventually our food came to us, it feels kind of obvious that McDonalds just makes pre-made burgers and stuff so that when people order it they can just put it on the table. The only reason you would see them making new ones is if they ran out, and that happens a lot because everyone likes their food (they way they taste, not how healthy it is). I did not want to drink the milkshake that my father got for me because it had just too many calories. A couple of days ago, a found out my "BMI" or "Body Mass Index" and by multiplying that number by 1.2 I found out just how many calories my body should intake everyday. The number turned out to be 1900, and then by decreasing that by 500 to 400 I got 1400, which means that if I continue to eat around 1400 calories a day I should start to lose weight without even trying, although my body will start to get hungry. And that's exactly what I did starting yesterday.

I didn't eat dinner knowing that then I would go above 1400 since I already had a big mac and small milkshake for lunch which equals to roupghly 100 calories, along with my morning breakfast which was just an egg and cheese sandwich, (i'd say that should be equivalent to around 300 to 400 calories. After McDonalds and going home my dad went to watch TV and I decided to go outside to Lincoln Park in order to excercise. I didn't go on Friday because it was a school day and only staying there for one hour wouldn't be good enough. I also quit trying to learn the skateboard because if I'm going to follow my excercise routine then I should just run or even walk instead, that way I'm burning calories as well. I did a couple of both pull-ups and muscle ups, before proceding to do in-outs and leg raises. I just continued this routine because it hits all of my body parts at once. The arms (muscle ups and pull ups), upper body (in-outs), and lower body(leg raises). I even tried something new and wanted to incorporate the rings as well but it was pretty hard at first. Anyway, that was what I did yesterday!

Today I want to talk about this one book that I've started reading called, "Night of the Living Cuddle Bunnies". I've been reading this for about 2 daysnow and it isn't a bad book by far, to be hoenst I was kind of trying to keep away from reading it because I wanted to finish the Darkest Minds series but that started getting boring after finishing the second book so I came to read this one. Thats why for this post I am going to be doinga  summary fo what I have been reading so far. So there is this one kid named, "Devin" that lives with his parents and little sister in a town called, "Gravesend". They have the usual, both parents are working, the little sister is always annoying, and their house isn't bad by nay means. One day, a new neighbor starts to live in the house in front of them and Devin's mother feels like inviting him over for a dinner to welcome him into the neighborhood.

However, Devin and his cousin "Tommy" work together to try and stop the new neighbor from coming inside of the house because they think it is a witch. The reasoning behind this is that when the movers were putting stuff inside the house the two boys saw what looked like a giant pot or "cauldron" and broomsticks. Then, one night they heard loud bangs and colorful explosions coming from inside of the new house. But, when Devin tells her mother and father they find it hard to to believe him and still go along with their plan, like what most people would do if they heard a 12 year old kid tell them that theirs a witch living across the street. As the night is approaching and the sky starts to get darker Devin's mother and father take him and his little sister out shopping because she's been making tantrums and crying for this new doll that just came out. It's called, "The Cuddle Bunny" and everywhere it's sold out. So when they come back home you can believe just how mad she was.

It was finally time, when the door was knocking Devin warned everyone to not open the door. However, his mom just pushed him and opened it. He started yelling until realizing that the person at the door wasn't even a girl, it was a guy! And he looked old but sort of happy smirking. He went inside and greeted Devin and the rest of the family. Tommy had a bottle filled with Holy water to attack the man who he called a "Warlock (male version of a witch)", unfortunately when he did it the only thing that came out of it was Devin having to clean up the mess. Tommy felt bad but knew that this wasn't his only chance to stop the Warlock with Devin. Devin's mom sent Tommy back to his parents who weren't gald to see him so early. Then Devin was grounded for a long time, but not without seeing Herb wink at him (that's when he knew the guy was evil). That's it for now, thanks for reading.

One day there was a random boy that was caught stealing from the local Pharmacy, the lady was yelling at him outside of the entrance and said he was going to get in big trouble if he ever came back. However, before the woman went back inside one of the men that was running a shop around the corner asked the boy why he stole the medicine. The kid sadly said that it was for his mother because she was super sick. The man gave the money to the woman and asked his daughter who was around the same age as the boy to prepare some food. When the medicine and food was inside of the bag he handed it to the boy. If the kid was grateful he didn't show it because he snatched the bag and ran off back to his house hoping his mother was okay.

But the man knew he did the right thing and lectured his daughter about helping others. 15 years later, that same man was super old and his daughter was just becoming an adult, yet they still ran the old shop around the same corner and got a lot of customers. One day a homeless came around and asked for some food to eat. The man knew the well being of kindness and handed him two bags filled with noodle soup to eat (for free). The homeless person brought his hands up in a sign of graditude and then walked away. Then for some reason, the man's head started getting dark and he felt dizzy, the customer in front of him asked if he was okay and he said yes.

However, after walking a couple of steps back he fell down and hit his head against the table (the edge of the table). The daughter asked the customer to call 911 and the ambulance came to take the man to the nearest hospital. The only problem was, how was she gonna pay for all the costs because it was almost $10,000... Going home, she started crying and knew there was no way they would be able to pay this off, even with a loan from the bank because then they'd be paying that off for the rest of their lives. She had no other family besides her father and couldn't let him leave her just yet. So she asked people on the street for money and begged explaining her situation. But, everyone either thought she was crazy for asking so much money or lying.

Normal people wouldn't go begging on the street for money and crying but she was so desperate she couldn't think of anything else. Unfortunately, some people called the police and asked whether or not she needed to go to a therapist. Believe me, the girl was super pissed and just started bawling all over the ground. The cops out her in a car and asked what she was doing. After hearing her explanation they let her out and said sorry.

Finally, when the day came to pay the bills she was done. The banks wouldn't let her take a loan out for that much money and she was having a pretty tough time running the shop. That's when relief and confusion came over her all at once, apparently the costs were paid 20 years ago... She didn't know what this meant and then realized that boy who her father gave the food and medicine too was the person who paid for all the expenses. He was also a docter and coincidentally assigned to that same man that helped save his mother from dying in bed. The next day, she thanked the man and they had a nice conversation over dinner before parting ways and going back to their regular ways.

One day a boy named, "Nam" was born in a small town called "Kishimoto". His parents were in the middle class in terms of money and didn't need to worry about paying for Nam's education unlike other families. However, what they didn't know what that Nam was going to become one the world's leading top gamers. Growing up he got a phone at around 12 years old like the rest of the kids in his school and loved playing games, they were probably what he spent most of his time on besides school and studying. He and his classmates would compete and usually Nam would win because of how much time he spent on his computer. This allowed him to get more experience at a faster rate since his parents trusted him to make his own decisions (when to eat, got to sleep, etc). Unfortunately, at the beginning year of high school Nam's grades started to fall apart based on all his time on the computer. He wasn't studying hard enough and sometimes missed homeowrk more often than not.

His parents would soon recognize this and they even started to set boundaries on Nam's gaming. This had never happened before only because he seemed to be getting fine on his own, but now they realized the condition that they're poor boy was in. He always looked super tired and got really skinny. Almost like he had totally forgotten about food while gaming. Some of the parents in the neighborhood though he was sick with some type of disease, at that point they knew they had to end this. So Nam's parents signed the boy up for sports and hired tutors to help him. There were some days where he was never even allowed to go on his computer and Nam started going crazy. They had to put him in with a therapist every week and he wouldn't enjoy it, thinking about what type of games he would get to play the next day. Finally, the kid started to make more friends since the only people he talked to were his parents and other players online from around the world.

Nam was very happy to know that he was active and getting his grades back in school, but still missed his passion for gaming because at the rate he was going he could've become part of an actual team. So after abandoning his gaming for a whole year Nam went back ona dn made a new account knowing that it would be too hard for him to compete at the level of play he used to be at. And somehow, he still destroyed the enemy team. He started getting better and better while making sure he was eating right and playing sports. Soon enough, one group called, "Liquid" noticed his name starting to pop up around the internet and asked if he wanted to tryout for their team. Nam was already too excited and glady took a series of tests that would later make him part of the world's biggest gaming organization. The lesson? Keep your life and game in check and balanced!

There was once a little boy named Jimin that was always picked on by the older kids in his class. He was already in 6th grade but only 4 foot 6 and needed to get taller fast. However, sooner or later he started not to care about his height and focus more on his parent's financial state and how poor that were. The moment he realized they were poor was when he asked for some shoes that were only $20 at the nearby market. His parents said that they needed the money to go and buy food so they couldn't pay for the shoes. At this point Jimin was basically just running around with his feet naked and his parents felt bad but knew they couldn't help because of all the bills to pay. Everyday the boy has nothing to eat and has to beg the lunch lady's to give him the food for free even though it's mandatory to pay 40 cents.

The amount of bullying that Jimin was going through was unbearable and he didn't even feel like going to school anymore. But his only motivation was knowing that in order to make money and help his parents he needed to work hard and study for a good paying job. As Jimin got older his parents were really starting to get sick and couldn't feed him anymore. Jimin needed to work at least 3 jobs to pay for the medicine, food, and small little house that they were living in. One day, his mother died peacefully but wrote her will two days before asking Jimin to take all of the money that she saved up and to work hard in school. Jimin had forgot about school because of all the jobs he worked and realized education was the only way to success. So he used that money to get books for high school and hire someone to take care of his father.

Unfortunately, time had come and his father died from cancer. The woman who was taking care of him said that he wanted her to tell Jimin to keep working hard and never forget what his mother had told him. So Jimin worked even harder than ever before and that was when his graduation came. He was voted valedictorian and knew his parents would've been happy for him. The man (now) wanted to thank his parents and teachers for bringing him up to this moment. They wouldn't need to worry about whether he could take care of himself because he had a good paying job and a wife. Jimin will never forget his mom's words, "To work hard in school and take care of yourself".

Like I said yesterday today was a dress down for the security guard who died the day before due to a heart attack. I'm pretty sure that most of the kids didn't even care if he died because after the announcement everyone was just so excited for the clothes they were going to wear. It just seems kind of wrong with someone dying adn then you start talking ike nothing ever happened, even though we did have a moment of silence for the guy. Anyways thankfully tomorrow is also my P.E day so I can wear comfortbale clothes once again! Now you know this popular k-pop band called BTS that I was talking about before. Well, basically I've started talking to the one girl that  was obsessed was BTS and she told me to watch it so I've been busy watching their music videos for the past while. And let me just say that their music is so amazing!

If their song's and music videos are already this good to a person who doesn't even know the language that their singing in, then I can't even explain how a Korean person would think of them. My sister thinks that they're horrible but I completely disagree. Remember when I said that one of the girls in my class decided to even learn Korean? Well, I wasn't joking, and I can understand why. The choreography is amazing and the vocals for every note is spectacular. They truly are the definition of what K-POP really is. It's a mix of dancing and singing all at once, besides the fact that it's either a boy or girl korean band. I haven't seen a girl and boy korean band mixed together yet, although that isn't possible.

I'm just wondering all the restrictions that they have in life in order to maintain they're popularity and class! I bet none of them can even get into relationships because it might distract them from there job as part of BTS. What if one of them got a little bit too chubby and they didn't accept them to be a part of the band anymore? Or if they were suddenly not good looking enough for the fans to like them anymore? Then, what would happen to them? Would they get kicked off the band and join another or have no more jobs for their resume? That's it for today's post and I hope you enjoy it!

Apparently today one of the security guards died from a heart attack and they are having a dress down in his honor. I don't understand why they don't just go ahead and make it free instead of trying to profit from it, I mean what people would do that to mourn someone's death? Either way, that doesn't mean that I'm not going to dress down ebcause tomorrow isn't Physical Education so I'll have to go ahead and wear my belt and khaki pants. Honestly, I'd rather pay one dollar and feel comfortable for the day then not. Who wouldn't? Just to give you some more insight on this person his name was Larry and he was really old, the guy died from a hear attack and I feel really lucky for my father because he's been experiencing stuff like this almost every month. I wonder if it was Larry's first heart attack. The colors for the dress down are white, blue, red, and black. Your only supposed to wear these colors for your clothes because it was his favorite team's colors. That's really cool, but still why make us pay one dollar to mourn the loss of someone?

Now on to some of the stuff that I did at school, for P.E I was super happy when my gym teacher said that we were going to be doing Line Soccer for our game. This made me super happy because I was actually hoping that was the game we would play even though it was Soccer Season. I guess he could see this was the game we would play, or he literally heard me talking about it while entering the gym. Either way, we played and I did some of the coolest stuff ever! I nutmegged (kgot the ball through the other person's feet) Jacob Turingham (which is like the most athletic person in our class) and also headbutted the ball that was in the air with the back of my head and it made it into the goal. Believe me, I wasn't even thinking about trying to make the shot. I just wanted to get it away from my opponents. And to think I had hit it into the goal without even looking in that direction. The second goal that I made was accidentel, I just kicked it to t he side of the net and one of teamates happened to be standing there and it bounced off of him into the goal.

Finally, I just want to talk about Lunch, today it was Curry and I really enjoyed it! The Curry had tomatoes, some type of chicken that tasted good, and thal or whatever they want to call it. And the best part, I didn't have to pay for it because the Lunch Lady was in the kitchen so I got it for free while nobody was looking. Now some people might thinking I was doing something wrong by taking it without paying but I just want to let you know that the lunch lady doesn't even sit in her seat for half of the time and when I was going to pay 40 cents for my milk she let me go because she thought it was dumb I had to pay for some small carton of milk. So props to her for being nice, and even called my school picture cute (it was taken when I first came to school and is still registered as that), believe me I didn't think it was anything near adorable.

I got a haircut yesterday and thankful for my aunt to take me because even though she wanted to go outside in the first place she didn't have to take me to the barbershop. My hair was starting to go a little crazy in the side and got really curly in the front so that's why I didn't like it (too hard to manage). No one else in my family understands because my dad has no hair in the first place and the other three women in the house bairly even vut their hair in the first place so I was all alone for this one. Believe me, my sister did not want to come and I never told her to come with my aunt and me. But, my dad thought that she needed to get some fresh air outside instead of going on her phone so that's exactly what she did. And for the first half of the trip to the barbershop she was really grouchy and cried a lot. We tried to stop her but it just made us looked bad in public around everyone else.

My mom told my aunt and me that the barbershop was in 5th ave but in reailty it was in 23rd street 5th ave. Apparently, those are two totally different places. So we wasted about 20 minutes just trying to find the barbershop that was there. Then, we took the R train all the way to the correct destination and was able to find the shop. While I was getting my haircut the barber remembered that I had come here 2 other times and said that he knew what haircut I wanted. There was a sort of barrier between us because he talked so quietly that I could not understand while the razor was starting. Thankfully, he did a great job and I happily gave him a $5 tip. The people there are honestly really funny and I enjoy their kind attitudes, especially while cutting my hair. The barber even asked me if I remembered the people that cut my hair but unfortunately I said no because their faces were blurry in my mind.

After the aircut we went to McDonalds to eat food and visited Times Sqaure. It was a magnificent site and I sincerely enjoyed the view and wish I had enough battery to take a couple pictures. My aunt asked me why TImes Sqaure was so popular and I told her about the view and the amount of stores that are here but she didn't seem conviced. This is also a very popular place for people to hang out and watch movies together at the two huge theaters AMC and Regal. Anyway, after looking at Times Square a little more we took teh R train back to the world trade center and then headed home. The End.

From the very start of the morning I was thinking about going to Lincoln park because I needed to actually use the bars. I don't have the pullup bars at the park nearest to me and besides it's filled with mosquitos. So when my father asked my sister and I if we wanted to go outside for breakfast I was totally on board. My first suggestion was to go to Wonder Bagel but my father said that we go there all the time, which isn't true because for teh past month or so I haven't eaten there. Then I came up with going to the McDonalds at Lincoln Park and he agreed. After waiting a couple minutes for the car to finish getting ready we started driving to 440. However, we passed McDonalds and instead went to Burger King. Believe me I had a huge problem with skipping McDonalds to go to Burger King of all places but he didn't seem to mind.

So we went inside and I suddenly remembered the first and only other time we came here. I was around 6 years old and the place looked exactly the same. Now something that I think is a problem for Fast Food Restaurants is how the kitchen is literally out in the open so your customers can see. Now everyone knows that Fast Food isn't healthy and looking at how they make the food is even worse so why show it to the consumers. That'll just disgust them and make them go away. You should make some type of border or little wall so that the cashier people can go in and out of the two rooms. Anyways, I ordered something that McDonalds didn't have and that was an "Egg-normous-burrito".

Now I know McDonalds has burritos but they aren't as huge, although I can probably say from eating the two that McDonalds have much better burritos. It was about 900 calories so I know that I definitely won't be hungry for another cople hours but to be honest I totally hated the taste. The bacon totally ruined the first couple of bites and the sauce was even more treacherous. Burger King needs to step up their game, no wonder everyone goes to McDonalds. Finally, after the burger king my dad agreed to take my sister and I to lincoln park where he was running in the track while I was using the abrs on the warmup section. Sure it's good to run at least one or two laps but what's the point if your going to be walking back home? So I just went on the bars before all three of us headed home.

Today was definitely a lot more enjoyable because my school had a $1 dress down. At first I didn't know what to pick and decided to roll with some sweatpants but after realizing that there wasn't going to be gym in the first place why not be more comfortable. So I grabbed a pair of shorts and head back into the bathroom. After finally deciding what I was going to wear I saw my sister leave with my aunt and felt bad that I didn't get to say goodbye. But, as of right then there were more important things to handle, for instance.

The fact that I needed to have something to eat for Lunch since the school pizza on Fridays is horrendus. I literally just cannot eat it, the pizza is basically just plastic with a bit of "taste" (if you can even call it that in the first place). I don't blame the school cafeteria workers because they didn't order the food, they just have the duty of microwaving the food to us children. Anyway, I was going to wear my windbreaker but then realized that if I wore the windbreaker to school I'd have to take it off while entering the building, and then put it back on inside of my classroom because the security guards wouldn't be informed about the dress down. You are given to choice to put your phone in the little small box that the teachers have a key to but I just shut it down and put it inside of my backpack so that I could use it while dismissal was starting.

During recess I was playing soccer and there was this one boy that joined in while we were playing and I really admired his courage playing with a bunch of (big kids). We played and he was able to nutmeg at least 5 of the players on the team. I thought it was pretty funny because everytime he juked one of the players, everyone started screaming and jumping on the player that got juked. My greatest achievement that game was hitting the ball with my shoulder when it was like 20 feet in the air. The girl who kicked it started running up to me and asked if I was okay... I made sure she knew I was okay and by that time recess was already over.

I actually took the PSAT 8/9 yesterday and it definitely wasn't as hard as I expected. But before I get to that let's start from the very beginning. So my father got mad at me because I wasn't wearing the school uniform even though my guidance counselor clearly explained that we could wear whatever we wanted. However, he had veins starting to show on his head and his face was just getting really red, so I felt bad and did as he said while knowing how uncomfortable my day was going to be. When we were in the car midway my father asked me which school we were going to, and I was astonished because why were we even driving in the first place? Anyways, I told him the address and in 5 minutes time we had reached our destination. To the proud school of "Franklin L Williams School". There were a couple of kids who were already there but for the most part I was probably the first 20% who entered the giant room first.

I was honestly baffled by the huge amount of kids that came in one by one as I was sitting in my seat. Most of the kids to my left were other folks from Beloved but this one girl to my right was from another school. And let me tell you she was extremely annoying. I think she almost tried to flirt with one of the boys next to her, which I know for a fact wasn't in her school because he asked whether he knew her. It was kind of funny but of course if I started laughing it would be rude, and considering the nice Asian Bhuddist that I am I simply turned to my left and started talking to this other girl about Anime. Don't worry, she wasn't from another school so it wasn't a complete stranger that I just turned around and was like, "What up! I like Anime, do you?". Finally, a really old woman with tons of dots and wrinkles on her face came up to the front and asked everyone to get ready for when your number was called. And belive me I came in contact with this woman more than once.

When my number was called we entered the room and started getting our scamtrons filled out. Remember that one old woman that I was talking about? Well, she basically just stood next to me for the entire portion of the first section so I couldn't stretch my arms or look around the room cause then she'd think I was cheating. Eventually, she went away to torture another student with her constant staring so I was saved. After the 4 sections my brain was done for the day and I was just putting my calculator and pencil case inside of my bookpack. And to think my dad bought a 120 dollar calculator at Staples the day before the test just so that I couldn't use it, believe me, I was extremely pissed. But I can understand this calculator could in someway be considered unfair cause of how "new" and advanced it was. After the test, I talked to a couple of kids for maybe 2 minutes before walking to my dad's car and driving home. That's it for today's post!

Monday, October 8, 2018

I just finished about 6 to 5 math videos and honestly I feel pretty good. This is mainly because I basically never study and still get decent grades so when I have a pretty huge test that I know I won't do good on by not studying it really gives me a boost of confidence. Also, even though I don't believe in luck my teacher said that people tend to do something if they continuously say they can do it. Like if someone said, "I'm gonna do super good on this test," they have this sort of mentality to study and work hard getting that good grade. Meanwhile, someone who says they aren't gonna get a good grade and doesn't study at all will most likely not get a good grade. But then I wonder, how come this is one of the few times I've actually studied and yet things have been going fine up until this moment? The math videos that I've been watching are some that my teacher recommended.

He said to not waste time working on those Algebraic equations like Quadratics and other stuff because we haven't learned about this yet. And plus, the high schools only want to know what your basic knowledge of Algebra is. I quote his exact words, "So if you want to get into one of those high schools, make sure to do good on that Algebra section that we've been doing for the past three weeks". Remember, this is coming from the guy who got one of the highest test scores on the SAT for his school and has been teaching for 16 years, so I'm not going to question his logic. I find it in disbelief when the kids in my class can't spell things like "together" and "Algebra" but then I realize that unlike most of them, I'm the complete opposite.

When I was coming over to my friends and we were sharing our PARCC scores I noticed that most of them didn't get above 800 in the first place (lol), but the ones that did were usually in Math. Like I bet the few students who got 800 on both were like in the top 5% of our school). Meanwhile, I get a 750 on Math (which is still super good since most students had 500 to 200s, and an 813 on ELA. I can assure you, the kids in other classes (besides the advanced one that I'm in) did not do nearly as good. Basically, to most students Math is so much easier than ELA. I can understand this is mostly because of my dad forcing me write 5 paragraphs for the past three years (I was able to persuade him to make me write only 3 now) and we never did any Math practice "together" since the Math was getting too complicated for him. I don't blame the guy, he didn't get a chance to go to a good high school or college in Tibet or India. Anyways, that's it for today's post!

Sunday, October 7, 2018

It was totally unexpected but yesterday my mother went outside to New York so that she could get a present for one of our cousin's daughters (it was her brithday). Usually I wouldn't care about stuff like this but since I hadn't gone outside at all today I decided to come with them. Plus, they weren't staying long, only for like an hour to meet some friends, eat some food, and give the present. The reason that she invited my mom was because were "distant" relatives to their family and my aunt seemed to know one of their grandma's in india so of course they were allowed to come. There was no one my size except for the girls but they were in the basement watching bts (korean k-pop band). I was surprised to here the music because I thought the only person addicted was the girl at my school.

Turns out, I was wrong, they have a huge fan base. And I would know, considering how that same girl in my class was livestreaming their concert on Instagram (and screaming). Anyways, it took us a while before we reached the party and the house was honestly really cool. I like the way it looked in the inside and it had a small basement as well as a good backyeard and front. There was enough space for a car to fit in and tables to be set for the people who were coming to teh party. There were lots of traditional Tibetan Food that I ate at home, but for some reason eating them now was just so much better. They even had a soccer ball, and half of the front yard was surrounded by fences and gravel so it looked super cool. Obviously I couldn't play soccer because the gravel just made the ball sink but it felt good using an actual ball, I use a volleyball which is significantly lighter.

After the party was over my sister recalled this one boy in the house that was strangling her even though she told him to stop. This actually happened right next to me but I thought it was all for play because she wasn't yelling or screaming. Just trying to get him off her (which seemed playful at first). The adults offered gatorade to the kids but since I'm not even excercising there is no point in Gatorade. It's just more suger in my body since I'm not using it to it's full potential. Basically, there was nothing that I could do. Basically that was the end of the day I am very happy to have gone to that party because if I didn't then I would've had to have stayed home the whole day and that definitely would have been tragic for me. Usually, I would've been fine with that but ever since my game was taken away I have had nothing to do so going outside is probably the best option.

Saturday, October 6, 2018

Yesterday I had a great time at Lincoln Park  and I was having some quality time by myself. Anyways, I had a good time at the track field. Now the track field is a place at Lincoln Park that I previously thought was private or you needed to join a cetain club to be in. But after further research I realized that it was for free and no one could tell you to stop. So after coming home and watching a couple shows of "Ghost Adventures" with my sister I rode my skateboard to the park. Today I was able to loosen the "trunks" on my skateboard so that I could turn easier.

Because before I had to literally plant my foot backward and apply enough force that the wheels would suddenly turn to another direction. This feeling really gave me the chills, even if I was just standing and practicing it. However, today while I was searching for some batteries I saw a wrench and decided to make my wheels loose. That way I could just lean over to one side and it would move like that. This is actually the recommended way for people to ride their skateboards so I was pretty happy to find the wrench. Side note: the reason I was looking for the batteries was because the keyboard wasn't working.

At the track field there is also a little area at the back that has a "stretching", area but in reailty most people use it to do calisthenix. It's basically a form of excercising other than weightlighting (using weights). The reason it's different from weightlighting is that inside of lifting a couple of weights you actually use your own body weight to excercise and train your muscle groups. So excercises like push-ups, dips, and pullups are the main ones that really give people the image of calisthenix. I'm not even sure whether I'm pronouncing this right. The reason I'm using this method of excercising is because it helps with your mobility and that relates to soccer.

Meanwhile, weightlighting is just having big muscles, it doesn't help make you faster or do better in sports. If you wanna be able to life 100 pounds, then sure, weightlifting is the way to go. I just want to see results throughout my body and make me physically better as well, that blend well with what I like to do (soccer). The first thing I did was one lap around the track and it didn't take long, however my heart was beating super fast and I don't know why. After a couple of minutes my breathing turned back to normal and I was comfortable doing some pushups and sit-ups. And what really makes me confused is how the next 4 laps I did were so much easier than the first. Maybe my lung capacity suddenly got better over time?

Now that sounds ridiculous, and the truth is, it is. Because how could my body suddenly feel better after doing more laps. Realisticly, my last lap should've tired me out the most. Unless, I was walking a pretty long distance from here to Lincoln Park so maybe that was the reason why I got super tired. I did only take like a 5 second break to stretch my legs... Yeah that was probably the reason why... Afterwards, I continously spent at least a couple of minutes before my arms started to feel a little tired, since that was what I was using most of the time. It only got a rest when I was doing reps of sit-ups (my first excercise that I did that day). That's it for today's post!

I didn't really do much today that was fun because my only special was Spanish, however like everything else that's surprsing me today it wasn't bad at all. Just some work but for the most part I was able to multi-task, talk to my friends while working. I did feel bad for the teacher because while my friends and I were whispering the students in teh abck were yelling and laughing like they had nothing better to do. One of them even got caught with there phone and was in trouble with the Spanish teacher. She was trying to get a video on Snapchat with one of the kids in the class but was told on. I didn't feel bad at all because she was one of the usual people who were either annoying, had no problem calling themselves dumb, or thought everything we did was pointless (all at the same time)! And in the end she tried to get attention and no one looked at her or she tried to be quiet but was laughed about because of all the stupid things she does.

Remember, shes not like someone who you should feel bad for. I have seen her nice side but at this rate it's not going well cause 90% of the time she focuses on making other kids quiet while she isn't or is just such a huge distraction. I only say hi in the hallways or while in the classroom since we are in the room for most of the day. Thankfully, I haven't made a 1 on 1 conversation with her. I cannot just believe how much of this post I spent talking about one person who I despise. Now onto today, ELA and Math were the usual, pretty boring but extremely productive at the same time, I have to get through being bored in class and letting my mind wander off in someplace else. So it's good that I have a natural instinct to take notes even though I may not be paying attention. You could call it multi-tasking I guess.

Something that really threw me off was seeing my art teacher with a cast on her neck. Then, while my music teacher was talking to her I eavesdropped and found out she hurt her neck, how I still can't find out why. Now I feel pretty dumb because it's obvious she got hurt, otherwise why would she have a cast on her neck? Who knows, maybe she thinks it looks good, no I'm just kidding. During recess I was really enjoying playing soccer, although I was sweating like usual. I'm just happy for the cardio, my friends and I were practicing passing the ball to each other but picking it up with your foot and kicking it mid-air, with enough technique and power to send it propelling to the other person. And the challenge was that there was a little chair branch in between us and it would block the ball from going out if you went to low in the air. That's it for today's post!

After reading about 20 pages of my Social Studies textbook on the Civil War my father seemed to not believe me and wanted me to talk about it for this post. So that's exactly what I am going to be typing about. I am deciding not to go onto Google because technically that doesn't prove that I read, but that means that I can't tell you when exactly the Civil War happened because the textbook doesn't say (at least from where I started reading). However, it does explain that the first "battle" took place at Fort Sumter on 1861, I thought that the war took place in the 1700s but technically since that was the first fight it could be counted as the start of the war. The battle was taken by the confederates (rebels) and everyone that supported the Patriots were really getting their hopes down, since Fort Sumter was iconic.

Then again, one battle doesn't decide the fate of a war that almost lasted 4 years, unless it's like at the base of either side, then that's just a win win for the attackers. Anyway, this battle made Lincoln recgonize the states as being "rebels" and opposing the patriots. He didn't want slavery and saw it as a bad thing, just like the rest of his former colleages. So that was when the Union intiated their first attack, since technically the confederates surprised the Union (they were still deciding whether to start the war). From then on, many small and major battles took place. And many great generals lead their troops into battle, only to recieve loss after loss after loss. In the end, the Union was starting to win, the confederates had a good early start, especially since the Union's general's weren't exactly the best (mainly the troops who were not trained properly).

Soon enough, the final battle took place, the battle of "Gettysburg". Stonewall Jackson, one of the best, if not the best general of the confederate army surrender after seeing his allies die one by one in front of him. The man was very well known from both sides and they respected his bravery and stragetic thinking. But the tensions between the two sides were still very high, even now because you still see confederate flags in homes and some people even saw this on the news. My teacher was very specfic of that and said that he was thinking the news reporters purposely saw this flag and decided to capture it on tape as a sign of racism. Anyway, that is it for today's post.

Tuesday, October 2, 2018

I remember stating that Monday was the best day of the week but in reailty it's probably Wednesday. And you might be thinking, since it's Tuesday, shouldn't you have waited until tomorrow to talk about this? Your not wrong, but since I just feel like mentioning it, deal with it. On Wednesday we have P.E and Technology while on Monday it's only P.E and the rest is just like a regular day. Everyday there are at least 2 periods of ELA (today there were 3) and I just can't deal with it. Shouldn't there be some type of diversity? Last year one of the classes got to have P.E as their first period and they were really lucky. Then again, having to excercise or at least walk in the hot weather probbaly isn't that good, in the morning. Then yet again, if it's the morning then it will still be a bit windy, not "hot" like in the afternoon. Anyways, I want to talk about some things.

Today we had an unexpected Community Circle and my class was just as surprised as everyone else. In that period the dean of students for middle school was talking about everything that needs to be mentioned. Like privilages, the good and bad things so far in this year, and field trips. Now me and the kid next to me were raising our hands like crazy to talk about sport field trips. And when I say that I mean we should get to meet with a sport's team that's popular, specifically soccer. Most of the kids only had to say bad things about the school and I totally agree. We still haven't even gotten our chromebooks yet and that really sucks. Who cares about the students that didn't turn it in, that doesn't mean the ones that did shouldn't be able to get theirs.

My ELA teacher as usual hates papers and only does well on computers so she is begging for them to give the chromebooks, after that she hopes they will unblock Youtube because although it is mainly used for fun you cna get some great educational gains out of it and I personally agree. So once the community circle was over the dean of students wanted all of the kids that were going to take the PSAT stay and I was surpried by how small teh group was. It was around 20 people but considering the 120 something kids in 8th grade alone I feel like they are making a big mistake.

So what if your probably not going to get picked by any high schools (me), it still looks better on your college resume than not taking the test at all. And the PSAT they are talking about is teh PSAT 8/9 so yes the students have a choice. The actual PSAT for high school isn't optional. The guidance counselor wanted to inform us the date and that she was going to be giving each of us a ticket for the test so that you can enter the building and not get rejected.

Monday, October 1, 2018

It was long before some kids at my school noticed that I had gotten a new windbreaker. I wasn't expecting anyone to say anything except for my friend cause I usually hang out with him the most. However, just a few days ago when I first got the windbreaker I posted it on Instagram and a ton of my followers (friends at school mostly) saw them so they knew exactly what I was wearing. It honestly boggles my mind, but anyways for my first two periods I had ELA and it wasn't very fun. You see, my teacher tells us that if we can't keep track and stay in pace with what she's teaching us then that's our fault. And I'm not making a rant about how bad her teacher is. But rather she's doing a pretty good job of making the advanced class seperate from the rest. Or rather really expressing what the reason behind the advanced class is.

And I can tell that she despises the way the school is doing things. Ms.Turner hates the fact that we don't have our chromebooks yet and I completely understand too. She says that once they give us a chromebook then we are going to stop using paper, since it's a waste and she prefers typing, as well as me. P.E definitely wasn't as fun as I imagined mainly because it was so hot outside. I just wish that Winter would come. Now obviously I hate when we can't go to recess because then the only time we're walking or really moving our legs is through the hallways. But at least whenever there is recess it won't be super hot like today. I wasn't even wearing a windbreaker, just my shirt as one layer/ nothing else. Yet, the heat overwhelmed me and my body was just about to give in.

Thankfully, it was already time to head back inside for art class so I was okay. Art was probably my favorite period of the day because I was able to use oil pastels and really blend the colors well enough that my teacher seemed to be impressed. I did much better than most of the students, if not all of them (I think there was only one) and was super happy to almost be finished. While kids just started today, working on their work.
